"I love Zepbound ❣️ I started on the low dose, and now I’m on the 7.5, and I have lost over 25 lbs. There are side effects, not bad enough to make me not use it, they include nausea, cramping, and loose dark stool. I am totally disabled and can’t exercise, so this was a great way for me to get lighter on my feet. Thank you. Good luck if you’re starting."

"I have been on Mounjaro since Jan. 2023. I have lost 20 pounds. I need to lose 20 more. Side effects: burping, stomach upset, constipation, flu-like body aches, mildly depressed feeling, and fatigue. Not every day, not every symptom every day, and not all day. It comes and goes. I will continue but do wonder how it’s gonna go long term. I’m just sick of being fat."

"57 years old female, 5'7", and 200 pounds. Tried to get on Mounjaro for 13 months, but cost was $1,200-1,300. I am not diabetic. In 2022, I had normal cholesterol, and BMI was 30. When Zepbound came out, I went to three doctors. One doctor had never heard of Zepbound, acted like GLP-1 was cheating and that I needed to try more exercise and food control. One doctor said maybe I should try diet and exercise first. An Online doctor, Plushcare, agreed after blood work showed high cholesterol, high blood sugar, and other indicators heading up from the prior year. After five blood tests, each worsening, thirteen months of waiting, and spending $800 on visits, I was written a prescription for Zepbound, which cost me $550 for four 2.5 injections. My insurance will not cover the drug, even though they turned down Mounjaro because it was off-label, and Zepbound is for weight loss. Hope insurance companies will pay for Zepbound, but not today. Thanks Ely Lilly for savings card. I'll post results."

"I started Mounjaro at 2.5 mg, 8 months later I am at the 7.5 mg dose but to maintain my loss I now take it twice a month. I went from 210 to 150 lbs. This is a life-changer for me. It took all my cravings for bad food away, no more chips and pizza. I eat a much healthier diet now and like many others eat much less. My heartburn problems are gone and I have a lot more energy."

"I have been on Zepbound for almost a full year. I lost weight quickly: 90 pounds. I was at my goal in 6 months. I had to go back 2 doses to maintain and stop losing weight. The nausea has not stopped. It’s better than in the beginning, but I still get it every time for 1 or 2 days after a shot. The diarrhea is terrible. It has never stopped. I get it on day 2, and it is uncontrollable. It’s been almost a year, so I would think some of these side effects would have stopped, but they haven’t. I also get sulfur burps for a day or 2 after a shot. I’m at the point where I might have to stop taking it due to the side effects. I love the weight loss, and I sure don’t want to gain it back, though."

"Second review. I'm male, 75 years old. Began taking 2.5 mg on January 12, 2025. Today is May 21, 2025. Weight dropped from 268 to 232.5 (35.5 lbs). Went to 10 mg on May 8. Took 2 weekly 10.0 doses in that time period. Suddenly, explosive diarrhea, sulfur burps, nausea, and fatigue began May 18. My PA has advised not taking my 10.0 injection tomorrow (my regular day). Think I may need to drop back to 7.5 — had no side effects at that level (or at 2.5 or 5.0). Had already decided not to go to 12.5 because I have a friend who was fine on 10.0 but encountered major side effects at 12.5. Still, even 10.0 may not be right for me. The weight loss is stunning; haven't been at this level in over five years — but for a BMI of 25, I still have over 70 lbs to go, so I don't want to abandon Zepbound altogether. It may take longer to get there, but that's fine if it means I can avoid side effects."

"Thanks for your efforts in publicizing the difficulties related to weight loss and the great results thus far regarding Mounjaro. I'm 73 years old. T2D and have a history of heart attack and ongoing heart disease. Every type of diet I've tried in the past has shown great results, but at 316 lbs this year, I no longer had the discipline or physical ability to repeat any of those efforts. I started on Mounjaro, paying my own way, on March 3rd of this year. 43 weeks in, with no side effects of any type, I've lost 103 lbs. I'm eating in a far less and healthier manner as I am able, but have no strict food regimen. The same goes for exercise. This is a miracle drug, with terrific results for blood pressure (now 118/68), A1c (5.7), PSA actually decreasing (.15), and I can now walk up to 3 miles at a time compared to 1 block in March. The only prohibitive factor for most people is the cost. Cancer, heart disease, and diabetes don't cause obesity. It seems the profession has it backwards when it comes to treatment."

