"I've been on this for 6 weeks. It has cut me back from eating so much and I've lost 22 lbs. I feel better. I'm able to walk up a flight of stairs now without being out of breath. I've had no side effects as of yet. I'm pretty pleased so far. So, as far as medical condition, I'm sure my Dr. will be doing blood work up the next time I'm there which is coming up."

"I have type 2 diabetes and have been taking Mounjaro for 8 weeks. I have just started the 7.5mg dosage. My doctor started me with 2.5mg for 4 weeks, and then 5mg for 4 weeks. I have lost 25 pounds and am no longer taking oral diabetic medication. The only side effect I have is a headache. It is very easy to use, and there is no pain with the injection. I inject it into my stomach."

"I have only lost 5 pounds in 2 months. It has severely decreased my appetite, and occasionally caused nausea and stomach pain. I expected to lose more and more quickly than I have. Could not tolerate the severe nausea from ozempic so I switched to Mounjaro."

"Had to stop taking Rybelsus (Semaglutide) due to strong abdominal pain. Was able to better handle Mounjaro. Side effects during the first week of treatment with 2.5mg: constipation since I simply was not thirsty at all and forgot to drink fluids. I then kept a timer to remind myself to drink, dizziness due to hypoglycemia, and possible interactions with medications like Vyvanse (Lisdexamphetamine). The absorption of this drug seems delayed, and thus its effectiveness is weaker. It helped with weight loss during the first week, and there was stabilization/no change in weight during week 2 and 3."

"Mounjaro has assisted me, along with diet and exercise, to lose 35 pounds. The first three months were tough. I experienced all the side effects of nausea, fatigue, sulfur burps, and vomiting usually on day two after the injection. Then, it went away. What also went away from the beginning was the food noise. I wasn't hungry, and I was satisfied with smaller portions. My weight loss has typically been 1-3 pounds per week. With the weight loss, I have more energy and motivation to keep making healthy choices. I feel great, and the injection is easy. It's only once a week, but it's so easy, a slight sting, if that. Mounjaro is a true miracle."

"Mounjaro works well. I have lost 48 lbs on the medication. It feels great to be able to do the things I couldn’t do before weight loss. The health benefits are normal liver function and controlled blood pressure."

"I've been on this drug for 8 weeks. The weight loss has been steady, and I feel in control of my appetite for once in my life. I'm sticking with 5 mg. On the downside, I have severe constipation, so I take laxatives every day. I have severe fatigue, which has not changed since I started. I also have lost my sex drive and ability to orgasm. I'm staying on it until I've lost another 20 lbs, so I'm okay with these side effects for now."

"I have lost an average of 1.7 lbs a week since I started 14 weeks ago—or 25 lbs. The day or two after I go up a dose, I just drink juice because my stomach is upset. I might take an ondansetron. I have thrown up a few times but mostly it's just like indigestion and gag reflex more than a more intense sort of throwing up. It's hard—I'm not going to lie. I just stay in bed and eat pudding. I don't have energy to do anything. But I'm going to get through it. Only a few more months."

"I'm in a paid clinical trial for weight loss, so I'm not paying for the drug which is the ONLY way I could afford it is to be given it for free and paid for my travel to the clinic. So far I've developed the side effects of constipation, getting worse with each increasing dose. I'm up to the 10mg, I think, and they say that's the top dose they're 'testing'. I can't generate enough energy to exercise, so there's that. I've gone down from 180lb in June to 157 now (almost October), so that's good. I've been 'clinically obese' for 30 years now, along with hypertensive, which caused my first stroke back in 2018. I hope this keeps up for the duration of the paid trial. I need the weight loss just as much as I need the money. But for the constipation, it gets pretty bad. I've had to resort to taking generic 'Dulcolax' at times."

"I have been on the medication for five weeks, started on 2.5 mg and just increased yesterday to 5mg. Typical side effects include hardly eating because of no appetite, but I am not losing weight at all. I lost 2 lbs in five weeks. Started at 200 lbs and in five weeks only lost 2 lbs. Any advice please?"

"I am on the second week and just did a second dose of 2.5 mg. I felt really full the first 2 - 3 days, and then the rest of the week I didn't feel "full" and I wasn't hungry. I add movement to my lifestyle. I walked three times a week, and haven't really changed my eating habits, except I only eat once a day, protein and vegetable. I make a large pitcher of fresh lemonade and use stevia. I feel great. Started at 164 lbs and this morning I am 155 lbs. My goal is 133 lbs and my BMI is under 30 - today 35.8. I'm 77 and 5'3''."

