For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am a 48-year-old female and have been on this for 6 weeks. I am down 9.2 lbs and haven't had a lot of side effects. With the dose increase to 5 mg, I noticed intermittent nausea, but nothing that prevents me from daily tasks or from taking the next shot. I am rarely hungry and get full very quickly. The shot doesn't really hurt, but I do bruise at the site. Weight loss isn't super fast, which is good because I don't want to have a lot of loose skin."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I love Zepbound as it is the only thing that has helped me lose weight easily. After reading the reviews on here, my approach has been somewhat different as I refused to give up any foods or alcohol as that isn't real life for me. I walk 4 miles a day but haven't done real cardio or weight lifting very often so that is next. I have been on it for 13 months and started at 190 and am at 152, which is less than my high school weight/5'6'' and was a college athlete, so a very muscular type build. I am ecstatic at this weight but scared to go off Zepbound as I can control my food addictions with it and don't eat 2000 calories at midnight anymore. I get full very quickly so I am eating way less than my old norm of 4000 calories a day. :-) I am at 12.5 mg and the side effects I have had are mostly fatigue and my hair breaking off. At first, I had nausea and injection site swelling, but that went away after the first month."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Zepbound for 16 weeks. I have lost 23 lb. I am a 6'3" 74-year-old man. I wanted a kick start to get to my goal, which I am at. Except for three weeks at 5 mg, I have been on 2.5 and am now after a brief go at 5 mg. My experience has been generally acceptable, but nausea and fatigue are a real challenge. No vomiting or diarrhea. I have had some acid reflux. The key has been to eat good clean food and stay away from fried or greasy. I have reduced my alcohol intake, but they are empty calories, and why do it? It just makes it tougher. The reason I drink some is usually social, but I have found it easier to abstain than I expected. Here's the deal: I think people lose weight on these drugs because they don't want to get sick and choose to behave and stay at a calorie deficit, and bingo, the math kicks in. It's not rocket science. I have taken a week off while on an overseas trip. Again, I didn't want to get sick. I am about to take another week off."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I began my weight loss journey in late January 2024. Over the next 12 months, I lost 40 pounds. However, I've hit a plateau for the past four months, since the end of November 2024, and it's now February 25, 2025. I still need to lose at least another 40 pounds. Zepbound has been a significant help in my journey. My clothes fit much better, and I've gone from a size XXL to a medium. In addition to Zepbound, I also strength train, maintain a healthy diet, and track my calorie intake. The only side effects I've experienced with Zepbound are occasional acid reflux, mild nausea, and some constipation. Currently, I am on 12.5 mg, but my doctor has decided to update my dosage to the 15 mg to see how I do on that dosage. Hopefully, it will kick me over the plateau and I will end up losing the next 40 pounds that I need to. Other than that, I love Zepbound. I think it’s great."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been taking this medication now approaching the 6-month marker, and it has been wonderful for weight loss in my experience so far! I did my starter 2.5 mg dose for the first month and then went to the 5 mg and stayed there for 4 months before deciding to go up to the 7.5 mg, which is what I am currently on. I have definitely experienced some of the side effects, but they are pretty mild and typically only happen the day after taking my weekly shot, and then it gets better except for 1. I am always very nauseous the day after the shot when changing doses, but once I've been on a dose for a couple weeks, the nausea lessens quite a bit. But something that just randomly started happening about halfway into all of this, I started having major skin irritation with the injection spot, which freaked me out only because I had been taking it for months before it started happening just out of nowhere, and it wasn't when I changed a dose or done anything differently, and it's continued to happen every time!"

However, I stopped working, so I switched to trizepitide 2.5 this week. Absolutely no side effects. I've already lost a pound. Once I get below 140, I'm going to go to only 2 shots a month for maintenance. I'm doing this through a clinic. I can't say enough how great I feel. I've done every diet in the book. It's the best gift you'll give yourself ever. I pay $300 for 4 shots."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started taking this in March 2024. I've had some weight loss (about 30 pounds), but not as much as I anticipated. I occasionally experience nausea and stomach pain, but it's usually after a very fatty meal (avoiding those types of foods minimizes this symptom for me). When I reached the 10 ml dose, I began having an itchy, raised red area surrounding the injection site that dissipates by the end of the week. I had one shot that didn't dispense the needle until I held it up to inspect it. I am happy I started this medication because I did lose weight (and hopefully will continue to) and was able to stop taking metformin! The worst thing about taking this medication is trying to get the prescription filled. I have had more issues trying to get my refills for Zepbound than any prescriptions for opioid pain medication (which I have taken in the past post-surgery due to an allergy to acetaminophen). At first, it was supply issues. Now it's preauths and difficulty staying at a certain dose."

