For Bacterial Vaginosis "I was initially diagnosed with a yeast infection, but after they looked at my results, they diagnosed me with BV. It's my first diagnosis. I'm already impatient because I was treating a 'yeast infection' for a week. This is honestly fairly quick, though. My symptoms subsided after two of the pills (2 pills/day for 2 days). I didn't feel any side effects, but god, are these things nasty. They immediately dissolve before you can swallow them. I'm not a big pill person. I ground them up and stirred them into grapefruit juice-the only way I could take them. Other than that, it works."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I had bacterial vaginitis for about six months, the four pills for two days were great. It made me a little sick the first day, and you do have a metallic taste in your mouth. This medicine works quickly."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I'm a little late on my prognosis, by the next day, the BV and smell were gone! Happy to say I didn't get nausea, or vomiting, or diarrhea. I did, however, get the metallic taste. I didn't feel weak or fatigued, nothing at all. It's great, I like it better than the metrogel. I hate using vaginal creams, and this was great! Good, y'all."

For Amebiasis "Dientamoeba fragilis is notoriously difficult to get rid of. I've tried anti-parasite herbs, Flagyl, Alinia, Tinidazole plus Yodoxin, and most recently, Tinidazole plus Paramomycin. The first time I had a very low dose (250 mg), but I actually felt much better while taking it. After I finished, though, symptoms worsened again. The second time I took 1000 mg, and that knocked out about 90% of my pain and other symptoms for about 4 months, until I took an antibiotic for a different infection. Then, it worsened again. But overall, I feel like Tinidazole worked far better than any of the other remedies (including the herbs, dietary restrictions, and digestive enzymes)."

Tinidazole for Bacterial Vaginosis "Battled bacterial vaginitis for years before I found out about Tindamax. It worked wonders my first round of it, 4 pills, 2 days. I got it again a year later, and this time ... side effects kicked in big time. My fingers were sore, severe muscle aches, red inflamed spots on my chest, fever, and headaches. It lasted 1 whole day, but the bacterial vaginitis was gone and I haven't had it since, but it gave me a yeast infection."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "Within 10 minutes of taking the pills, I could taste the metallic taste. It was not unbearable. BV was gone when I was done with the 2-day treatment. Make sure to take with a very large meal! I think this is what saved me from vomiting. I have a very sensitive stomach and only felt nauseous a couple of times, but it went away quickly. The only other side effect was that I was very fatigued."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "So. I'm giving this drug a 10-star rating. I first took this drug a few years ago when I noticed some gross discharge and an equally gross odor down there. I had just finished my period. I work in an OB/GYN office, so I asked one of the nurses, and she just so happened to have a few samples of Tindamax. I took 4 that day and 4 the next. Guys, when I say this med is the truth, I was cleared the second night-no discharge, no odor, absolutely cured. So fast forward to now, and it seems like the last 2 months I've been getting BV right after my period. I started Flagyl, but it seemed like the discharge was coming more... My clinical manager gave me some Tindamax this morning, and I've taken the first, so I know it will start to clear up. No side effects, love it."

For Trichomoniasis "My husband cheated on me, and I got this awful smell. Went to the doctor and almost fainted when I found out I had trichomoniasis and bacterial vaginitis, but I took these pills. I am allergic to Flagyl, and so I was scared because I’m allergic to most antibiotics, but the pharmacist told me to eat and then 30 minutes before I take the four pills to take a Benadryl, so I did that. Now I no longer have a smell and left my husband, and so they told me to wait a month to get rechecked. I will probably go back before then. I was so ashamed of myself, like I’ve never had a smell, and I was so ashamed of that, but I don’t smell now, so just waiting for this time to get rechecked. Needless to say, I was tired and had a little upset stomach, probably because I didn’t eat enough, but I’m feeling better and back to my old self. This seems to be a lot better than the clindamycin gel. That stuff took the smell away, but in three days it was back. I was like, oh no. This medicine I heard works - we will see."

For Amebiasis "My doctor prescribed me this antibiotic, tinidazole, after finding traces of the blastocystis parasite in my stool. I was a little reluctant to take it at first since it’s a one-time dose of four pills, and I’m only 110 pounds. However, after taking it, I didn’t experience any harsh symptoms like others have. The only thing that really bothered me was the weird taste in my mouth that lasted for about three days. Most of the time, I could ignore it, except when I ate sweet foods... it tastes like spoiled milk. After about two days, I started having dark brown discharge that still hasn’t gone away after five days. I have looked up that this is a common side effect, so hopefully, it will go away soon. I recommend you take this right after a big meal in the middle of the day."

