"I started Zepbound in April 2024 at 193 lbs. It’s December 2024, I’m now 140 lbs. I have stayed at the 10 mg dose for almost 3 months now, as I am trying to tone my body since I lost 50 lbs fast. The side effects suck when I go up a dose, but my body adjusts after 4 weeks, so it’s been great. I have noticed that I wake up with hunger pains now, but my plan is to get used to them again before I start weaning off the drug. Side effects for me include headaches and fatigue. It’s not that bad after a while, the main thing is being strategic and proactive about getting your fiber, protein, and water in. I haven’t been to the gym since I started the 10 mg, and I’ve slowed down on the weight loss (which I’m okay with). I like 140, I’m just trying to tone now, so when I wean off, it won’t all come back. I’ll update you guys in a couple of months."

"This stuff is great. I have lost 60 lbs in 4 months. Best stuff out there. I tried Ozempic, but it didn't compare to the results of Mounjaro. I would highly recommend this to anyone trying to lose weight."

"Just took shot #5 of 2.5g this morning. In the last month I've lost 8#. The head thing other people talk about is real: on Zepbound, I don't crave junk foods, only desire normal portions, food-obsessing is gone, and it does not change how food tastes. Hallelujah! 1st thing: eat a lot of protein, at least 80g/day and this will help to ensure you burn fat rather than muscle. 2nd thing: drink at least 80 oz of water/day to keep side effects away."

"I am 56 years old and I weighed 343 lbs, and my height is 6 ft. tall when I asked my doctor about using Mounjaro. I was a type 2 diabetic. I wore a size 50 pants and a 4 XL shirt. Started Mounjaro a year and six months ago along with a low carb diet. I walked on the treadmill 1 to 3 miles 3 times a week. As of today, I've lost 134 lbs and wear a size 32 to 34 pants. My shirts are large to extra large. I am able to jog and not walk. My A1c is 4.5 to 5.4, down from 7. All around better quality of life thanks to Mounjaro. I wished there was a way to post my pictures of my before and after on here. But I just wanted to share, and if my 56-year-old self can do it, anyone can. God bless."

"Zepbound was effective within the first week. I experienced a significant decrease in hunger and decreased interest in food. I also found that I could not always finish a meal serving in one sitting. Initially, I had minor issues in bowel habits (constipation and diarrhea). Both symptoms are minor and managed with adequate hydration and fiber-rich foods. More disconcerting have been the “egg burps” caused by bacterial action on sulfur-rich foods in a slowed GI system. I have selected less sulfur-rich foods and make a concerted effort to drink more water during a day or two following the weekly injection. This side effect seems to have moderated, perhaps as I am into the second month of my current dosage and third month on Zepbound and/or temporarily minimizing sulfurous food intake in a short period following injection. I also track my food intake and assure I am eating an adequate level of protein. I have lost 15 pounds in 10 weeks. I am 77 and a woman."

"I started in October and am now on 10 mg. I have lost 106 lbs. I feel better than I have in years. I’m 69 and will be 70 in August. I do more, I get out more, I’m involved again. I have 60 more to go. I’m not saying it’s been a bed of roses, but the good outweighs the bad days 95%. Also, in the beginning, I would give myself the injection at night and then take something for nausea my doctor prescribed and no longer felt nauseous. Good luck, everyone, to a longer and better life."

"Have been injecting Mounjaro weekly for a month now and have lost 4 kg, but here is what I learned… 1. Make sure you're fully hydrated before injecting the recommended dosage of the first 2 weeks, needles being 2.5 ml, as it dehydrates you big time and most of the time is why you are feeling nauseated, but keep hydrated, drink up. Eg. Powerade or Hydralytes… 2. Inject in the top thigh as it is less nausea feelings than injecting in the tummy. 3. Your body automatically tells you that you are full after a small portion of dinner (saucer plate size) as breakfast I craved Vegemite on thin bread, so maybe I was lacking either salt or B12 levels down. Lunch I ate a small amount too, but have snacks 4 times a day, even one sugar lolly made me feel better."

"I have been diabetic and overweight for 20 or more years, along with several health issues and various medications. Thank God for my doctor and Mounjaro. I started at 2.5 and 204 lbs in March, with few side effects. It is easy to use. I am now on 5.0 and 64 lbs lighter, and my A1c is at 5.7. I can breathe better and go for walks more. I crave no sugar or carbs. I was miserable with no hope in sight. I will be going on the 7.5 with hopefully no side effects. Thank you Mounjaro and my doctor for giving me my life back."

