For Constipation "Glad I didn’t see these reviews before I took it! I typically have IBS-D, and after being constipated for the first time, I would take diarrhea any day over constipation. It feels awful. My intestines are super sensitive, so I was scared to take anything. I took the Senokot gummies. First night didn’t have much movement the next day, but it helped a little. (I only took 2 to watch out for side effects, and the dosage is 4.) Second day, took 4 and it helped! Minimal cramps, but nothing intolerable. Cleaned me out, I’m so grateful! I feel so much better!"

For Constipation "I took a generic sennosides pill. My doctor gave me them as a prescription to help me save money. I was hesitant because I didn't know if I was allergic to it. I took a pill with a sip of soda to get it down. Constipation is uncomfortable, I have been on and off constipated for 2 weeks. I took the pill, and it has been almost an hour. I had a small stool and then more, so far, the hard stool is slowly passing through. I am cramping, so I hope this speeds things up. I am happy, it is moving along at a good pace."

Senna for Constipation "The pink Senokot for women is far gentler than the rest of the Senokot brands. Does its job overnight and does not cause severe cramping or pain. Don't believe the negative reviews. Constant severe constipation might mean you need a colonoscopy to rule out other issues like polyps, adenomas, and stricture. Also, drinking water is very important. But eating fiber bulks up your stool, making constipation worse. Try things like bananas, chicken, rice, bread, food without too much fiber. Caffeine and pain meds will add to your constipation as well."

For Constipation "Some of the experiences on here must be extreme. I have used senna throughout the years and don't always find it does anything, let alone make me sick, dizzy, or crampy. I purchased max strength (max one tab in 24 hrs) yesterday and took some last night. Nothing really happened at all until 11 pm this evening. I passed a bit, but nowhere near the 5 days I haven't been able to go. I did have some cramps when actually going, but that's fairly normal for me with my IBS."

For Constipation "I was given Senna to take after surgery in case I was constipated afterwards. I took it two days later and was fine all day. Went to bed. Woke up with severe cramps, went to the bathroom, and the cramps were so bad I was in tears! Started throwing up the green stuff from the Senna. Did that like three different times throughout the night. I was in pain with cramps until the next morning. I had my husband go get a Fleet enema. But before he got back so I could use it, all heck broke loose and still had the cramp, although not as bad until the next night. Please be careful before considering the Senna."

For Constipation "After taking senna for constipation, the next evening I started having cramps. Then the cramps worsened (scale of 1-10, pain was a 9). My stomach was making gurgling noises, so I tried to sleep it off. However, the cramps were so bad, they were waking me up every 2-3 minutes. About 2 a.m., I felt very cold and started shaking and realized that I had the chills. I made my way to the bathroom, so I could take a hot shower and bring my body temperature back up, but then I started to feel nauseous. I was heaving and gagging, but didn't have any food in my system. Then I got the chills the second day again. I sat out in the sun to warm myself up, but I started gagging and throwing up outside. It's been 3 days and I still feel slight cramping and I'm still not 100%. Sometimes I feel like I have a slight fever and my stomach is still extended. Never again..."

For Constipation "1st time I took a pill, that was OK. 2nd time I had Aliviolas syrup, has cassia, same thing as senna, omg, 24 hours later I still have cramps, had a bowel movement but it wasn't worth the side effects. NO WAY, EVER AGAIN."

For Constipation "I will never ever use this laxative ever again. PLEASE STAY AWAY. I had constipation on Friday, took two tablets. It’s now the following week - Thursday night, and every night I have been waking up with excruciating abdominal pain, to the point of vomiting and not being able to move (much). I thought the cramps were due to my Nexplanon, I had even contacted my family doctor to figure out what is wrong. Only to my surprise, he had noted the Senokot. He’s advised me to take another laxative (which I will), but even almost a week later, and I cannot get a good night's sleep without terribly night-waking cramps and running to the bathroom to only pass little to nothing. Please spare yourself from this drug."

For Constipation "I was diagnosed with a kidney stone. Pain meds caused constipation. Took Senna-S, two tablets early AM first day... drank lots of water... nothing. Took a second pill at bedtime, next morning... nothing. Took two more pills the next morning for a total of 5, and I am so cramped up I cannot lay down. No relief for 7 days. I hoped this would work, but the cramping, combined with the kidney stone is unbearable. Going to the pharmacy for something more aggressive to end the misery. If you can afford to wait for Senna-S to work, good for you. If you have a kidney stone and are on pain meds, don't waste what little comfort you can get."

Senna for Constipation "While I was on vacation in Malaysia, I took Senokot because I was constipated. Four pills before I was going to bed were enough to make me sick for three entire days: cramps, severe migraine, dizziness, vomiting two times, difficult breathing... PLEASE don't take this ever!!"

For Constipation "I took senna as a laxative - haha, it's anything but a laxative. I took a lot of senna tablets over 2 days, and it has done nothing but give me severe cramps and vomiting. I wouldn't use this again."

Senna for Constipation "I took two tablets, six hours later, I’m having awful cramps and constant diarrhea. Luckily, I’m not going out today. I’ll never take them again."
For Constipation "Bought this yesterday. I took 2 pills around 4 something. Three hours later, I started getting little small cramps, then they gradually got worse. I woke up in the middle of the night to have a bowel movement, and it was nothing but water. I suffer from constipation. I also took this medicine with 2 bottles of water, and it still was causing bad cramps. Very uncomfortable. I wouldn’t buy this again!"