"In 2023, I became concerned when I gained weight leading to me being 202 pounds. After my first Mounjaro shot, I felt appetite suppression immediately. 2 days later I made the mistake of eating greasy, cheesy pizza leading to nausea and I threw it up. Try to eat nutritious and less fried food on it. Also, I experienced severe cramps and diarrhea. It was just my first week though and I was notified that nausea and gastrointestinal intestinal are common for the first 1-2 weeks. It definitely gets better as your body gets used to it. As I have taken long gaps of 10-14 days in between doses, mild gastrointestinal problems still occur, but it’s definitely more manageable than before. Overall, I am very satisfied with this medication. I am much more in control of eating and don’t binge. I also lost 12 pounds in 5 weeks!"

"I have lost an incredible 30 lbs since I first started taking Mounjaro in September. You have to watch yourself how to eat again, because you won't feel hungry as you normally would. And make sure you exercise, or you'll rapidly begin to gain the weight back. When I first started my weight loss journey, I was 311 lbs. I had to start walking my dog more because we had to live in a hotel due to a sewer leak in our basement. Long story. Anyway, I lost about 30 lbs just by walking and cutting back on what I ate. Then, sadly, I gained some back because I started a new job. It is work from home and very stressful to me. I hate customer service, but seem to be pigeonholed into it. I'm in tech support and hope to become a Cybersec expert. Anyway, I was at 285 again when I decided to start Mounjaro and I am now at 256. I'm 38 years old, so I gain weight pretty easily."

"2.5mg/wk for 8 months, went from 234lb to 170. Had stomach cramps at first that worsened with higher dose. The lower dose worked well enough. Have been off of it for 2 months with little change to established weight and eating habits so far no weight gain."

"Today marks my fourth dose of Mounjaro 2.5mg. I haven't weighed myself, to be honest, but I feel lighter. The only side effect is extreme cluster headache, I get this awful headache next to my right eye for 3-4 days straight after taking the shot. I don't eat as much as I used to before now I literally eat half of the portions. I don't know if I should continue using this, It's expensive but not sure if it is worth the money."

"Since June this year, I have lost 63 pounds. I have tried every diet under the sun. I even had a gastric bypass in 2011. So far, this is great! The side effects I get are feeling swollen at times. Then there are other times I feel sick to my stomach."

"I began the 2.5 dose and worked my way up to 7.5. I have lost 40+ pounds. The main side effect I have is insomnia. However, I would caution anyone who quits taking this medication for more than a few weeks to start back at a lower dose. My insurance decided not to pay for 2 months. When they did pay, I took my regular dose and it kicked my butt. My stomach hurt and I could not work because I could not think clearly and I have a very technical job. Other than that lesson learned, it has been great! I’ve never been able to lose weight but I am now. I have so much more energy that I never want to go to bed."

"My doctor started me out on the lowest dose. I will see him in a couple of weeks and I will be asking for the next higher dose. The lowest dose seems to work the best just for a few days. In those few days, Mounjaro worked well. I just wish it lasted longer. I had no side effects, and it's easy to use."

"30 y/o woman 5ft9 and ballooned to close to 390 lbs. A low dose of Mounjaro (5mg) was added with metformin to help treat my PCOS and help with weight loss and I am officially loosing 2-4 pounds per week. Minor side effects can happen the first 1-2 week when increasing the dose but they where minor. This has been the only thing that has allowed me to lose the weight. When I was unable to get the medi8cation for 4 months I was able to keep it off as well. Using this shot with life style changes can really make all the difference for those who's weight gain is more than just to many calories and has other effects. I've also seen a dramatic improvement in pain related to Fibromyalgia and endometriosis"

"I used Mounjaro 2.4 for three months. I lost 25 pounds during this time. It curbed my appetite so that after eating a small portion of food I was no longer hungry and did not want any more to eat. I ate all kinds of food that I liked including pastries. Again I was satisfied with 1/2 the volume. It was the easiest way to lose weight. The only side effect I had was occasional heartburn. I did increase the dosage a couple of months later but did not like the effects. I felt like I couldn’t eat any amount without getting an upset feeling. Because I didn’t eat, my energy level went down considerably. I only tried this for 2 weeks and decided it was too strong for me."

"I started 2.5 mg of mounjaro 5 days ago and have already lost 5 pounds. It makes me super thirty so I'm downing the water, which is a plus. I am not hungry at all and have to force myself to eat throughout the day. I am pre-diabetic with a fatty liver so it's super important that I get my weight down for my health and happiness. I'm a 62 year old woman, 5'11 204 starting weight. As far as side effects I'm not feeling any except I'm thirsty and don't have much energy. I know I'll feel better when I get down in size. I'm super excited about being thin again. I don't want anyone to see me at this weight, this weight gain has affected my life in so many ways. Fingers crossed it keeps working."