I’m losing it slow, and that’s how I’m doing it. The nausea sucked, but I got Zofran for it. I include exercise and water and eating a balanced diet. I use monk fruit for sugar because I’m a huge sugar girl. It’s been an amazing journey so far. I plan to stay on 2.5 because I don’t want to lose it too fast. I don’t have far to go! Side effects have been constipation, which was remedied with OTC collagen and senna. Occasional nausea, especially in the beginning of tx. During my first month on Zepbound 2.5 mg, I experienced fatigue, dry mouth, and slight constipation. I'm on my second month dosage of 5 mg now, and I'm experiencing nausea and migraines. This is my sixth injection, and the weight fell off during the first month, and now I'm at a standstill. I'm weighing in at 195 for the last 2 weeks. During my first month, I had no carbs at all. I made sure I had at least 120 g of protein a day, and I weight trained four times a week, getting my goal of 10,000 steps a day. I haven't kept that same training routine these past two weeks, which is why I probably haven't lost any weight. I'd say the medicine really works. I'm not looking to stay on long-term. For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started in January 2025 with the 2.5 dose. For the first two weeks, I experienced nausea and diarrhea off and on. For the last two weeks, I was fine. I am on my second week of 5 mg. The first week, I was so sick - I take the shot late Friday afternoon - I was in bed most of the day on Saturday with nausea and fatigue. I did vomit once. Sunday was the same. The rest of the week, I felt fine. Second shot last Friday - I was okay on Saturday - able to function but very nauseous. Woke up on Sunday and spent most of the day in bed due to nausea and fatigue. The anti-nausea medicine helps but not so much for me. Today I am functioning with some nausea. The benefits of this drug are obvious. I don't eat as much as I did before the medicine. I've lost 16 lbs so far. The nausea bothers me. I should be able to function and not get sick every weekend after a shot. I no longer have diarrhea - I am constipated instead. When I take Miralax, I cannot think about it or I get sick."

Your appetite decreases, but you can and will have GI side effects: constipation, gas, abdominal pain with overeating, belching, and nausea. I have had occasional waves of nausea, but not so bad that it made me want to quit. My sleep has been disrupted some nights when I can’t go back to sleep after waking up. I’m currently up to 7.5 mg. And I’ve started taking the shots every 10 days instead of 7 days so I can gradually wean myself off of it. For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am 58 years old and in menopause, and I have been on Zepbound for about 3 months now. I know that a lot of people say that they have had a lot of side effects. My experience has been great! I am still on the lowest dosage and have lost 24 lbs. I have been on cloud 9 because I am losing the weight, and with no side effects at all. I only had a very light tummy ache 2 times along with nausea the first week, but it was not bad at all. It was very, very slight and only lasted about 5 minutes each time. Since then, I have not had any side effects at all. I would say yes, that I do recommend Zepbound, but it is not for everyone. You can at least try it and give it about 2 weeks and see how it works for you. I say 2 weeks because it was my second week that I had absolutely no side effects. I honestly don't even want to admit the minor side effects that I had the first week because it was so minor. You never know, you might like it and love it! I would at least give it a try."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started taking Zepbound five weeks ago. I started with 2.5. My first couple of weeks were fine, but by my third week after that shot, I could not eat for 3 days. I tried even sipping on water and couldn't because of the nausea. My throat kind of burnt all the way down to my stomach, it felt like someone was squeezing the top of my throat. I just took my first shot of the 5.0 3 days ago, and I still haven't been able to eat because I'm so nauseous, and again my stomach's hurting. I tried yesterday to take some Rolaids, but that made me throw up. I haven't told my doctor, and I'm still going to continue taking it, but if this keeps up, it's not worth it. But I will continue to try maybe one or two more weeks, but if it just keeps up and is this miserable, I'm going to stop taking it. Hopefully, no one else has this feeling. But I didn't lose 19 lb in one month. I hope everyone does better on it than I am."
