"I had 80% of my body covered with psoriasis, and after taking this shot, it all went. Been taking this for 5 years, and it completely took it away. Have had no side effects. Before I had this shot, I had to put oil on my hair every three days and slept with it, my head was stiff like a tight cap was on it. It gave me my life back."

"This wonderful drug is a game changer! Had psoriasis all my life, really bad. Now it’s 98% gone, I feel liberated. A day never passes that I don’t feel forever grateful for this amazing drug. I was nervous about side effects, as I react badly to a lot of drugs, but no side effects at all. Just got over a cold without antibiotics, so happy my immune system is still strong enough. A bit more worn out from the cold than I would have been before, but a small price to pay. No cost to me, thank you, Irish health care system."

"About 80% covered with psoriasis for years. Stelara cleared me until after the first month of the three-month shot. Then came back with a vengeance. Couldn’t have another shot for 2 more weeks. That ended my freedom from itching and being finally able to wear a short sleeve shirt. Trying Cosentyx without much success. So wish I could have taken Stelara every month rather than every 3 months."

"I had between 20% to 60% plaque psoriasis coverage over 40 years. My back was completely covered, my ribcage and scalp fully covered, and forearms and legs heavy too. I have used Diprobase, coal tar and UVB, methotrexate, Betnovate, Dovonex, PUVA & soralen, Dovobet, and ciclosporin before using Stelara. I have been using Stelara since 2010 and saw instant improvements back then. Over the years, it has been less effective, but I am very happy to report that I have around 10% coverage during bad times and normally 5% to 7% coverage most of the time. This allows me to play sports, run, and hike, although I get run down pretty easily after a long run or if I get a cold. It's important to listen to your body, and I believe all problems come from my gut, so I try to eat plant-based if I can as it seems to calm my flare-ups. Interestingly, I went on a juice plan for 14 days and my psoriasis cleared completely, which confirmed my gut theory, although it's not a sustainable plan for me."

"Started getting psoriasis in 2003. Had ultraviolet treatment at first, which worked. When it returned, was put back on UV, but skin reacted badly, so was put on methotrexate. Was on that for a few years, but slowly psoriasis returned, and liver was starting to be affected. Had to come off methotrexate and let psoriasis get really bad before NHS (UK) would administer Stelara. Started Stelara in 2019 with immediate results and no side effects. Virtually no psoriasis except at one spot on leg. Just been put onto biosimilar Pyzchiva, I assume due to cost. Been a 5-week delay due to change, so psoriasis is returning. Time will tell if Pyzchiva is as good."

"Stelara completely cleared me of psoriasis. My story is unusual as I started using Stelara as part of a control group in a medical study for a different drug. From the first few treatments, my skin cleared from psoriasis. At the end of the study, which was about two years in duration, I was told that I had been receiving Stelara all along. For now, I’m employed and have good insurance, but if not, the cost is prohibitive."

"Stelara has been 99% successful in clearing my psoriasis, which I’ve had all of my adult life, and I’m now 80. During my life, it has varied widely in intensity and condition, and I have tried everything you can imagine to fix it. At times, it has been almost unbearable: the itching, the flaking, and weeping sores. I've been using Stelara for a year, and it has transformed my condition, with no noticeable side effects. A huge relief! Like many, I’m squeamish about needles, but rubbing the alcohol in thoroughly means I get a pain-free injection every three months."

"I have been on Stelara for over 10 years but recently went on Medicare. It is not affordable, nor does JJ care about those on Medicare. These drugs have been around for years and do not require the giant fees. The drug is great. It does not require over $12,000 every three months to produce this medication. Start planning early when you get older. Unless you are a lot under the poverty level, there are no grants or foundations to help."

"My dermatologist suggested this as I have both psoriasis and ulcerative colitis. It cleared almost all of my psoriasis and I'd still be on it, except that I'm on Medicaid right now and they won't cover it. My psoriasis is back, and worse, I think. I didn't have any side effects that I could say were directly related to the Stelara. I wish it didn't cost so much."

"I started the Stelara injection 5 years ago, and it's a miracle cure for my plaque psoriasis. It only took weeks to clear, and the side effects for me are minimal."

"I suddenly had plaque psoriasis show up at age 56 (male) with no general history of skin conditions before. Within one year, the plaque psoriasis had expanded to 40% of my body. Within one month of the first injections, I was on the way to clear skin. I have been clear-skinned for the past four years now. No side effects that I am aware of. For me, it has been like magic-amazing."
