For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started Zepbound 2 days ago. Ate normally the day of the first injection (2.5mg/0.5ml)... boy, did I make a mistake. I ate 3 meals, my last around 6 PM. That night I felt like a rock was in my stomach, and you could hear the sloshing of water and food as I moved in bed. I started dry heaving and gagging in my sleep. Woke up Tuesday morning feeling sicker than I did when I had morning sickness from pregnancy... and my morning sickness was bad. Was sick all day. Ate nothing on Tuesday. Not a thing. All I could stomach was water and 7up to ease the nausea. Today is Wednesday, diarrhea started this morning and still nauseous, but not hungry. Just drinking my water and some 7up to help with nausea. I was told the nausea will subside after my body gets used to it. Hoping that's true. But honestly, if I have to deal with some nausea to lose the 70 lbs I would like to lose, I'll do it. Will update more once I've been on it for a while."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Just took my third shot. I am 60 years old, female, 5'7'', and weigh 295. I lost 5 pounds by the 2nd shot. Maybe that's not terribly impressive, but I don't want to lose quickly. Here's what I think is an absolute miracle with Zepbound: NO HEAD HUNGER! For the first time (probably in my life), I don't think about food. I don't crave junk food, I get full very quickly and can only eat small amounts. I had a gastric sleeve 6 years ago (at that time was 350 pounds) and it did a rotten job. It stretched out very quickly and never got rid of the obsessive food thoughts. This Zepbound is something else. I wonder if this is how thin people eat? lol I have had a bit of stomach upset once in a while, but for the most part, I am excited to start my higher dose next week. Even if I never lose what I want to, I am so grateful for this drug because I am eating all healthy foods. Nothing less than a miracle if you ask me!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started on Zepbound 2.5 back in Dec 2024. No major issues in the beginning. It definitely helps control your appetite, and you feel sick if you eat too much. After going to 5.0, I got a little more nauseated and started noticing more dizziness, lightheadedness, and fatigue. But I was losing the weight, so I just kept going. After going to 7.5, that's when my horror stories started. I have taken only two doses but am stopping this stuff altogether. It has truly caused me extreme dizziness, shortness of breath, fatigue, terrible stomach pains, and diarrhea that won't stop. I have lost 37 pounds... great... but the suffering and pain that comes with this medicine... no thanks. I'd rather be a little overweight and be happy than the constant nausea, stomach pain, and diarrhea. Best of luck to you all, but I'm going to accept me for me."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "This medication works beyond all my expectations!! I am a 40-year-old female and was at a starting weight of 226 when I began the 2.5 mg dose. Immediately, I noticed I could not finish more than a few bites of food, and the thought of chewing meat was repulsive. But for some reason, I could eat fish and fresh fruit. The mental food noise is gone. It's so nice to go grocery shopping and not look twice at foods that, in the past, I could easily binge eat. Now everything has side effects, so I will say they are manageable. My doctor gave me a script for Zofran for the nausea, and that helps tremendously. For constipation, I take Senna, and at times when it was really bad, I used a pediatric suppository (Pedia-Lax), peppermints for sulfur burps! Don't eat too much, this med delays stomach emptying, so eat slowly and in small portions. I only drink water and want water!! I have so much energy! I have lost 27 pounds in 6 weeks. I am on 7.5 mg and can't wait to reach my goal!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "No side effects whatsoever (except lack of hunger!). My stomach has not growled in months and I am satisfied with half the amount of food I used to eat. Love it! I hope insurance will cover this for the rest of my life. Thank you to the makers and doctors pushing to help others realize that obesity is not a choice, and we are not weak, lazy, stupid, etc. It is genetics and a medical condition."

