"I usually have neck pain and tension headaches before it turns into a migraine. These headaches would last for days. Ubrelvy has been a miracle pill. I've been using it for 8 months, and it has worked on every migraine except one. I usually get 3 or 4 a month. No neck pain or headache. It's all gone within an hour or two. I have had no side effects. This drug has changed my life."

"I was receiving BOTOX treatments for my migraines, my insurance (United Healthcare) decided to deny them after 6 years unless I wanted to pay in full for the treatment (which I can't afford). They agreed to Ubrelvy, out of 5 my Neuro sent over to them (it wasn't my Dr's 1st pick). It has not made my stomach upset (thankfully), I experienced dry mouth and being tired (zombie-like). However, it hasn't helped with the 1 migraine so far, and I have tried back-to-back doses. I've been using it for a month now (about 6 doses). I just want/need to be without pain for at least 1 day."

"Finally got in to see a neurologist specializing in headaches/migraines. My primary doctor originally prescribed 50 mg of sumatriptan, which made my excruciating migraines go away within one hour. Except I started having heart and muscle weakness issues along with the usual 10-15 migraines per month. She switched me to 100 mg Ubrelvy (50 mg did nothing). It worked within 2 - 2 1/2 hours. Except I would still get migraines 10-15 times per month, especially at night if I tried to sleep on my side. The specialist then added 2 mg of tizanidine at bedtime. I can now sleep on my side or back and have 4-5 migraines per month instead of 10-15. The specialist said because my migraines are most likely caused by an old whiplash injury, sumatriptan is best except for side effects - quite a few people get heart issues from sumatriptan. Ubrelvy has no generic, so it is a lot more expensive than sumatriptan. Thankfully, they have a zero-cost assistance plan which I've qualified for over the last 1 1/2 years."

"I was given a sample and then prescribed Ubrelvy. I was taking triptans but had side effects. Ubrelvy works within 2 hours for some relief and eliminates migraine symptoms within 3-4 hours. I do feel a little jittery and agitated/spacey after a few hours. I feel more tired, but pain and other symptoms are relieved. Have to drink a lot of water or feel “toxic” after and left side belly ache."

"15 years of migraines several days a week, over 2 dozen preventatives tried (no luck with any), and nothing got rid of the headache except triptans, which unfortunately began giving me extreme nausea 2 years ago. Started trying Ubrelvy 6 months ago, and found 75 mg works for me, with no nausea or any other side effects of any kind! They do take longer to start working than the triptans do. The only thing is the 100 mg pills are so huge, I have to cut them into 1/4 to choke them down. They still get stuck in the back of my throat occasionally. I tried Nurtec since its dissolving solved that issue, but unfortunately, that did not help my headaches at all. Back to Ubrelvy!"

"I do not get migraines often. But when I do, they leave me in bed all day. Was given a sample of this to try. 100 mg pill. I woke up with a horrible migraine. Took the sample about 30 mins after I woke up. Within an hour, I had extreme nausea, nausea like I have never experienced. It didn't stop there. I began to dry heave, I could feel my stomach just contracting over and over, to the point where eventually I started to throw up water like greenish... bile? The severe stomach contractions and vomiting went on for about 4 hours. I finally took some Promethazine and was able to sleep it off. But my stomach was still sore and uneasy for over 24 hrs after taking. I will NEVER take this medication again."

"Was so excited to try this after having OK results from triptans plus an NSAID. Price was only $10 for 10 - 50 mg pills through my insurance, which was even better. I get monthly menstrual migraines, so should last me almost a full year, right? Wrong! I loved this because it gave me literally no side effects and took a bit longer to get rid of the headache, but that was fine since I had no side effects. I am now, as of this month, on headache #3, which is extremely unusual because these DO NOT keep the migraine away! Every week, like clockwork, it would show back up again, and I am thinking to myself, what is going on?! Oh well, back to my good old triptans."

"I can’t take triptans, so my doctor is having me try Ubrelvy. I cut Ubrelvy in half to 50 mg on the two occasions I tried it. Then I proceeded to feel doped up and trying not to die for the rest of the evening and night. Horrible anxiety, persistent heart palpitations, weird vision changes. I’ve taken typical and atypical antipsychotics, and this Ubrelvy is worse. It’s like being behind a veil. Like you just feel off. IDK how to describe it. Like some weird hybrid of being high on cannabis/alcohol and mixing that with Benadryl, but not groggy, but also incapable of functioning. Just wrong. Then the next day I’m hungover from it. It also causes headaches in me, and I rarely, if ever, have headaches."