"I have been on the lowest dosage of Zepbound for about 3-4 months. I’ve lost 22-25 pounds. No, I haven’t increased the time spent exercising. But I am no longer hungry and stuffing junk food into my mouth. My tongue hasn’t forgotten it loves Snickers, but I am able to grab apples and be content. My nephrologist put me on it as I do have kidney disease, I was in the obese range, and I was prediabetic. It’s expensive ($400 per month), but I feel better about myself, and so it’s worth it to me. I was the fat kid in my family and have never been a thin and beautiful person. But Zepbound has given me higher self-esteem because it’s doing what it’s supposed to do… help me to shed weight in a healthy way. I do sometimes experience constipation, then a giant diarrhea round, but I feel good most of the time. I have no other side effects and have been pleased with the assistance Zepbound has given me. "I am a 76-year-old female and was prescribed Mounjaro 2.5mg beginning in July 2023 due to being prediabetic, 5'3'' and 186 lbs. After 3 months, my A1C was normal at 5.7 and all my blood work was within normal range. I had no side effects at all. As soon as Zepbound was approved and available for weight loss, I received a new prescription for Zepbound... still at the 2.5 dosage. It is now February 2024 and I am down to 136, which is my goal weight and a total weight loss of 50 pounds, or about one and a half pounds per week. My doctor said that I don't need to increase to a higher dosage unless 2.5 no longer quells my cravings. So far, the 2.5 works well for me. Now that I no longer want to lose weight, I wonder if I can reduce my weekly injection to once every two weeks. I seem to recall on the Mounjaro reviews that it is possible to do that and still avoid having cravings that could undermine my weight loss maintenance."

"This Zepbound is an absolute miracle! Prior to starting I was 210 and in less than two months down 18 pounds. My triglycerides dropped from 600 to 220. No real side effects other than constipation and nausea if I eat too much. Very grateful for this medication, don’t be afraid of Zepbound, it has changed my life in a very short period of time. Was on 2.5 mg for the first month and now started on the 5 mg with no issue. The food noise is GONE, which I never really knew was a thing, but as an overeater, I definitely understand what that means now. 10/10 all day folks."

"Started last January at 268 pounds, 5 ft 7 in, morbidly obese, could barely walk because of breathlessness and back pain. One year later, I'm down to 159 pounds and have never been healthier. The only side effect I've had from this medication is really bad constipation, which requires a laxative a couple of times per week. This med works so well when you are in a deficit and working out, it makes you full really quickly too. Nothing ever worked for me in the past, but my whole lifestyle has changed for the better since being on this med."

"I have lost 73 lbs in 7 months. I am not hungry, cranky, normal energy levels. I eat what I want, just greatly reduced portions and I am full. Fried & processed foods no longer taste good and I naturally migrate to healthier foods, fruits & veggies. "My insurance won't cover Zepbound. I get it through the 'Lilly Direct Cash Pay for Zepbound vials.' I started with 2.5 mg for 1 month and lost 12 pounds. I moved up to 5 mg and lost 30 pounds in 4 months. Total loss so far, 42 pounds! Starting weight was 184, height is 5'3'. Current weight is 142. Only side effect for me is seldom nausea. Price is $504 each month, and that includes the needles, otherwise, it's $499. Now that Lilly offers the higher doses for the same price, next week I start 7.5 mg. I will update again in a month or so."

"I was so afraid to start this medication because of all the horror stories I heard about side effects. I am on my second injection of 2.5 mg and have so far experienced absolutely no negative side effects. I lost 5 lbs the first week and have so much more energy! It has been a breeze getting my 10k steps in each day. So hoping this is the trend forward. The last several years I have been so weight loss resistant (trauma and Hashimoto's related, I'm sure). "Update on my review from May 25, 2024. I have now been on Zepbound for 16 weeks. Current dosage 10 mg. In these 16 weeks, I have lost 40 pounds, from 204 lb to 164 lb, and my waist size has gone from 40 inches to 36 inches. For context, I am 5'10' tall. Even more incredibly, my blood pressure has decreased from 195/90 to an average of 116/60 as of today. I have more energy and am running regularly 5 days per week. I am also sleeping better, which I think comes from a lessening of sleep apnea symptoms. The only remarkable side effect has been occasional constipation, which is relieved by Miralax. With not only weight loss but improvement in other health measures, I consider my Zepbound treatment to be quite successful!"

"I just started Zepbound 2.5mg two days ago and OMG, I cannot eat ANYTHING! I keep having waves of nausea that feels like I have a stomach virus! OMG people TRY THIS MEDICATION! My insurance wouldn't cover it, so I paid $1292 cash for the month's supply. I have been overweight my entire life, but THIS METHOD IS THE EASIEST WAY TO LOSE WEIGHT! I did weigh myself (after only 2 days), and I lost 8 lbs so far. Next week I am only going to take a half dose (1.25mg) because the nausea has been really awful. "It works but side effects are too much for me. I started 2.5 injections and immediately felt nauseous and vomited every day. I never felt hungry or had the desire to eat. I could only eat a handful of grapes or a few bites of food, and it felt like it never digested. The constant taste of stomach acid/vomit in my mouth made me miserable. Food stayed in my stomach for over 24 hours, which was disgusting. It's like I could still taste it. The lack of any food made me feel exhausted. I missed 2 days of work. I lost 5-6 pounds in 1 week, but the side effects aren't worth it. I won't be continuing. That's a lot of money down the drain, $550 for a 1-week trial. If it weren't for the stomach not emptying and vomiting, I would keep taking it."

