"I am currently taking Mounjaro. I was weighing 263 lbs in November 2023, and I have lost 93 lbs. I am at 170 now. I went from size 18 and 20 to size 12. I was on Ozempic and could not take that, it made me so sick. I have no problems with Mounjaro other than sulfur burps and a lot of gas. I have to make myself eat, and when I do, I only eat a bite of food. I am on the 7.5 dosage now, and I am so lucky that my insurance covers it, and my cost is $25.00."

"I'm a 53-year-old male and my weight has gone up slowly with each passing year, so the ladies at my doctor's office were telling me how they all were losing weight by taking the Mounjaro shots. I was a little bit worried at first because of the thought of having to give myself a shot. I barely felt it, so I started out on the 2.5 shots, and the only side effect I got was the burping sulfur taste. This is the absolute best thing I could have done, it's lowered my blood pressure, and I'm off the meds for that. I sleep better and feel healthier, the only bad thing is my clothes don't fit. I'm feeling better about myself. I'm now on the 10mgs, but each month I went up to a stronger dose, but I'm going to stay with the 10s as a maintenance shot. I don't feel hungry at all, I have no cravings, I have to make myself eat, and when I do eat, it's just a little bit at a time. You don't want to overeat on this or you will be sorry. I highly recommend it. A big thanks to the makers of Mounjaro. I've lost 40 pounds in 4 months."

"This medication has given me my life back. I have been on the diet and workout train for the last 24 years, but nothing worked to lose a significant amount of weight. I did take one medication that worked temporarily years ago but left me feeling like trash, and once I was finished, the weight came back and then some. I have lost 90 lbs on Mounjaro over the last 14 months. Yes, my eating did improve because it quieted the food noise. I no longer starve myself throughout the day and then binge. Mounjaro has truly changed my life. I was giving up hope and falling into depression because nothing worked, and I didn't want to risk my life with surgery. Thank you to the makers of this medication. You have no idea how you are changing people with weight loss struggles. It's so much bigger than stop eating and working out more. "I started taking Mounjaro 2.5 mg on September 6th, weighing in at 128 kilos. I'm now on my 7th shot of 10 mg (as I stayed on 10 mg for another month over Christmas) and I weigh 106 kilos in January. This is without changing my lifestyle of exercise or food. I eat smaller portions and don't think about food half as much as I used to. It's been great up until my 6th shot of 10 mg. I would experience mild side effects of nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, sulfur burps. These tended to be spread across the board as well though, never all at the same time, and it was manageable. However, my 6th dose I felt instantly! I was nauseous for 3 days straight, vomiting, diarrhea, sulfur burps, tired, the list is endless. I was so worn out by the nausea, I couldn't sleep, eat, or drink. I took myself to the walk-in center at the hospital where they referred me straight to A&E for having a resting heart rate of 128 bpm. I was put on an IV drip, bloods taken. I felt awful and still do! Going to go back to 7.5 mg."

"I am just starting this process. It has been 2 1/2 weeks on 2.5 ml. I have lost 9 lbs. I'm 55 years old, 5'7", 182 starting weight. Menopause kicked my butt, I could never lose more than 5 lbs. Negative side effects: headaches (which I've been prone to or sensitive to in the past), sometimes several times a day. I had mild diarrhea the first week and am now one week in with constipation. Mounjaro seemed to reduce my internal stomach size enormously. I don't have to remind myself to eat, like other people have said, but my body is on a delay and feels full 90 percent of the time - like I don't wake up ready for breakfast, it takes two hours to want to eat. What I do eat is a fraction of what I used to eat. For example, a small soup is plenty for lunch, yogurt for breakfast. It's definitely working for me, very happy. "I have never had anything like this in my life! I was always small and IBW until I went through menopause. Afterward, I gained weight regardless of what I did. Nothing I tried and no program I did helped. Once I reached a size 22 on my 5'4 frame and weighed almost 230 lb, I decided to do something else. By this time, I had also become 'pre-diabetic' and was insulin resistant. I have been on Mounjaro for 7 months and am now a size 8, down 65 pounds. My blood sugars are perfect, and I feel like my old self again! The journey has been effortless, and I enjoy the foods I like, but my body metabolizes it better. I have now switched to Wegovy since insurance only covers Mounjaro if you are diabetic. I would stay on it forever, but cannot continue to pay almost $1,100.00/month for it."