Tinidazole for Trichomoniasis "I was diagnosed with trichomoniasis, and where it came from I'm unsure of. I took the 4 white pills as soon as I got them. I didn't experience any major side effects other than feeling flushed (body temperature was rising) and dehydration. I knew the increase in body temp was an indication the medication was at work. I have not yet had a follow-up with my ob-gyn, but as soon as I do (a couple of days from now), I will repost my personal results and will be able to better rate this drug. As for my partner, who also took Tindamax, he said he felt extremely itchy all over his body and very nauseous and complained of a chemical odor whenever he would urinate. He has yet to go get a follow-up with his doctor as well."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I started to take this after the metrogel, and the pills weren't working for me. My doctor gave me 4 pills of the tinidazole to take twice a day. The first day was okay, but the second, I felt very fatigued and sleepy. I decided to drink coffee, and that actually made it worse (I started really getting nauseous). My symptoms cleared up the next day, that's why I think it's still better than the other meds. Also, you don't have to take it for a whole week."

For Giardiasis "I'm immunocompromised, so sometimes I end up with random bowel infections. I've been on a 2g stat dose of tinidazole a few times now. For violent bouts of uncontrolled and explosive diarrhea caused by suspected protozoal infections, this stuff works amazingly and quickly. Bad parts are the fatigue and metallic taste in your mouth (similar to radiotherapy), and no alcohol for 72 hours lest you end up with nasty issues."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I was so nervous about taking this medication because of the possible side effects and because it was such a large dose (2g/4 pills taken at once per day for 2 days), but it was totally fine and I had barely any side effects! My symptoms started going away on the second day and were completely gone by the next. I made sure to eat a heavy meal (spaghetti and bread followed by a cup of almond milk) before taking the 4 pills both nights. I never felt nauseous, but I did feel very sleepy within 2 hours...slept for almost 12 hrs both nights and didn't want to get out of bed for work the next day. Once I started the day, I felt fine all day, almost forgot I was on them. Had a slight metallic taste in my mouth the next morning but used lifesaver candies to cover it up. I avoided all lotions and makeup products that had traces of alcohol to make sure I didn't have any chance of a reaction. I liked that it was only 2 days of taking antibiotics rather than a week to 10 days."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I've been on 500 mg twice a day for two days. I'm supposed to take it for three more days. Severe side effects. I have extreme weakness, numbness in my left hand/arm, body aches, now severe pelvic pain, which I'm hoping is just a yeast infection, nausea, food tastes weird, I can only drink water with lemon because it makes the water taste metallic, severe fatigue. My doctor has been trying everything for bacterial vaginitis on and off for the past year, and especially the past six months. I know this will work (as Flagyl did in the past), I'm just hoping the side effects go away."

For Trichomoniasis "I was diagnosed with trichomoniasis, and my doctor prescribed me these 4 tinidazole pills at 500 mg. I just took them not too long ago, my vagina was very irritated, itchy, no smell, but it was irritated. Now I'm going to wait the 7 to 10 days to see if everything will be back to normal and check up with my ob-gyn."

For Trichomoniasis "I took tinidazole (4 pills at once = 2 g) on March 16th, 2021. I took it because I was diagnosed with Bacterial Vaginosis as well as Trichomoniasis. I also had yeast (yes, I know so much going on). I took Monistat 3 a day to clear up the yeast. I took this as soon as I got done eating, so my stomach was nice and full. I felt fine after taking this medication the first day. The next day, March 17, 2021, there were very mild symptoms. The symptoms were so mild that I still went about my day without being bothered. During that evening, I had some diarrhea and felt nauseated with very little appetite. But it wasn't to the point of overbearing... my nausea wasn't that bad, it was mild. My appetite seems to be the only thing that really did something, but I still ate. Oh, and urine was dark, and all I drink is water (but taking this med does give you dark urine). On March 18th, symptoms are nonexistent, no smell, no heavy discharge, and side effect symptoms from medication are gone."

