"Been taking Wegovy for 6 months now. I've had absolutely no side effects, but on the other side of the coin, I'm still waiting for it to work. Maybe in the beginning it helped a little, but after the first month, the dosage started to go up and, of course, got more expensive. I'm currently on 2.75, and it's not having any effect at all. I lost a couple of pounds at the start, but honestly, I'd put that down to willpower. It's had no effect on my appetite at all. I don't know what all the fuss is about. I've decided to stop taking it because it's so expensive. The only plus is it was easy to use and not painful. So my rating is going to be just 1."

"I took Ozempic previously and lost 35 lbs. Unfortunately, my insurance stopped covering it. I am now taking Wegovy and have been for seven weeks. I have since lost a grand total of four pounds. Yes, FOUR. When I was on Ozempic, I had lost twice that amount by the seventh week. I have been exercising and changed my eating habits as well. FOUR pounds. While on Ozempic, I ate what I wanted and did not exercise. Not sure of the difference, but I am quite frustrated. This stuff isn’t cheap!"

"The first four weeks on the .25 dose I lost a few pounds. The next 8 weeks on the .5 dosage I lost about 5 lbs, but then I plateaued and my weight actually increased. My Dr. increased the dosage to 1.0, which I have been on for the last 10 days. I have not lost any more weight. My opinion is that this drug may be helpful to some, it didn't help me. I was buying the drug from Novo Care at a cost of $500 per four doses and have spent a total of $2,000 to date. I have 2 doses in the refrigerator, but I am not going to use them. What I realized was a 12 lb weight loss, severe lethargy, stomach discomfort, and severe constipation. Conclusion: Not worth the money or effort. The side effects far outweigh the benefits."

"I started this medication about 4 months ago and have lost almost 40 lbs on it. That was great until my last dosage increase that sent me to the hospital for almost a week with little to no motility in my entire gut and pain like I have never experienced. I couldn’t keep any food down or liquids and had to be on an IV for five days straight. This medication started out working great for me with the occasional vomiting and upset stomach. I think this medication truthfully should be taken off the market for how much damage it can create, but like I said it is not for everyone, and is certainly not for me. Best advice I can give is to listen to your body!!"

"Switched to Wegovy because insurance would no longer cover Mounjaro. After a year of slow and steady decline in weight on Mounjaro with little to no side effects, Wegovy stalled my progress. I lost nothing, felt nauseous, was constipated, and burpy. It reintroduced cravings for foods I had little interest in during Mounjaro. I was hungry (peckish) most of the day. I regained 5 lbs in 6 months, reversing my previous downtrend. I was on the max dose. I have friends who, at the same time, were successful in losing weight."

"It’s my second week on 0.25 mg, I’ve lost 8.8 pounds in 8 days. Agree the first couple of days was water retention but I see it in my face and reduced belly fat. First day I had a headache but not really suffered any of the side effects as such. I have RA and in the first few days the swelling in my hands and knees has reduced significantly. I feel from an RA point of view the best I’ve felt in years in such a short time."

"I have been on Wegovy for 6 months. I am on the highest dosage now. It has not been a pleasant journey. I feel sick probably half the time. The worst side effect for me is constipation. I poop every 4th or 5th day. I get horrible cramps. I have only vomited 3 or 4 times. I’m waiting for the side effects to go away. I am going to stay on it for a year and re-evaluate if the side effects are worth it. I have never had chemotherapy, but I think this has similar side effects. I have lost 1 pound a week, so about 28 lbs."

"I've been taking Wegovy since September (2024). I initially did not like the way it made me feel. I was experiencing constipation, headaches, and nausea. My next dose was 0.50, which the pharmacy was out of until this past April 2025. I was determined to see if I could withstand the side effects. My appetite was suppressed immediately. I experienced constipation, which I counteracted with stool softeners every day. I took Zofran for the nausea. I had started riding my stationary bike around the same time that I started Wegovy. On April 17th, 2025, I started walking 30 minutes a day. I am now at a 1.7 dose. Side effects are minimal. I noticed that if I am constipated, I would get nauseous. Stay away from heavy grease. I consume a protein shake every morning and try to eat meat as much as I can as I do not really have a taste for meat or I no longer like alcohol. I am happy that I tried it again. I am 6'1" and was 283. I am 266. I want to be 240. Yay!"

"This medicine is life-changing! I have never felt more healthy physically and mentally. Food no longer controls my life. I eat to fuel my body and want to choose healthier options. I don't waste the little I do eat on empty calories. I'm not beating myself up for not having any willpower or making bad choices, and I'm not ashamed of the way I look. My knees don't hurt and I haven't been sick (cold or flu) much, if at all. The injection is painless, easy to administer, and so quick. I have not experienced any side effects.