"My wife has been taking it since January this year and has lost just a hair over 50 lbs. It has done very well for her and the weight is staying off. The only side effects noticed so far are that it makes you very gassy, somewhat indigestion, and every now and then a little constipation."

"I am 56 years old and I weighed 343 lbs, and my height is 6 ft. tall when I asked my doctor about using Mounjaro. I was a type 2 diabetic. I wore a size 50 pants and a 4 XL shirt. Started Mounjaro a year and six months ago along with a low carb diet. I walked on the treadmill 1 to 3 miles 3 times a week. As of today, I've lost 134 lbs and wear a size 32 to 34 pants. My shirts are large to extra large. I am able to jog and not walk. My A1c is 4.5 to 5.4, down from 7. All around better quality of life thanks to Mounjaro. I wished there was a way to post my pictures of my before and after on here. But I just wanted to share, and if my 56-year-old self can do it, anyone can. God bless."

"I have been struggling with my weight since I was 16. I quit smoking, had two children, entered menopause, and my weight became uncontrollable (my blood tests have always been perfect). I found the strength to start dieting a couple of times a year but hit rock bottom in March, 48 years old, 107 kgs. Depressed and unable to start -again- the keto diet (it works very well for me), I asked for help and was put on antidepressants and Mounjaro. A real game changer. I started the diet with no willpower, no bad feelings, no cravings, no need for self-control, just naturally. I got into ketosis easily and quickly. As a side effect, I have slight nausea a couple of days after the injection. No big deal, as it helps with the diet. No more food noise, I am able to think and prepare my meals without rushing, and so far, I have lost 6 kg in 14 days. I plan to continue for as long as I can and then stop and get my weight under control. We'll see."

"I was on Mounjaro for 3 months for weight loss, starting weight 180 lbs. I increased to the next dosage every month. I had minimal side effects besides constipation and lost a total of 28 lbs. I did not wing off the medication, and everything went fine. I did blood work last week, and everything was perfect compared to the year before. My weight has been steady thanks to the healthy habits I built during the medication."

"It's too early to say that Mounjaro has been life-changing, but it is certainly trending that way. My first week was a huge drop in water weight; I lost about 11 pounds. Weeks 2-4 it slowed a bit, and I'm down about another 5 lbs. I'll be starting the 5 mg tomorrow. 16 lbs in my first month is pretty darn good, I'd say. Very little side effects thus far: severe nausea, but it's fleeting; it sticks around for 30-60 seconds then disappears, occurring every two or three days. In terms of how I feel, the changes have been subtle but definitely noticeable. My appetite is absolutely gone for the first 48 hours after injection, then comes back gradually. By the 5th or 6th day, I'm thinking about food again on a regular basis. I do feel that I have more energy, and my willingness to do even small household tasks seems to be higher than it has in a couple of years. Everything just seems like less of a burden. I started at 441 lbs, and am hopeful I can get back to around 300 eventually."

"I'm on month three. My doctor thinks I might be too sensitive to it and may have to stop soon. Extreme nausea, occasional vomiting, and sulfur burps followed by diarrhea, weakness, and lethargy. The pros: in three months, I've gone from 262 lbs to 239 lbs."

"I have been on Mounjaro for just two weeks. I've lost 5 pounds without trying. While that's nice, I am posting a very early review to let other newbies know that other than some indigestion the first two days, I haven't had any side effects. I had major constipation on Ozempic. I find taking a daily stool softener, staying hydrated, taking a Metamucil tablet daily, and taking a daily prebiotic (get the refrigerated one in your pharmacy as it has live cultures. Keep it refrigerated!). I'm on 5 mg, but I am moving up to 7.5 next week. I will go to 10 mg if there is no supply of 7.5. My pharmacist said to get my order for the 7.5 mg in at least 7 days early so they can get it in on time. They don't stock it, but they get it overnight. Just FYI, after using Ozempic and Mounjaro, I weigh less than I did 10 years ago. I've gone down 4 sizes and 4 inches off my waist since Christmas! Now a petite XL rapidly headed to petite L."

