"After so many people I knew were doing so well on these injections, I started Zepbound 6 weeks ago. I was fine for 24 hours, then the side effects kicked in. I don't recall ever feeling this sick. Sulfur burps, churning stomach, started vomiting and diarrhea for 3 full days. I was sick for days after the first shot. I had no hunger while so very sick. Week 2 and 3 had no problems and the food cravings were gone. I was prepared to be very successful on this medication. Week 4 sulfur burps came back again, 24 hours after my injection. The same reactions returned but less violent, I was sick for 24 hours. Maybe a fluke? Week 5 and 24 hours in, same sulfur burps started it again: diarrhea, stomach spasms, and vomiting. Nope, off the Zepbound. I would rather stay fat than make myself sick with every dose. I never got beyond 2.5. I know this has been wonderful for some people, it's just not for me."

"In the last 7 months, I went on a medically supervised, 1100-calorie per day diet to lose weight. I'm a 52-year-old female, 5'9'', and weighed 282 lbs. I managed to get down to 255 lbs and was feeling physically better, but constantly hungry, cranky, and miserable (also miserable to be around). After much discussion with my doctor (who was in favor of the medication), I started taking 2.5mg of Zep just before Christmas. After 3 weeks of use and despite many holiday celebrations, I'm down 4 lbs and all my cranky hanger is gone. I feel much better - all the noise in my head about food has disappeared, along with much of my appetite. I had constipation for the first couple of days after the first shot, but now I don't have any. My side effects have been minimal thus far, but I notice cravings and a bit of hunger coming back on days 5 and 6. I'm amazed at how easy this makes managing my diet, and it is so nice to not feel like a failure for once! I'm paying out of pocket with the savings card, but the $560 per month is so worth it."

"I am a white male, age 64, with type 2 diabetes. I started with a weight of 280 pounds, but in 10 weeks, I have managed to reduce it to 219 pounds. This achievement has been possible with the help of Mounjaro. Currently, I am only taking 7.5 units of Mounjaro. Previously, I used to take 5 insulin shots a day, but now I only require 1 in the morning if my sugar levels are above 145. My goal is to become insulin-free, and I am on my way to achieving that. I have been dependent on insulin for over 20 years. In addition to medication, I have made significant lifestyle changes. I work out 5 times a week and have made adjustments to my diet. These efforts, combined with Mounjaro, have allowed me to get back my life. I am grateful to Mounjaro for giving me this opportunity to regain control of my health."

"In 2023, I began taking Mounjaro and went from the 2.5 dosage to 10. I lost almost 40 pounds and then couldn't get it anymore! I put on 22 pounds in about 6 weeks! When Mounjaro became available again, I started again and lost that 22 pounds plus 50 more pounds for a total of 72 pounds. I have NEVER had a single side effect and have used EMMA for any constipation (but I've always had trouble with constipation anyway!). My goal was to get to 125 pounds and then gain back 5 pounds because all my life I've heard that it's a good thing to do to fill out your face. It may be just an old wives' tale, but I now weigh 127 and that's my plan. I guess I should tell my age so that older individuals who have suffered from the highs and lows of dieting and never being successful long-term will realize that we too can lose weight and keep it off. 84."

"I started Zepbound 17 days ago. 64-year-old woman, 210 lbs, BMI 33.9, height 5 ft 6 inches. Insulin resistant, high blood pressure, and cholesterol, sleep apnea. No problem at all with the injection. I don't even feel it. I do bring it to room temperature before injecting. I was terrified of the potential side effects but thankfully haven't experienced any that aren't very manageable. I notice if I eat certain foods for dinner, they aren't digested by morning, so I avoid those. I might feel a bit of nausea from time to time but use ginger chews. I definitely feel full faster and eat less. I've only weighed myself once so far, on day 9, and was down 7 pounds. Frankly, I have been a little scared of the scale after failing so many different diets (Keto, Intermittent Fasting, South Beach, Weight Watchers, to name a few). I'd diligently stay on them for several weeks only to have the scale not budge, or sometimes my weight went up! So discouraging. I'm so hopeful with this new medication!"

