Applies to the following strengths: 15 mg-0.1 mg; 15 mg-0.2 mg; 15 mg-0.3 mg

Usual Adult Dose for Hypertension
Chlorthalidone 15 mg-Clonidine 0.1 to 0.3 mg orally once or twice a day
Maximum dose: Chlorthalidone 30 mg-Clonidine 0.6 mg orally per day
Use: Treatment of hypertension when the desired effect has not been achieved with monotherapy or as substitution for the titrated individual components.

Monitoring:
- Metabolic: Serum electrolytes prior to starting treatment and periodically thereafter.
Patient advice:
- Caution patients against interruption of this drug without a physician's advice.
- Advise patients who engage in potentially hazardous activities, such as operating machinery or driving, of a potential sedative effect of clonidine.
- Encourage patients to contact their physician if they experience any symptoms of potassium loss (e.g., excess thirst, tiredness, drowsiness, restlessness, muscle pains or cramps, nausea, vomiting, or increased heart rate).