"I am 5'2", 41 years old, started taking the shot in November of 2023. Weighed in at 293, cried all the way home. Within a week lost 16 pounds. Here I am, almost a complete 4 months later, and down 72 pounds. Best thing I have ever done. No more snoring or waking up all hours of the night, and I have so much more energy. Yes, I have some constipation, but it is a small price to pay to feel so much better! Next month I will be on the highest dose. "Have been injecting Mounjaro weekly for a month now and have lost 4 kg, but here is what I learned… 1. Make sure you're fully hydrated before injecting the recommended dosage of the first 2 weeks, needles being 2.5 ml, as it dehydrates you big time and most of the time is why you are feeling nauseated, but keep hydrated, drink up. Eg. Powerade or Hydralytes… 2. Inject in the top thigh as it is less nausea feelings than injecting in the tummy. 3. Your body automatically tells you that you are full after a small portion of dinner (saucer plate size) as breakfast I craved Vegemite on thin bread, so maybe I was lacking either salt or B12 levels down. Lunch I ate a small amount too, but have snacks 4 times a day, even one sugar lolly made me feel better."

"I have been diabetic and overweight for 20 or more years, along with several health issues and various medications. Thank God for my doctor and Mounjaro. I started at 2.5 and 204 lbs in March, with few side effects. It is easy to use. I am now on 5.0 and 64 lbs lighter, and my A1c is at 5.7. I can breathe better and go for walks more. "I am a 61-year-old female. I have been overweight for over 20 years and also dealing with other health issues. I started taking Mounjaro just a little over a year. I started with 5mg in the first week and lost 9lbs in one week, then I increased to 7mg and continued to lose weight. Long story short, I am now on 15mg and I have lost a total of 90lbs, from 339 to 247. This is unbelievable. I too have to make myself eat, like other reviews have stated. I feel so good. I have had 3 major back surgeries within the past 3 years. My A1C was never good, but now it's perfect. I used to walk hunched over, and now my posture is perfect. I want to lose 50lbs or more but I am happy with the state I'm in. However, I will be extremely happy to lose some more weight. "This medication is incredible. My cholesterol and blood pressure were borderline. My doctor suggested losing weight (I have had a weight problem my entire life), which was an ongoing life pursuit for me. Nothing lasted. I would end up feeling worthless and depressed. I started this medication in January 2023. Today is April 25th, and I have lost 36 pounds. My blood pressure is on its way down. My energy levels were stable throughout the day from week one, so it is not just the weight loss, the medicine has helped with my ADHD and my depression. The only side effect I have experienced was constipation, which I corrected by using small dosages of Miralax daily. I hope the FDA approves this medication for weight loss soon. It is a great tool to use along with healthy eating and exercise."

"I am just starting week 5. I started on 5mg, so today was my first 7.5. Last month, I lost exactly 20 pounds. I started at 222 and now I'm at 202 after 1 month. I get bad constipation, but nothing Dulcolax liquid can't fix. I drink 2 protein shakes a day, a handful of chicken, and some days I replace chicken with fruits and low-fat cottage cheese. I drink lots of water and have 1 coffee with only milk once a week. I can't wait until this time next month. It's definitely a game changer. I haven't been that active, but today I will start going to the gym 5 days a week. I will update next month."

"This medication has been a huge blessing in my life. Started at the lowest dose in August of 2022. Increased each month to the highest dose and have stayed there for 3 months now. It's May of 2023, and I have lost 80 pounds! I was pre-diabetic, depressed, and hopeless. I've had a bit of stomach upset, diarrhea, heartburn, gas... nothing terrible. But I feel so much better. My joints don't hurt hardly at all, I have more confidence to go places and talk to people and do stuff outside, and I even sleep better. I was looking into bariatric surgery before I found Mounjaro. I'm so glad I didn't have to do that."

"I just wanted to give an update on my success on Mounjaro. I've been on it for 18 months. I continue to lose weight slowly. No problem with the shot. I've lost a total of 118 pounds. I went from a size 22 to a size 2. I do Weight Watchers app online for the accountability. And walk 5-8 miles a day. My doctor thinks I should be her spokesperson in her office for the new patients going on it to give them motivation. But can't with HIPAA. I'm okay with her giving them my name and everything, but she can't. It's funny when I'm out in public and people are not sure if it's me or not. But it sure makes me feel good. I just know when people do ask how I've lost weight, and I tell them. I say with diet, exercise, and I have diabetes. I also take Mounjaro, but it's not a miracle drug."

"In the beginning, I weighed 340 lb and was a heavy drinker with lots of beer. When I started Mounjaro, I was a little bit skeptical and nervous about the side effects and results. My work is primarily sitting in a chair behind a computer and interacting through Teams with coworkers. I noticed a huge change after 1 year, now that I lost almost 110 lb and am feeling extremely motivated to do every energy activity around the house, going out more frequently outdoors or just to the city!