"I am currently taking Mounjaro. I was weighing 263 lbs in November 2023, and I have lost 93 lbs. I am at 170 now. I went from size 18 and 20 to size 12. I was on Ozempic and could not take that, it made me so sick. I have no problems with Mounjaro other than sulfur burps and a lot of gas. I have to make myself eat, and when I do, I only eat a bite of food. I am on the 7.5 dosage now, and I am so lucky that my insurance covers it, and my cost is $25.00."

"I’ve lost 43 lbs in the last 9 months. I experienced some mild hair loss (but started this in menopause, so that contributed to hair loss as well), increased heart rate, although mine was low to start, some burping, and tiredness. The worst side effect for me is the diarrhea. I have it starting about 24-48 hrs after injection. It lasts on and off for about 3 days. Overall, these side effects have been mild and manageable. The weight loss has been life-changing!!"

"I just had my 2nd shot of Zepbound and the side effects so far are that I burp a lot (lol) & feel a little tired, but nothing major at all. I can’t eat much at all, maybe a few bites, and it takes me forever to get those few bites down, then I’m full for a few hours. I have been keeping a complete diary of this. So determined. Hope this helps."

"I have been taking Zepbound for seven and a half weeks now. I have lost 20 lbs! I am happy about that. I love how it takes that constant hunger I felt and cravings for junk are gone - that’s a miracle in itself. I did have some side effects of bloating, nausea, and sulfur burps and gas, but they do seem to taper off as your body adjusts to the dose. I am now up to a 5 mg dose but have opted to stay here for now because the nausea was increasing. I have no hunger at all. I will try it another month at 5 mg and if no relief in the nausea, I will ask to go back to the 2.5 dose. I continue to lose 2-3 pounds a week and it is adding up."

"I started taking Zepbound approximately 3 weeks ago, and this is after having the Gastric Sleeve a year ago. Due to becoming ill, I gained about 30lbs back and was not happy at all. So finally, my doctor prescribed Zepbound. The nausea is unreal, but I tolerate it. When trying to eat anything fried, it's a vomiting situation that's going to happen. But overall, I have lost about 4lbs in the 3 weeks with no exercise. I will try and start exercising with the next mg upgrade. Guys, please realize everybody's journey is different, and you will lose what your body is supposed to lose, so don't overdo it. Zepbound is working great for me at the moment."

"I normally do not write reviews, but this medication has been very helpful. I have struggled with being overweight my entire life. I have always felt like my medical conditions were fighting against me, but week 1, I lost 5.8 lbs. This is not a miracle drug, I do run 6 mi 5 days a week (started at 1 mi) and lift weights 3 times a week. I also have an active lifestyle with 6 kids. I eat a high-protein, low-carb diet and make sure I drink 100 oz of water a day. I have been able to lose 40 lbs in 12 weeks. I started at 2.5 mg for 4 weeks, bumped up to 5 mg, and my doctor is keeping me at that because I have done so well. I have 25 lbs until I reach my goal weight. Without this medication, I would have still been depressed, overweight, and my health would still be declining. I have tried every workout, every diet. Zepbound has been the game changer. I have not experienced any negative side effects."

"I've been on Zepbound for about 3 months. I'm 5'3' and started at 167. So far I have lost 12 lbs. trying to maintain a 1,200 calorie diet. The main thing is to watch what you eat and quit when you are full. The only side effects I've seen are fatigue and constipation. The shots don't bother me at all and no nausea, thank goodness. The only thing I'm really worried about is gaining it back when I stop. Good luck to all!"

"Been on Zepbound 7 weeks now. Lost about 22 lbs so far with no exercise. This stuff is amazing at curbing your appetite. But beware, stick to healthy foods and minimal portions because the nausea is otherworldly. I ate too much too late in the day yesterday. I had to leave work early today for the second time since being on this med. Light-headed, profuse sweating, chills, diarrhea almost non-stop and even puking. This med is a miracle, but you cannot mess around. Take it seriously. Cut back portions, minimal dairy, low sugar and don't eat too late. I'm excited to see how far I can go on this med. So thankful I have access."