"I have been struggling on the weight loss rollercoaster for a while. Up 30 lbs, down 15 lbs, and so on and so forth. I'm taking a compound Mounjaro with B12. I have only been on 2.5 mg for less than a week and in that time, I feel GREAT! I've lost 3 lbs and don't crave midnight snacks, or snacks at all for that matter. The first couple of days I was unsure if I wanted to continue. I was exhausted, I couldn't think clearly, and had no energy. My body ached all over - no one had mentioned this, and just flat out was about to think that this was not for me. Day 3 and I felt great both physically and mentally. I hear people go up on dosage even after losing weight the first month, and unless I stall in my loss, I will continue on 2.5 mg. Remember, too much weight loss in a short amount of time isn't healthy. Slow and steady will help you keep the weight off when you stop taking this medicine (obviously with a change in your eating habits). Why put more drugs into my body than what is needed?"

"I have been taking Zepbound for about 4 months and have dropped 40 pounds. For reference, I am 5’2” and was 192 when I started on the 2.5mg dose. I moved to 5mg after 4 weeks, and I’m still on 5mg (losing 1.5-2 lbs per week). I plan to stay on 5mg as long as I am losing weight. Side effects were tiredness and mild flu-like symptoms the first week, but nothing since. I am making better food choices and make sure I am in a calorie deficit. The medicine helps me feel fuller for longer and quiets food noise. Before I would constantly wander into the kitchen to snack, either due to boredom, stress, or whatever, but now I stick to mealtimes and stop eating when I am satisfied. Zepbound gives me the willpower I never had to resist cravings. This is the first time in my life I have been able to lose weight consistently, and it feels wonderful! "In the beginning, I couldn’t bend over to tie my shoes without having to take a break to breathe, or go through my 8-hour shift on my feet without having knee and ankle pain to the point of tears. I couldn’t wait until I was able to sit down and not get up but just to turn around and do it again. Injecting myself with very simple and easy steps to follow. I had very few side effects, only an occasional loose stool or nauseous sensation once in a while. My starting weight was 248 pounds and I am now 160 pounds. "Was on Wegovy 2 months (PsA weight loss need) - horrible. Lost 18 pounds but got depression, which is odd for me as I have never had it. Once off it, about 3 weeks, I was fine. Decided to give ZepBound a try, a friend had great success with Monjouro (diabetic), when this came out, I was approved. Having a friend with experience really helped to get me through the first 3 weeks. They were rough. But I knew to stay away from meats for 5 days after shot and ANYTHING with fat or oil - it will not digest. 2 days after the shot are the hardest as far as digestion, eat very small, eat early or reflux will occur. My 'go to' is a cup of mac & cheese, half a bagel (plain) or berries (apples indigestible). No variety for me on this. Menthol cough drop a lifesaver - soothes my stomach. Sugars OK. Diarrhea from some foods, turned to some constipation after 2 months. Lost 27 pounds in 3 months, the fatigue is my worst side effect. Find your digestible foods, stick with them, exclusively."

"Started the shot on Wednesday, was kind of nervous. Ate small portions, so I wouldn't get nausea. Didn't really think it was working, didn't feel any different. It is now Monday, I have lost eight pounds. I'm never hungry, have to remember to eat, don't think about food really except fruit, it always sounds good. Absolutely no negative side effects. Started at 187, am now at 179. This is on my first shot! This stuff is amazing, looking forward to that second shot! It's expensive since state insurance doesn't cover it, and I only work part-time, but worth every cent!"

"I started taking this medication for weight loss. My first round of the 4 injections was 2.5 mg, and it had no negative side effects at all. I just had no appetite. I lost 10 lbs within that 4 weeks. I then moved up to the 0.5 mg. The day after taking the first injection, nausea hit like a train. I never threw up but was just nauseous. I called my doctor, and she prescribed medication for the nausea which helped immensely. By the time I took my second injection, the nausea had gone away, and I had lost another 5 lbs. I still have so much more to go and I'm very optimistic. I literally have had no appetite; nothing sounds good or tastes good. I do drink as much water as I can throughout the day. I've had no problems with constipation but as a precaution, I take a couple of stool softeners once a week and I'm good to go. I used to have a sweet tooth, but not now. Great benefits, has tolerable side effects, and is very easy to use."

"I am in the 3rd week of using Mounjaro on a 2.5 dosage. I have lost 12 lbs already in the first 2 weeks. My starting weight was 18 stone and I am now 17.2 stones. The only side effect was constipation, but I have used laxatives to help. My cravings for food have totally disappeared. This is a game changer for me. I have struggled with my weight since I was a teenager, and since reaching menopause, this got worse. I was a comfort food eater, but now I have no cravings whatsoever. It is easy to inject. I am continuing with Mounjaro, and I am hoping I may finally lose my excess weight for good."

"I have been on the medication since 1/19/2024. I did 4 injections of 2.5, then went up to 5 mg. I will be staying with this dosage for at least 2 months. I have dropped 18 pounds so far. I have nausea for a day or two after injection (still able to function at work). I still have about 30ish pounds to lose, but I no longer think about food. I am also so happy that my pain from fibromyalgia has gotten so much better. I don't have the inflammation all the time. I am 50 and in menopause, I have done the eat less, move more with little results. I am very happy with this medication. You still have to do the work (eat little sugar, high protein, exercise), but it is nice to see it actually working now!"
