"In about 2 months, I lost 18 pounds on Mounjaro 7.5. The only side effect I had was constipation, which was easily relieved by MiraLax and some extra water. It was so easy to use. I am happy with the results! The downside is the killer-high price."

"Very happy with this experience. Finally, something that works for me personally. I have not experienced any side effects with this medication. I am losing weight, which is the reason for me taking this medication. In two months, I have lost a total of 17 pounds. I do have a lot more to go, but I am hopeful I will be able to reach my goal. Started at 2.5 the first month, 2nd month 5. Mid-Jan, I will begin the 3rd month. I am 75 years young. Thanks, MJ!"

"I'm a 67-year-old female and weighed 365 lbs when I began Mounjaro. In just under a year, I've lost 85 lbs. I'm now on the 10 mg dose. I only wish Medicare covered it because I don't know how much longer I can afford the $1,036 a month I pay out of pocket. The good news is that I now qualify for knee replacement surgery. I have struggled with obesity my whole life, and Mounjaro has been a godsend for me."

"I have been on Mounjaro for a year, and I have lost 20% of my body weight, and now I am nearing my target weight using 12.5 mg. I am a 60-year-old male, and I had developed metabolic syndrome as well as knee problems. My blood pressure is now normal, triglycerides are normal, and my joints don’t ache. I did not experience any notable side effects on Mounjaro."

"I have used Ozempic, Saxenda, and Wegovy and changed due to shortages, nausea, or not getting results. Been on Mounjaro for 1 month at 2.5. I have lost 2.8 kilos. No nausea and no desire to eat or pig out. My IBS/bloating has significantly reduced too. However, I eat small, healthy meals of protein, salads, and some fruit. I am very conscious of eating nutritious food and drinking lots of water. Mounjaro is expensive (in Australia), but it so far is the best product for me."

"Moved from 2 mg to 5 mg. Three days later, I'm running to the bathroom, dark liquid, 10 times to the bathroom. Three hours later, it started easing up. Didn't eat for 5 hours so far, 7 Up and a few crackers. Start week Mon, 11 am, took shot 5 mg. It's Wednesday, and now it started."

"I'm a white male, 51. In October 2023, I weighed 312 pounds and was pre-diabetic. My doctor prescribed 2.5 Mounjaro. I've been taking it since then. As of July 25, I've dropped 74 pounds, or about 24% of my starting weight. I have not noticed any impactful side effects. Exercise changes: • yoga 3x per week • 2.6-mile walk 4x per week • 30 minutes elliptical 3x per week. Diet changes: • no sugary drinks - no Coke, no Starbucks • no candy or other junk food • more nuts, proteins, salads • no food after 8 pm. I feel great!"

"I’m a 68-year-old female and have lost 50 lbs from January to June 2025. Started with 5 mg injections and now am getting 15 mg injections once per week. Minimal side effects unless I eat too much or eat unhealthy foods - and then I will have nausea and/or diarrhea. The biggest benefit has been that my blood pressure went from approximately 140/90 or so to a very consistent 110/60 or slightly above that, but hasn’t been anywhere near 140/90 since a couple of weeks after I began the injections. The cost has been a bit prohibitive, and I’m hoping that I’ll be able to transition off after I reach my goal weight loss of 75 lbs (without too much weight gain) OR that there will be a generic available and covered by Medicare. I can also breathe much better after climbing stairs and feel so much healthier and am able to play with my grandkids much more! Thanks so much!"

"52 years old, 5 ft 6 inches, female, gave birth naturally to 6 children, all now adults. Started in October 2024 at 91.4 kgs, waist at 104 cm, wearing size 14-16 clothes (Australian sizes). I read all the reviews (about 500) before I started and chose to mitigate adverse reactions: (ONLY Bioceuticals brands) I took powdered magnesium 3 times a week for muscle health, daily live probiotics for gut health, daily prebiome fiber in smooth and creamy Greek yogurt with berries and prunes for bowel health. Drank lots of water and ate smaller portions for dinner at about 5 pm. I don’t have time for exercise (although I had just done a whole year of 3 x personal training a week prior to starting MJO - only losing 4 kgs!). Fast forward to June 2025, I currently weigh… drum roll… 68 kgs! My waist is now 79 cms, my upper arms have lost 6 cms, hips lost 14 cms. I am wearing size 10-12 and cannot be happier! Only occasionally did I get dizzy or constipated."

"I started the Mounjaro in September 2024. I lost 4 stone in 16 weeks. I had a break and started back on it in April 2025. In May 2025, I went to the GP with insomnia, and they did blood tests. I have found I have hyperthyroidism. I suffer from insomnia, rapid heart rate, palpitations, trembling hands, and muscle twitching. I am awaiting a scan on my thyroid and also other investigations. I am under an endocrinologist but have my appointment for October 2026."

"I started taking Mounjaro for weight loss and also for type 2 diabetes. I started taking it in February 2024. I have lost 124 lbs total. It has been a lifesaver, but I have been experiencing a lot of side effects lately. I am not sure if it is due to the medicine or something else. I have been sick also, so it could be that. I cannot walk without severe exhaustion and vomiting sometimes. I have trouble breathing most of the time. Even though I have lost all of this weight and I am the smallest I have ever been, I feel sicker than I ever have been. I just wonder if anyone else feels like this? I don't know why I feel so bad."