"I took Ubrelvy 50 mg for the first time today. My migraines have become very frequent, and I feel that Imitrex is only giving me a few hours of relief before the pain comes back and I need to take a new pill. My Dr. recommended trying Ubrelvy, saying that it will work better than the triptan and that I will have fewer side effects. I guess it is not for me. 1) didn’t get rid of the pain until after 8 hours, 2) made me nauseous, 3) made me very dizzy and sleepy, and when I sat on the sofa to rest, I started having terrible hallucinations. This happened to me when I took Percocet after a surgery a few years ago, and it was horrible. From that time on, I’ve never accepted a prescription for pain relievers, and I will never take Ubrelvy ever again."

"Tried Ubrelvy as directed by Dr. And within an hour of 1 tablet, my migraine was gone. I took it at the onset of the migraine when I start seeing an aura around lights. I have a migraine every day. I took a single dose of 50 mg, headache gone. The side effect that got me was dizzy and nauseous. I puked one time, but this is common for me during a migraine. This only lasted maybe 20 minutes, I immediately started feeling better. Side effect number 2, for some reason, it made me hyper, not in a bad way, just a lot of energy. Side effect number 3, insomnia. I took the tablet around 1 pm and I got up at 8 am, and I’m typing this review at 4 am and not even remotely tired. I would take the tablet again for the relief. I used samples provided by Dr. Not sure about the cost."

"Just start taking today; took the first 100 mg, didn't do anything for my terrible migraine; after three hours, took another 100 mg & head continued to hurt, if not worse. Ubrelvy is too expensive not to work at all. Shame, shame!"

"I have been living with migraines for almost 2 years. I’m 30 and never had an issue with headaches before. I was diagnosed with chronic daily migraines, and although my migraines aren’t as severe pain-wise, they are persistent. I have had months where I had a headache 3 weeks in a row nonstop. It has deteriorated my mental health. My neuro sent me Ubrelvy, and I had so much hope in them that I thought they were working because my pain level decreased the first day I took them. I’m on week 2 now, and I’m back to 0. Botox will be my next treatment attempt. Praying for all of you suffering from these horrific migraines. I know we all will find the right meds one day."

"I tried a 50 mg Ubrelvy for a migraine that had been building all day. Shortly after, I had pain in my temples and then complete relief. The next morning, I woke up with awful, awful head pain. It was throbbing, and I could hardly walk. I puked my guts out all day and couldn’t keep anything down. My usual arm weakness worsened. I still am not better three days later and am still taking Zofran to not puke. I will not attempt this drug again."

"I've been on Ubrelvy for about 6 months now, and it’s truly been a great experience. Nothing else has worked for me. I tried all triptans, supplements, etc., and Ubrelvy 100 mg finally worked. I can take it whenever and feel no side effects. Every medication that I was trying was giving me terrible side effects or just was not working. The one thing that I love about Ubrelvy is no side effects, and I don’t have to take it right when the migraine starts or before the migraine or any other stipulation. I know it’ll work whenever. If you’re reading through reviews and have tried a lot of things and are wondering if this is going to work, I would give it a shot. I was very nervous to try this, but I’m very grateful that I did."

"The first time I took 50 mg Ubrelvy, I noticed the pain went away fast without side effects. However, the pressure headache reoccurred after 3 days. Although the headache was tolerable, I was worried that if I don’t take care of it right away, it will be unmanageable again. I took Ubrelvy again, but the pain didn’t go away. Had to take ibuprofen after that, and this time it went away. After 2 days, the headache is back again."

"I was given four 50 mg samples of this medication. I had high hopes as I frequently need 2 Rizatriptan to stop my pain. I tried the Ubrelvy. 1 dose did nothing. The 2nd may even have made it worse. I felt like I had been hit in the head with something. I seriously contemplated going to the ER. The samples come with a lot of ridiculous swag, including a pouch for this pill intended to be stuck to the back of your cell phone. Ridiculous. All it did was make things worse."

"This medication has been really effective for me. I like that there are fewer side effects than other meds (like triptans). I usually only need to take one, and my migraine is gone once it’s metabolized, which usually takes about an hour or less depending on if and what I’ve eaten. Before, triptans would offer some relief initially, but then my migraine would come back the next day. This med knocks out my migraine completely, and I don’t have to take another one the next day, which is great for me. However, this med is ineffective for my mom. She was prescribed it for migraines since she has high blood pressure. It did not work for her. I would say this med is at least worth a try if you struggle with migraines. I’m glad I was able to find a med that’s more effective for me and has fewer side effects."