"It's too early to say that Mounjaro has been life-changing, but it is certainly trending that way. My first week was a huge drop in water weight; I lost about 11 pounds. Weeks 2-4 it slowed a bit, and I'm down about another 5 lbs. I'll be starting the 5 mg tomorrow. 16 lbs in my first month is pretty darn good, I'd say. Very little side effects thus far: severe nausea, but it's fleeting; it sticks around for 30-60 seconds then disappears, occurring every two or three days. In terms of how I feel, the changes have been subtle but definitely noticeable. My appetite is absolutely gone for the first 48 hours after injection, then comes back gradually. By the 5th or 6th day, I'm thinking about food again on a regular basis. I do feel that I have more energy, and my willingness to do even small household tasks seems to be higher than it has in a couple of years. Everything just seems like less of a burden. I started at 441 lbs, and am hopeful I can get back to around 300 eventually."

"I am a 61-year-old female. I have been overweight for over 20 years and also dealing with other health issues. I started taking Mounjaro just a little over a year. I started with 5mg in the first week and lost 9lbs in one week, then I increased to 7mg and continued to lose weight. Long story short, I am now on 15mg and I have lost a total of 90lbs, from 339 to 247. This is unbelievable. I too have to make myself eat, like other reviews have stated. I feel so good. I have had 3 major back surgeries within the past 3 years. My A1C was never good, but now it's perfect. I used to walk hunched over, and now my posture is perfect. I want to lose 50lbs or more but I am happy with the state I'm in. However, I will be extremely happy to lose some more weight. I am a living testament that these injections work, just like the thousands of other reviews are saying. Where was this medication 20 years ago?"

"This medication is incredible. My cholesterol and blood pressure were borderline. My doctor suggested losing weight (I have had a weight problem my entire life), which was an ongoing life pursuit for me. Nothing lasted. I would end up feeling worthless and depressed. I started this medication in January 2023. Today is April 25th, and I have lost 36 pounds. My blood pressure is on its way down. My energy levels were stable throughout the day from week one, so it is not just the weight loss, the medicine has helped with my ADHD and my depression. The only side effect I have experienced was constipation, which I corrected by using small dosages of Miralax daily. I hope the FDA approves this medication for weight loss soon. It is a great tool to use along with healthy eating and exercise."

"I started on Friday, March 21, and had no side effects for the first two weeks. Then I overate cheesy pasta and had severe diarrhea. The next 10 days, I had three more episodes of diarrhea and vomiting. And severe fatigue. I was not able to continue my exercise routine as often as usual. The fatigue after minimal activity was interfering with my life. I cannot walk more than a few blocks. I stopped the injections three weeks ago, and for the most part, I have intermittent fatigue. It apparently takes about 25 days for the med to be out of the system. I lost 9 pounds after the first 3 or 4 weeks and have not gained them back. I didn't have quite the same separation of thoughts of food as I had expected. Hopefully, only another week or two to get my energy back."

"This medication has been a huge blessing in my life. Started at the lowest dose in August of 2022. Increased each month to the highest dose and have stayed there for 3 months now. It's May of 2023, and I have lost 80 pounds! I was pre-diabetic, depressed, and hopeless. I've had a bit of stomach upset, diarrhea, heartburn, gas... nothing terrible. But I feel so much better. My joints don't hurt hardly at all, I have more confidence to go places and talk to people and do stuff outside, and I even sleep better. I was looking into bariatric surgery before I found Mounjaro. I'm so glad I didn't have to do that."

"I have been on Zepbound for 6 weeks. (4 weeks 2.5) (2 weeks at 5.0) I have lost 23 lbs. 307-284 I ride bike/treadmill and lift weights. I eat 2300 calories a day. If I happen to eat too much, I don't seem to notice. But what I do notice is I don't crave food like before. Before, I used to still be hungry after dinner. Not anymore. That part of my brain that was ravenous for more is gone."