"Follow Up: I am currently on day 11 of Zepbound 2.5 mg. As of this morning, I have lost 11.73 lbs. Daily, I documented how I felt and symptoms. The first 24 hours of injection #1, I had extreme fatigue, normal appetite, and a whole lot of belching. Day 2, belching, less hungry, no other symptoms. Day 3, I had no appetite, no other symptoms. Day 4, less than normal appetite, no other symptoms . Days 3 and 4 have just been repetitive. I have had no negative side effects, BUT I also have made sure to eat high-protein foods for every meal, even on the days I had no appetite, nothing greasy (thinking about it turns my stomach), no high-sugar foods. As of today, I’d say; if you work with the medication, the medication will work with you. Update you in a couple of weeks."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I just started Zepbound 2.5mg two days ago and OMG, I cannot eat ANYTHING! I keep having waves of nausea that feels like I have a stomach virus! OMG people TRY THIS MEDICATION! My insurance wouldn't cover it, so I paid $1292 cash for the month's supply. I have been overweight my entire life, but THIS METHOD IS THE EASIEST WAY TO LOSE WEIGHT! I did weigh myself (after only 2 days), and I lost 8 lbs so far. Next week I am only going to take a half dose (1.25mg) because the nausea has been really awful. I am an actual patient and just wanted to share my progress... THIS MEDICATION IS TRIED AND TRUE! Good luck!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "It works but side effects are too much for me. I started 2.5 injections and immediately felt nauseous and vomited every day. I never felt hungry or had the desire to eat. I could only eat a handful of grapes or a few bites of food, and it felt like it never digested. The constant taste of stomach acid/vomit in my mouth made me miserable. Food stayed in my stomach for over 24 hours, which was disgusting. It's like I could still taste it. The lack of any food made me feel exhausted. I missed 2 days of work. I lost 5-6 pounds in 1 week, but the side effects aren't worth it. I won't be continuing. That's a lot of money down the drain, $550 for a 1-week trial. If it weren't for the stomach not emptying and vomiting, I would keep taking it."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Was on Wegovy 2 months (PsA weight loss need) - horrible. Lost 18 pounds but got depression, which is odd for me as I have never had it. Once off it, about 3 weeks, I was fine. Decided to give ZepBound a try, a friend had great success with Monjouro (diabetic), when this came out, I was approved. Having a friend with experience really helped to get me through the first 3 weeks. They were rough. But I knew to stay away from meats for 5 days after shot and ANYTHING with fat or oil - it will not digest. 2 days after the shot are the hardest as far as digestion, eat very small, eat early or reflux will occur. My 'go to' is a cup of mac & cheese, half a bagel (plain) or berries (apples indigestible). No variety for me on this. Menthol cough drop a lifesaver - soothes my stomach. Sugars OK. Diarrhea from some foods, turned to some constipation after 2 months. Lost 27 pounds in 3 months, the fatigue is my worst side effect. Find your digestible foods, stick with them, exclusively."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "After so many people I knew were doing so well on these injections, I started Zepbound 6 weeks ago. I was fine for 24 hours, then the side effects kicked in. I don't recall ever feeling this sick. Sulfur burps, churning stomach, started vomiting and diarrhea for 3 full days. I was sick for days after the first shot. I had no hunger while so very sick. Week 2 and 3 had no problems and the food cravings were gone. I was prepared to be very successful on this medication. Week 4 sulfur burps came back again, 24 hours after my injection. The same reactions returned but less violent, I was sick for 24 hours. Maybe a fluke? Week 5 and 24 hours in, same sulfur burps started it again: diarrhea, stomach spasms, and vomiting. Nope, off the Zepbound. I would rather stay fat than make myself sick with every dose. I never got beyond 2.5. I know this has been wonderful for some people, it's just not for me."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started on Zepbound Sept 3rd, 2024. The sulfur burps started but subsided after a day or so. Each time I give the shot, I get a little of this. I’ve stayed at .05 mL because I have a bit of a sour stomach, so don’t want to have worse, and I like my slow weight loss (14 lbs) as of 11/30/24. I heard if one loses too fast, it results in saggy skin. I had a problem with the protein powder, so discontinued, but realize making sure to get enough protein is crucial. My positive effect I’d like to report is I’m no longer lactose intolerant! So exciting! I can eat whatever I want without fear of the usual aftereffects. I didn’t need to lose much weight, but my added concern is that I have sleep apnea (couldn’t tolerate C-PAP). I’ll report back when I make a recording to see if it’s been eliminated. I only live with dogs, and they refuse to tell me if I’m still snoring or not."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Ten days on Zepbound. Love this medication. The energy it gives you is amazing. 1st day injection in thigh developed bruise and slight nausea and headache. But no biggie. 