"My doctor gave me a sample of Ubrelvy as a treatment for when a migraine were to occur. On the plus side, I started feeling relief in about 90 mins. It was early evening, so I went to sleep. Woke up around 3:30 am, and I was no longer in pain, but I was sweating with the feeling of the room spinning. My mouth was very dry, and I was feeling nausea. After dry-heaving a bunch, I drank half a bottle of water. Vomited that up not long after. The plus side is the pill seemed to help with the headache, but were the side effects worth it? I’m on the fence about trying another dosage for future migraine."

"The doctor gave me a sample on day 2 of a migraine. I took the sample on day 3 when I returned home from doing errands as I did not know how it would affect me. Within an hour, I felt extremely lethargic, and my head felt heavy, but the pain was dulled. I went to lie down, but I could not fall asleep. After another hour, I got up, and my head felt better than it had in days. I continued on with my evening, but by bedtime, I was wired! I could not sleep even with sleeping pills! The next night's sleep was troubled, but my head remained pain-free. I will have to take another dose to see how it will affect me, but I would rather be tired than have a migraine."

"This is one of the only medications that actually work on me. It can take several hours to kick in, but it works, with minimal side effects. I do not do well with triptans, and I did an injectable which only worked for one month."

"I have had migraines since 1984. Had/done every scan, MRI, food journal, emotional journal, tried birth control pills, etc. You name it, I've tried it. First-gen Imitrex gave me chest pains so that class of drugs was out. Jump ahead to when Ubrelvy came out. What a game-changer! I'm very grateful for this new class of CGRP interrupters. I take a 100 mg tablet at the very onset of the migraine, and 98% of the time (within two hours), it takes care of it. Every now and then, I will have to take another dose, but that hasn't happened in a while. The only thing that could be considered a side effect that I personally have experienced is drowsiness. Not sure if it was truly caused by the meds or if it was the headache, though. Sign up with the drug maker to get a discount on your co-pay. If you have migraines and nothing else has worked for you, please try Ubrelvy. It has been a game-changer for me!"

"I could cry from relief to have a drug that stops a migraine. Heck, I have cried from relief for this very reason with Ubrelvy. I've had migraines since I was a tiny child. Other things I have tried could maybe dull the pain but never stopped it. I've taken my 4th of five pills now. The pain always recedes within 90 minutes. Side effects on a 50 mg dose are mild; I have a weak appetite and a hint of nausea for about 24 hours and have a little fatigue... But that's way better than a migraine. I had started on 100 mg, but the nausea at that dose was unbearable. Thankfully, the half dose works just as well without causing severe nausea."

"I got this med as another tool in my drawer for my now chronic migraines. Maxalt works fairly well for me, just thought I'd like to try the new CGRP methodology. OMG, this is awful. I swear it made my head worse. But sometimes Maxalt doesn't get it on the first try either, so I assumed I just needed another - took it 3 hours later and things got worse, now with nausea. I had to use pain meds to get it under control and my stomach was a wreck all day. I thought maybe this was just a coincidence of things, but after reading the other reviews, I think I'll just leave my $800 worth of meds in the drawer. It's awful."

"32-year-old male with daily migraines... Ubrelvy and most G-Pant drugs will stop the migraine, HOWEVER, they make your blood sugar go up and down. I found that my son with autism benefits MOST from taking 50 mg Ubrelvy in the morning with food, and 50 mg Ubrelvy with dinner at night to stop migraines. Be prepared to eat a small protein snack every 2 hours to stop the anxiety that naturally comes when your blood sugar is spiking and dropping. A half of a protein bar, 1-2 peanut butter crackers, or some nuts with a small glass of fruit juice every 2 hours for about 6 hours after a dose has my son feeling GREAT. YOU CAN have rebound headaches with any headache medicine if it is taken daily, so I try to also give him Nurtec some days and sumatriptan some days. BUT Ubrelvy has worked the BEST... IF you can control the blood sugar problems with this drug, you'll have LESS anxiety and LESS headaches. Blood sugar problems can also cause migraines, so be prepared to take protein snacks if you take these G-Pant medicines."

"Took 50 mg Ubrelvy tablet for the first time two nights ago. The drug took 2-3 hours to work, but it did dispatch my stubborn migraine (of several days’ duration). Side effects were noticeable the following day and night. They included extreme leg cramps (back of left thigh), nausea, stomach pain and stomach cramps, dry mouth, dehydration, excessive thirst, a horrible taste in my mouth, and olfactory distortions. Everything smelled like cigarettes. While I was relieved that this drug got rid of my migraine, I probably won't take it again. Triptans, Fioricet, Prednisone, and Aimovig have helped dislodge them with less onerous side effects."
