For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Ozempic last June. I switched to Wegovy in September. My starting weight was 216.8 pounds at 5’6”, and I’m a 50-year-old post-menopausal woman. In 9 months, I’m down to 148.2 pounds (-68 lbs; almost 35%), and went from a size 16 to a size 8. Could only take 1.0 due to kidneys not functioning normally when upped to 1.7. I do not have time to work out. I thought it would be hard to give myself a shot, but it’s so easy! Absolutely amazing! Side effects are limited appetite and sleep (especially the first couple of days after the shot), nausea (especially when brushing teeth or smelling things), and hair loss (started more around month 6). But no other diet worked after menopause and stress for over 10 years. I love my new body (something I have NEVER said)! Will stay on it forever! Excited for warmer weather and outside activities (and the strength to do things)!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Don't use it! After having this, I was in bed for 6 days and had to go to the hospital to get hydration due to the risk to my kidneys. I felt as though this was a poison going through my body and almost immediately felt nauseous and could not keep anything down. Don't do it."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Wegovy definitely works if you can tolerate being nauseated all the time; it takes away cravings for everything. I had to force myself to eat. Fast forward 4 weeks on meds, I ended up getting the sickest I have ever been in my life! Thought I had the stomach flu for 4 days, but it just kept getting worse. Ended up in the ER with an inflamed liver, kidneys, severe kidney infection, urinary tract infection, and dehydrated. I would do anything to lose weight because I need a knee replacement and the doctor wants me to lose 30 pounds before he will operate. This scared me, BAD. I still don’t feel 100%. Anyway, who doesn’t want to lose weight, right? Well, after my experience, this is just not worth it. By the way, I have never had any issues with kidney, liver, etc. It was from this drug."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Wegovy in October at the lowest possible dosage and worked up to 1.7 by February. I had no side effects and very slowly lost weight, which I was fine with. I lost 35 pounds in six months. However, oddly enough, after five weeks at 1.7 with no side effects, I became quite ill. I started having the sulfur belches, followed by vomiting and severe diarrhea. I went to urgent care. They said it was a normal response and to take anti-diarrhea meds. I did. It got worse, to the point of diarrhea every 15-20 minutes. After six days of this, I went to the emergency room. They admitted me. I spent nine days in the hospital with severe dehydration, which caused my kidneys and pancreas to start shutting down. Docs felt I had a separate bacterial bug not caused by my shots. I was finally able to go home. My doctor had me start back at a safer .25 dose. I did, but immediately got sick again. I think I need to stop these meds, sadly, as they did originally help me, but I can’t go on this way."