2nd shot belly super easy. Takes away urge to eat. No more stomach grumbling when hungry either. I have a protein shake in the morning, mid-morning protein bar, little bites throughout the morning. Small lunch and salmon or chicken for dinner. Veggies and fruit are important. No issue with bathroom. I take a fiber gummy and multivitamin daily. Treadmill and gym. After showering, I've been using lots of lotion on skin, massaging in. You'll be fine. Smart choices in foods. Yogurt gave me nausea as did tuna with mayonnaise. 6 lbs so far."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've been on this medication for 6 weeks and have never felt better about my body or my day. I didn't realize I could have a day where I wasn't thinking about food from the minute I got up until I fell asleep at night. I feel free to think about other things and to not be distracted by trying to have willpower to not eat. It's a huge relief. Is this what thin people feel like? People who have never struggled with being overweight? I have always thought my weight was based on my genetics, and maybe it is-but it's also my brain that literally is addicted to food. It feels like I've been released from an addiction. I haven't noticed any side effects. I tried Ozempic before this and was very constipated and had stomach issues. I don't feel that way at all on Zepbound, my stomach is fine. I'm on 2.5, it's very easy to administer, and I feel like it really works. I hope I'm able to take it for a long time, I'm sort of afraid to go back to the brain I had before taking it."

For Obstructive Sleep Apnea/Hypopnea Syndrome "I started Zepbound in September 2024 to treat severe sleep apnea as diagnosed through sleep studies. I have been on the drug for 8 months and lost 35 pounds, reaching a normal weight range, and my sleep apnea is about 90-95% improved. I had mild stomach discomfort in the first month or two, but nothing very concerning. I also had some itching at the injection sites periodically over the first few months. I currently have no side effects whatsoever. I gradually ramped up from the 2.5 mg/0.5 mg dose to 5.0 mg/ml to 7.5 mg/ml, which is my final dose. This medicine was an absolute game changer. Can't emphasize how much this has improved my quality of life. I had struggled with sleep apnea and using a CPAP for about 10 years, with little success before trying this. It is important to be monitored by a doctor throughout treatment, including bloodwork, including lipase to monitor for pancreatitis."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "It definitely curbs your appetite, however, it destroyed my stomach. After 5 weeks, I couldn’t tolerate it anymore. I’m disappointed that my stomach and vomiting were so severe that it was not worth the risk. In a 3-week period, I had to go to the emergency room twice. I hope others have a better experience than I did."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started on Zepbound on May 24. To date, I lost 36 pounds. I have 10 more to go, but I am going to have to stop taking it. Right from the first shot I took, I had right eye pain on and off. Now with the higher doses of 10, 12.5, and 15 mg, it is happening more, and I also break out in a rash/hives at the injection site, starting with dose 10 mg. I tried Benadryl 30 minutes before the shot and icing that site for 10 minutes after the injection, but that does not help. That area will itch for 3 days and leave a red mark on my skin. I used to be on Wegovy and never had that issue, but did have more stomach/diarrhea with Wegovy. Zepbound is the better one, but unfortunately, I can't take it."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have lost over 35 lbs in 5 months. I started at the 2.5 and have worked up to the 10. Zepbound is incredibly effective at assisting with the weight loss. Greasy fatty foods definitely upset my stomach now. The first day post-shot, I am super tired and have a very mildly upset stomach, after that, it’s fine. I am freezing all the time, so for sure take a jacket wherever you go! I am not starving and do not have cravings at all. Staying hydrated seems to help with curbing the initial side effects. Initially, I found myself hardly eating just because I wasn’t hungry. I had to make a concerted effort to make myself sit down and eat. Protein and veggies made me feel a ton better and didn’t result in any digestive discomfort. It really was a trial and error. Alcohol is not your friend, even 1 or 2 drinks makes me feel awful. I ended up naturally having a cleaner diet and drinking a lot more water just to minimize the digestive side effects."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am 64, 5’2” tall and weighed 210 when I started Zepbound with 2.5 mg on January 15, 2024. I had no side effects with 2.5 and lost 12 pounds the first month. I went up to 5.0 ml and still no side effects but lost only 5 pounds that month. Went up to 7.5 and started having mild nausea, diarrhea, and indigestion. Lost another 10 pounds that month. I'm on week 2 of 10 ml. Side effects are much worse. I've lost a total of 35 pounds but in week two my stomach physically hurts, nausea is much worse and so is diarrhea. I think I will not be able to complete the next two doses on 10 ml so looking to drop down to 5.0 for maintenance and hopefully continued weight loss."