"I am just starting week 5. I started on 5mg, so today was my first 7.5. Last month, I lost exactly 20 pounds. I started at 222 and now I'm at 202 after 1 month. I get bad constipation, but nothing Dulcolax liquid can't fix. I drink 2 protein shakes a day, a handful of chicken, and some days I replace chicken with fruits and low-fat cottage cheese. I drink lots of water and have 1 coffee with only milk once a week. I can't wait until this time next month. It's definitely a game changer. I haven't been that active, but today I will start going to the gym 5 days a week. I will update next month."

"I have been on Zepbound for two months and have lost only 9 pounds. I don't eat breakfast because I am not hungry, this has been a lifelong habit of mine. I am hungry at noon and eat more than I should. I have found that I am eating too fast, which is causing me to not have the weight loss that I would have if I ate slower. I have noticed that when I eat slower, I stop eating when I am halfway done with my meal. Hopefully, I can break a lifelong habit of eating fast. I have no side effects from the drug or overeating."

"With the initial injection of 2.5 taken before bed. I woke up with painful, swollen neck lymph nodes and extreme fatigue. The next day, the swollen lymph nodes seemed to have moved down, now in the chest/armpit area. On the 3rd day, one of my knees is swollen and horribly painful. I have absolutely never had any knee issues prior to the injection. If I get nauseous, drinking more water helps. At this start of the med, continuing is definitely not worth it."

"I have had a good experience with Zepbound. So far, I have lost 30 lbs in 6 months. This is my take and experience. You will feel sick if you eat improperly. You're not going to lose weight and continue to eat like you have been. Butter, fat, oil, and overeating will make you feel nauseous. These drugs slow down your digestion. I learned that in the first 24 hrs. I was at a barbecue and piled the food on my plate like normal. I felt sick the rest of the day. I learned my lesson. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids. Since digestion is slower, other functions slow down too! (If you know what I mean). Don't starve yourself, that will make you feel sick too. I have found that avoiding too many carbs and eating high in protein is working for me. I'm hoping my brain is rewired for when I go off Zepbound. I don't plan on being on this forever."

"Began 1 month ago, March 2025, starting with 2.5 mg at 210 lbs, and I am 5'4", size 14. 2nd month, same dosage, 2.5 mg. Now my weight is 183 lbs, size 10. I do have nausea, but it goes away when I drink plenty of water/seltzer. I can eat what I want, but small portions, and I can put the fork down. I take the shot at bedtime. I have only used my arms. It does not hurt. I am happy this is working."

"I started this journey at 387 lbs. On the initial dosage of 2.5 mg, I lost 12 lbs in the first month. I have no side effects to speak of, and the food noise is 90% gone - although it seems to know when I'm within 24 hours of my next injection. The weight loss from the 5 mg cycle feels like another 10 lbs, but my Dr. visit will tell the tale. I am VERY happy with this decision, and I have NO regrets."

"I have just started on the 2.5 mg dose. This is the end of my second week. I’m not experiencing any side effects except belching. I’m really looking forward to my weight loss and feel confident that with some walking daily and use of light weights I will reach my goal. I’m not overdoing the exercise, as when I do, I regrettably always quit. I’m paying for this out of pocket, so this is also a great motivator for me (get my money’s worth!) Using the injection is no problem, and I’m also looking forward to no more snoring (sleep apnea), which is a bonus as I didn’t know about that until I started taking it. This will please my husband! I’m purchasing it through Eli Lilly and my dr. sends them my script, I pay them monthly, and they send it to me via mail. I’m hoping Medicare may cover this in the future, as it’s been in the news it will if you have sleep apnea."

"I feel amazing on Mounjaro. I feel as though my body is “back in tune,” and the weight comes off steadily. I’m just never hungry, but I do eat. It doesn’t take much for me to feel full once I do eat. 23 pounds lighter and 10 more to go."

"I've been on Zepbound for 6 months, and it has worked great for me! 40 lbs. down!!! I only feel yucky the day after the injection, but other than that, no other concerns. I just received a letter from my insurance company (Keystone East) stating that beginning 1/1/2025, IBX in whole is no longer covering weight loss drugs. WOW!!!! :( People like myself have been waiting most of their lives for a drug like this, and here we go with corporate America. Even though I'm 40 lbs. down, I still need to lose an additional 40 lbs. just to be considered overweight and not obese in the medical world. My joints no longer hurt, and I can work out without the aches and pains. My overall health has improved so much, and I am greatly disappointed and upset with this decision from IBX. I wish everyone much luck if this will be happening to you too after the new year."
