Usual Adult Dose for Dyspepsia

Citric acid 2000 mg-potassium bicarbonate 688 mg-sodium bicarbonate 2100 mg orally every 4 hours as needed (or as directed)
Maximum dose: Citric acid 8000 mg-potassium bicarbonate 2752 mg-sodium bicarbonate 8400 mg/day
Duration of therapy: Up to 2 weeks

Use: For the relief of heartburn, acid indigestion, and/or sour stomach

Usual Geriatric Dose for Dyspepsia

60 years and older: Citric acid 2000 mg-potassium bicarbonate 688 mg-sodium bicarbonate 2100 mg orally every 4 hours as needed (or as directed)


Use: For the relief of heartburn, acid indigestion, and/or sour stomach

Usual Pediatric Dose for Dyspepsia

Children less than 12 years: Citric acid 1000 mg-potassium bicarbonate 344 mg-sodium bicarbonate 1050 mg orally every 4 hours as needed (or as directed)


Children 12 years and older: Citric acid 2000 mg-potassium bicarbonate 688 mg-sodium bicarbonate 2100 mg orally every 4 hours as needed (or as directed)

Use: For the relief of heartburn, acid indigestion, and/or sour stomach