I have felt a little stomach pain if I eat too late in the day (too close to bedtime) or if I eat a high-fat meal (pizza or burgers). I have lost 14 lbs so far (started at 230 lbs). For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started with the initial 2.5 mg injections and experienced queasiness, and though my appetite remained, I got a sick feeling less than halfway through the meal. After 4 weeks, even though I was eating very little, my weight only dropped a few pounds. Then I advanced to 5 mg and my stomach was gassy and totally upset, I ate Tums constantly to control the acid indigestion. The worst part was to come, for one solid week, I was a total insomniac. I mean no sleep. This lasted a little over a week. I stopped with the injections after the first 5 mg one. It is now a month later and most of the symptoms are gone."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "So far it’s working well. I’ve been on it for 5 weeks and lost about 25 lbs. I started at the 2.5 for the first four weeks, then this week was 5.0. I haven’t had many side effects, just really making sure I’m eating a lot of fiber. Staying away from as much refined sugar as possible, very little bread, no soda, low-fat milk, and not much. Basically meat, vegetables, and fruits. It really does curb appetite, and be careful not to eat too much or too fast, you can feel your stomach has slowed, it’s kind of crazy. A couple of times I had some gas pains but not bad and a slight aching feeling. Those are the only symptoms I have experienced. I think so far it’s worth it. I feel so much better and really have more energy! I needed something to help me get started, and seeing and feeling the difference has encouraged me to keep going and make life changes for the future. My plan is to lose more weight and change my lifelong habits. I really recommend it to anyone who needs a jump start, it really helps."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I'm 41, 6'2", 370.2 lbs. I started Zepbound on Dec. 1, 2024. The first couple of weeks, I had pain in my upper back, not overwhelming but constant for a couple of days. This really did take away my hungriness to eat, but did not limit what I could eat. So I got full quickly, even off the smallest amount of food filled me for the whole day. In doing this, I wanted to eat quick little things like snacks, then cause making a big meal was pointless. I had to rethink what I ate and form better habits. Now, don’t get me wrong, I still have a piece of candy or a few chips here and there but much better portion sizes. I haven't got all the stomach pains I've heard about or food rumbles. Bathroom issues are minimal. I figured since I'm taking in so much less, that much less will come out. It is now Jan. 2, 2025, and I have lost 23 lbs. This is with no extra exercise or anything more than the shot and listening to my body when it tells me I'm full. If I'm not hungry, I don't eat. So far, this is going great."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Six years ago (at age 45) I was diagnosed with peri-menopause and insulin resistance. I put on about 30 lbs and seemed powerless to stop it or lose it! I’m 5’10 so can carry more weight better than most, but still my BMI was high and I just felt unwell. My GYN had me try several things like Ozempic, Metformin and hormone patches. The hormone patches helped tremendously with peri-menopause symptoms, but the weight was still there. Thank God for Zepbound!! My PCP started me on it and I was cautiously optimistic. In 8 weeks I lost 10 lbs. First month (2.5 mg) I lost 3 lbs. My PCP said sometimes it takes your body time to catch on so be patient, and we started me on 5 mg. End of the second month I lost another 7 lbs! That is huge for me! Best part…I no longer think about sugar and sweets. I didn’t realize how addicted to sugar I was! Food noise is gone. Con: stomach side effects started at 5 mg and continue; hypoglycemia."