"I am currently on day 2 taking Mounjaro injection 2.5. I have definitely lost all cravings to graze on food throughout the day, as a chef, this is great and very positive. I have no side effects so far apart from feeling thirsty and drink plenty of water."

"Works well. The appetite suppression and quieting of “food noise” has been very effective. Unfortunately, I just saw my recent labs and discovered that my triglycerides are well over 500! This is very alarming since I do not consume large amounts of butter, fat, etc. Now I’m worried that I may have/get pancreatitis."

"I was able to take this for 3 months and lost 25 lbs, the best thing to help me lose weight effectively. I am really disappointed that my insurance stopped covering it as it was actually working. I was lucky as I did not have any side effects."

"I’ve been on Mounjaro for 12 weeks and along with a careful diet and more activity, have lost 34 pounds. My A1C is down 1 point and my high blood pressure has improved dramatically. My arthritis symptoms have also decreased substantially. The only adverse effect is constipation but I deal with that on an ongoing basis and is a small price for the immense good this medication has done. It has changed my life and I wish I could have started it a few years ago."

"I'm on my 6th dose as of today. I started 12/30/2023 at 2.5mg for 2 weeks and then increased to 5mg on 1/13/2024. I have lost 12 lbs so far. Prior to starting this medication, I was unable to lose weight no matter what I tried. I even resorted to almost starving myself, but my weight kept increasing. It was a defeating experience. In my 40s, I was always slim, but in my 60s, my weight became a problem. I was diagnosed with Metabolic Syndrome and was at risk of developing Pre-Diabetes. As I continue with the medication, I am learning about what foods I can and cannot eat due to the side effects. These side effects include feeling nauseous or having trouble with bowel movements. I have found that lean meat, vegetables, and whole fruits work well for me. I focus on consuming whole foods and avoid processed foods and sugar. I have also discovered that bananas help with my stomach issues. During weeks 2-4, I experienced instant headaches and occasional nausea. I have adjusted my eating schedule and now ensure that I eat early in the evening, with no food consumption after 6-7pm, except for fluids. Additionally, I have started taking Magnesium Gummies and occasionally having a piece of sugar-free hard candy to help with bowel movements and to combat any unpleasant aftertaste from certain foods sitting in my stomach."

"I used Mounjaro solely for weight loss. I did really well on it, although I am not diabetic. I did have a diagnosis of PreDM. I was able to get my A1c down to a normal number, and I lost around 50 lbs. I have not used the medication for close to two years now. I have been noticing A1c numbers creeping up, my weight as well."

"I have had great success, I have gone from 332 in the doctor's office to 259 naked at home. The last month has slowed considerably, only losing 5 pounds. I would like to lose another 30. My only concern is this last weekend I experienced an Afib episode, I had never had this before. Is there a connection between Mounjaro and Afib?"

"I'm very new to this drug. It's only my 2nd week using it. I'm a 47-year-old very active woman. I don't have loads of weight to shift, probably around 2 and a half stone. Over the last 4 years, I've lost around 4 stone on my own and kept it off, but I can't seem to lose the remaining, so I thought I would give it a go. I read hundreds of reviews about the drug, so I was aware of all of the side effects and prepared for them as part of the course. I'm now 10 days into it, and I haven't had 1 side effect. I don't know if I'm just one of the lucky ones, but I'm not complaining. I started on a Wednesday morning weighing in at 13st 9lbs. By the following Wednesday, I was 13st 5lbs. It's now 5 days on from that, and I'm down to 13st 2lbs. I'm honestly shocked by the results. I have no regrets from using it and look forward to the end results."

"Within 30 days, I lost 19 pounds and my appetite is satisfied with an extremely small amount of food. Sugary food is NOT a good idea because it will give you diarrhea. Headache and fatigue when I went from 2.5 to 5. My doctor, the best ever, said she is going to keep me on 5 because she doesn’t think I’ll need the 7.5. Fatigue is only two days after taking injection. I’m sure my A1C will be lowered as I am pre-diabetic. I went from 222.8 to 203.3. I’m Afro and Native American (mix) and I’m thankful to the Lord for this medicine. I expect to be 175 by March which is my goal."

"I highly recommend this drug. I have lost about 30 pounds in about 15 weeks. I had trouble losing weight my entire life, but this drug has been amazing. I don't lose weight as fast as I thought I would, given the media hype, but am very satisfied at 2 lbs/week without trying that hard. You just don't eat as much without even thinking about it. Even in weeks where I thought I ate too much, I lost a pound, so go for it. I have no side effects yet, but I am just beginning the 10 mg dose next week. My doctor has been step staring me from 2.5 to 5 to 7.5 every month. Cholesterol, blood pressure, and blood sugar/A1C are all down noticeably."

"2.5 mg/wk for 8 months, went from 234 lb to 170. Had stomach cramps at first that worsened with a higher dose. The lower dose worked well enough. Have been off of it for 2 months with little change to established weight and eating habits, so far, no weight gain."

"Mounjaro has been a blessing to me. I'm a 70-year-old male who was previously obese, had high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and type 2 diabetes. I've had 2 heart attacks and received stents, as well as a knee replacement. I started with a low dose and quickly moved up to 10, then 15, over 6 months. I started at 290 pounds and now weigh 215. I'm 6'1" with wide shoulders and frame. I'm no longer obese. I've been on 12 medications and now down to 5. Metformin was just reduced at night due to low glucose alerts in the early hours on my CGM. Mounjaro has improved my life. It's easy to use and WORKS."