Tinidazole for Bacterial Vaginosis "The nausea alone is what made me give this medication a 1. Not only are you over-the-top nauseous, but the tired feeling and nasty metallic taste are overwhelming! I will most definitely be calling my doctor tomorrow for the gel."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I will be so glad when I wake up tomorrow and don’t have to take another pill. I have the worst heartburn and bad metallic taste in my mouth. I can’t drink enough water. I’m tired and have a bad headache. But 4 pills a day for two days was quick. I spread them out and took one every 4 hours. I feel better down there, and hopefully, the BV is gone. I’ve heard with Mirena BV is common, but I’ve changed some of my cleaning habits, as my doctor said overcleaning can be a cause as well. Hoping for no yeast infection. I have been eating a lot of Greek yogurt while taking these pills. Very expensive antibiotic, even with insurance!"

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I was asymptomatic for BV, it was only found on a Pap, but I had to take the tinidazole drug for five days, twice a day. I might’ve had itching, although it could’ve been in my head, but it went away. I didn’t have any side effects besides the metallic taste. I usually took it with meals, but not always. However, the metallic taste is awful and is only starting to go away nearly 24 hours after my last dose. Water is disgusting, and brushing your teeth only helps a little before it gets worse again."

For Giardiasis "I was terrified to take this tinidazole for giardia. I took 1 pill to see what it would do in the height of my infection. It did give me diarrhea. Later (a week), I took the correct dose, all 4 in a day but a couple of hours apart. It wasn't bad. I did get a metallic taste, my stomach rumbled, but other than that, I was fine. I did make sure to eat a big meal first, take lots of water, and avoid anything with alcohol. Unfortunately, after 3 weeks, I believe the giardia is back. Not sure if because I had so bad, or it's something else? These reviews really scare people. Unfortunately, everyone is different. I am sensitive and was able to take this, however, I would not recommend if your stomach is in a horrible state. When I took the first pill, I couldn’t even eat a piece of bread without pain. Try not to take it when your stomach is completely out of whack. Get yourself a bit together first. This is a strong medicine on your stomach. Have some graham crackers on hand and kefir to keep coating your tummy. Good luck."

For Trichomoniasis "I took this med (tinidazole) yesterday. I was diagnosed with trichomoniasis. My dose: 2g for 1 day. I took 2 tablets at 11:30 and 2 tablets at 4:30 pm with a full meal and a glass of almond milk, no side effects. The only side effect is I can’t sleep... but I still have discharge in the morning... is it normal?"

For Bacterial Vaginosis "My doctor suspected bacterial vaginitis, so she gave me samples to use for two days. Did give me the bitter taste in my mouth, and on the 3rd day, I was very tired and weak. I also had sharp stomach pain on the 2nd day for a few hours, but possibly unrelated. Today is the 4th day, and it seems to have helped."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I went in for a check-up and got diagnosed with a yeast infection, even though I knew I didn’t have one. I took the pill anyway. Shortly after that visit, I started showing signs of BV, and my NP called this prescription in. I had to double-check with the pharmacist that my insurance was on file because it was over $40 for 8 pills! After taking the pills, I kept getting this weird metallic taste exactly 30 minutes after taking the pills. I finally figured out it was this med! Everything tasted horrible - water was the worst! I had to come here to read reviews on side effects to ensure I wasn’t losing my mind. But so far, it seems to be working."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "So I read all the bad reviews before taking this, so I'm writing this in case it'll help someone else. To avoid any vomiting, I ate food, took a Bonine (tablet to stop nausea), ate some more food, then took 2 of the antibiotics and chugged a 16.9 oz bottle of water. I did this for the second set of two pills I took a few hours later. I had to take 4 pills daily for 2 days. This didn't help avoid the chills, headache, or the metallic taste, but I didn't vomit or have diarrhea. Not sure if it'll work out the same for you, but I want to share in case it does. Not entirely sure if it worked for me in regards to my condition."

Tinidazole for Bacterial Vaginosis "My insurance covered some, but good thing Tindamax gives a discount card for prescription. I have suffered with bacterial vaginitis off and on for 4 years. Finally got a prescription for Tindamax, and it was the only thing that cleared it up for a few weeks. When my period came, the bacterial vaginitis came back! On round 2 of Tindamax now. Hopefully, it gets rid of it for good. 4 pills, 2 days. I get a really nasty metallic taste and nausea, but the few weeks I was without bacterial vaginitis, it was definitely worth it!"