"After many years of trying to lose weight only to keep gaining, I finally had enough and decided to start Zepbound last December when I found out my insurance would pay for it. I started on 2.5mg like everyone else and increased the dose monthly. It’s June and I currently take 15mg. I have lost 55 pounds. I consistently lose 2 pounds per week. I had side effects as I titrated up. I no longer have any side effects. I am still losing weight and I have never felt better. I plan to stay on this long term. My doctor is on board with that plan as well. I would recommend this to anyone that has tried everything and has been unable to lose the weight. I am 50 years old and want to be able to stay active and have little to no pain. This medicine has changed my life."

"I am one week in and on the 2.5 dose. I was really afraid to start because I didn’t want to get hypoglycemia, which is something I have dealt with my whole life. (I’m not diabetic and do not take insulin, I think I just have plenty of insulin.) But I did it and am so happy I did! I am down 4 lbs in one week and have had minimal side effects. I am eating much less, and food noise is almost gone. I’m excited to keep on going! For reference, I am a 59-year-old woman, 5’ 4”, and my starting weight was 192. So far, this is like a miracle! I highly recommend it if you can get it."

"I'm a 53-year-old male and my weight has gone up slowly with each passing year, so the ladies at my doctor's office were telling me how they all were losing weight by taking the Mounjaro shots. I was a little bit worried at first because of the thought of having to give myself a shot. I barely felt it, so I started out on the 2.5 shots, and the only side effect I got was the burping sulfur taste. This is the absolute best thing I could have done, it's lowered my blood pressure, and I'm off the meds for that. I sleep better and feel healthier, the only bad thing is my clothes don't fit. I'm feeling better about myself. I'm now on the 10mgs, but each month I went up to a stronger dose, but I'm going to stay with the 10s as a maintenance shot. I don't feel hungry at all, I have no cravings, I have to make myself eat, and when I do eat, it's just a little bit at a time. You don't want to overeat on this or you will be sorry. I highly recommend it. A big thanks to the makers of Mounjaro. I've lost 40 pounds in 4 months."

"This medication has given me my life back. I have been on the diet and workout train for the last 24 years, but nothing worked to lose a significant amount of weight. I did take one medication that worked temporarily years ago but left me feeling like trash, and once I was finished, the weight came back and then some. I have lost 90 lbs on Mounjaro over the last 14 months. Yes, my eating did improve because it quieted the food noise. I no longer starve myself throughout the day and then binge. Mounjaro has truly changed my life. I was giving up hope and falling into depression because nothing worked, and I didn't want to risk my life with surgery. Thank you to the makers of this medication. You have no idea how you are changing people with weight loss struggles. It's so much bigger than stop eating and working out more. I wish people would understand, and I wish insurance would approve this for weight loss. So many people are struggling. I never got real sick, sometimes a little nausea the day after."

"I am just starting this process. It has been 2 1/2 weeks on 2.5 ml. I have lost 9 lbs. I'm 55 years old, 5'7", 182 starting weight. Menopause kicked my butt, I could never lose more than 5 lbs. Negative side effects: headaches (which I've been prone to or sensitive to in the past), sometimes several times a day. I had mild diarrhea the first week and am now one week in with constipation. Mounjaro seemed to reduce my internal stomach size enormously. I don't have to remind myself to eat, like other people have said, but my body is on a delay and feels full 90 percent of the time - like I don't wake up ready for breakfast, it takes two hours to want to eat. What I do eat is a fraction of what I used to eat. For example, a small soup is plenty for lunch, yogurt for breakfast. It's definitely working for me, very happy. Good luck to everyone trying this:)"

"I have never had anything like this in my life! I was always small and IBW until I went through menopause. Afterward, I gained weight regardless of what I did. Nothing I tried and no program I did helped. Once I reached a size 22 on my 5'4 frame and weighed almost 230 lb, I decided to do something else. By this time, I had also become 'pre-diabetic' and was insulin resistant. I have been on Mounjaro for 7 months and am now a size 8, down 65 pounds. My blood sugars are perfect, and I feel like my old self again! The journey has been effortless, and I enjoy the foods I like, but my body metabolizes it better. I have now switched to Wegovy since insurance only covers Mounjaro if you are diabetic. I would stay on it forever, but cannot continue to pay almost $1,100.00/month for it."

