For Bacterial Vaginosis "My doctor gave me tinidazole yesterday, instructed me to take all 4 pills, and would clear up in 24 to 48 hours. So far, it's just the metallic taste in my mouth and sleepy, but symptoms seem to be subsiding."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I started to take this after the metrogel, and the pills weren't working for me. My doctor gave me 4 pills of the tinidazole to take twice a day. The first day was okay, but the second, I felt very fatigued and sleepy. I decided to drink coffee, and that actually made it worse (I started really getting nauseous). My symptoms cleared up the next day, that's why I think it's still better than the other meds. Also, you don't have to take it for a whole week."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I was so nervous about taking this medication because of the possible side effects and because it was such a large dose (2g/4 pills taken at once per day for 2 days), but it was totally fine and I had barely any side effects! My symptoms started going away on the second day and were completely gone by the next. I made sure to eat a heavy meal (spaghetti and bread followed by a cup of almond milk) before taking the 4 pills both nights. I never felt nauseous, but I did feel very sleepy within 2 hours...slept for almost 12 hrs both nights and didn't want to get out of bed for work the next day. Once I started the day, I felt fine all day, almost forgot I was on them. Had a slight metallic taste in my mouth the next morning but used lifesaver candies to cover it up. I avoided all lotions and makeup products that had traces of alcohol to make sure I didn't have any chance of a reaction. I liked that it was only 2 days of taking antibiotics rather than a week to 10 days."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I get BV every few months because I have the Mirena. I've used the Metro pills and gel, they don't work. I took this (4 pills x 2 days). It made me feel so sleepy and dizzy when I woke up the next day, I had to call out of work! It made me that sick. So my doctor prescribed 2 pills daily for 7 days. On my third day, I haven't gotten any symptoms from the medicine yet. Hope this time it will clear it up finally for good..."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "If I could give this a negative star, I would! WORST side effects ever! So sleepy, don't want to do anything and can't keep anything down! I finished my two days of 4 pills, and on the second day, I started feeling very sick, and now it's the day after, and I can't keep anything down, extremely nauseous, thrown up 5 times! Please eat a LARGE meal before taking this!"

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I had my appointment on Monday at 4 p.m. Was diagnosed with BV and was prescribed 500 mg pills to take twice a day for 5 days. I took one that evening. On Tuesday evening (after 2 pills) I had a headache and metallic taste. I took the 3rd pill that night. This morning I woke up with heartburn and still a headache. Now I'm on pill 4 and my vagina is itchy and I'm sleepy. I'm going to take a Zyrtec."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "It works! I took Tindamax, 2-day dosing, 4 pills on the first day, 4 pills the second day, and yes, it made me very sick. I was sleepy, fatigue, nausea, headache, it was horrible, and that metal taste is totally disgusting. It made everything taste nasty for 4 days, but the medication started working immediately, within hours after I took the first dose. My advice to you is, if you are prescribed this medication, you may want to take time off of work just so that you can deal with your symptoms."