"I started taking Mounjaro 2.5 mg on September 6th, weighing in at 128 kilos. I'm now on my 7th shot of 10 mg (as I stayed on 10 mg for another month over Christmas) and I weigh 106 kilos in January. This is without changing my lifestyle of exercise or food. I eat smaller portions and don't think about food half as much as I used to. It's been great up until my 6th shot of 10 mg. I would experience mild side effects of nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, sulfur burps. These tended to be spread across the board as well though, never all at the same time, and it was manageable. However, my 6th dose I felt instantly! I was nauseous for 3 days straight, vomiting, diarrhea, sulfur burps, tired, the list is endless. I was so worn out by the nausea, I couldn't sleep, eat, or drink. I took myself to the walk-in center at the hospital where they referred me straight to A&E for having a resting heart rate of 128 bpm. I was put on an IV drip, bloods taken. I felt awful and still do! Going to go back to 7.5 mg."

"I originally started the Zepbound shot at the end of this past January. I weighed a total of 202 lbs when I started it. That would be about 3-4 months ago. I was very self-conscious, I didn't want to take any pictures of myself, I felt disgusted by myself, I always brought myself down, etc. But now, now I weigh 154 lbs. I'm at the 10 mg of the Zepbound. I started off as the lowest and I'm still not at the highest, to be honest. I lost about 50 pounds in the last 4 months! I researched it and it'll take 16 months to lose about 50 pounds for a normal person who doesn't take anything. And I did it in 4 months with that shot! I never thought I would get to this weight, to be honest. In the beginning, I was going to the YMCA to work out every week to put in the extra work, etc. At first, I started losing like a pound a day, not even kidding, sometimes 2 lbs a day. Then it went to a pound every couple days, and it would vary."

"Ten days on Zepbound. Love this medication. The energy it gives you is amazing. 1st day injection in thigh developed bruise and slight nausea and headache. But no biggie. 2nd shot belly super easy. Takes away urge to eat. No more stomach grumbling when hungry either. I have a protein shake in the morning, mid-morning protein bar, little bites throughout the morning. Small lunch and salmon or chicken for dinner. Veggies and fruit are important. No issue with bathroom. I take a fiber gummy and multivitamin daily. Treadmill and gym. After showering, I've been using lots of lotion on skin, massaging in. You'll be fine. Smart choices in foods. Yogurt gave me nausea as did tuna with mayonnaise. 6 lbs so far."

"I have been struggling with my weight since I was 16. I quit smoking, had two children, entered menopause, and my weight became uncontrollable (my blood tests have always been perfect). I found the strength to start dieting a couple of times a year but hit rock bottom in March, 48 years old, 107 kgs. Depressed and unable to start -again- the keto diet (it works very well for me), I asked for help and was put on antidepressants and Mounjaro. A real game changer. I started the diet with no willpower, no bad feelings, no cravings, no need for self-control, just naturally. I got into ketosis easily and quickly. As a side effect, I have slight nausea a couple of days after the injection. No big deal, as it helps with the diet. No more food noise, I am able to think and prepare my meals without rushing, and so far, I have lost 6 kg in 14 days. I plan to continue for as long as I can and then stop and get my weight under control. We'll see."

"I was on Mounjaro for 3 months for weight loss, starting weight 180 lbs. I increased to the next dosage every month. I had minimal side effects besides constipation and lost a total of 28 lbs. I did not wing off the medication, and everything went fine. I did blood work last week, and everything was perfect compared to the year before. My weight has been steady thanks to the healthy habits I built during the medication."

"I’m a 6’4", 275-pound male, 62 years old - no diabetes or health issues, on no other meds. Obtained prescription via Dr. and took the first 2.5 mg injection on Dec. 24. Lost 10 pounds with the first 3 shots, then Dr. said I could go to 5 mg (saved the last 2.5 mg pen for future use) because weight loss had stopped. After starting 5 mg, lost 2 pounds in 2 days - so combined weight loss using 2.5/5 mg is now at 12 pounds in six weeks! No significant or terrible side effects except some constipation, intermittent fatigue, and minor chills at times (not a lot - could just be the cold weather). I've yo-yoed up and down with weight for years. Because of my size, I can eat a lot of food - but this drug has significantly reduced my appetite, and I have more energy overall. I can’t wait to see the results in a few more months. Zepbound has so far been perfect for me. I don’t mind the $550 price (with the Lilly savings card - has been hard to get CVS to make it work, but that’s another story/nightmare)."
