"From blood tests done, I know that Evenity has increased my retention of bone, bone building took place in the first 2 months. I have a severe headache for 1-2 days after getting the injections. I also have increased stiffness that is 24/7."

"I am getting my 3rd Evenity treatment next week. I am happy I am able to receive this drug. The side effects have been very tolerable- a bit fatigued after the first injections. I thought the injections would be more painful, they are not."

"I have had three Evenity injections so far. I have a history of spinal compression fractures. I am a two-time cancer survivor (breast cancer and endometrial cancer). At present, I am cancer-free. After all of my Evenity injections, I have had the same reaction - about 10 hours after treatment, I develop shaking chills, a low-grade fever, and nausea. And then, after about 12 hours past my injections, I feel fine. That is the only side effect that I have had!"

"Closing in on my fourth injection, but having multiple issues. I have just been diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia. Now having to take gabapentin to manage those symptoms. My IBS, diagnosed in my 20s, but under control for over 30 years, has returned with a vengeance. Nothing in my diet or life has changed except the addition of Evenity. Imodium is my friend... another drug to combat the Evenity side effects. This morning, I experienced a weird episode while showering. Uncomfortable, radiating pain under my left shoulder blade, slowly spreading up my back/neck. It has subsided, and I have an appointment tomorrow with my GP. I feel like the Evenity is working, and the pain in my spine, where my fracture occurred and recurred, has greatly diminished. I don't want to stop yet."

"I took Leah for 8 years, and there was no change for better or for worse. My rheumatologist suggested that I start taking Evenity, and I have had three injections. I believe I feel stronger. I'm very fortunate because I always react well to medications. I still have nine more injections to complete, and hopefully, it'll do its job. I took two injections earlier for 8 years, and at the end of the eight years, the X-rays showed no improvement. My rheumatologist suggested that I switch to Evenity for a year. Thus far, I have had three injections, and it seems to me that I feel stronger. I have had no side effects. I received an injection of Evenity monthly and have had no side effects so far. Everything seems fine, but I am uncomfortable recommending anything to anyone. Listen to your doctor and follow his or her advice."

"I am 63 and was on Prolia, which caused me pain. I switched to Evenity. I just had my third injection. Yes, the injections hurt, but if they warm up, it's not as bad. But after the 2nd and 3rd injection, I have developed a knot that is so painful in one arm. I can't lift either arm after injections for days. But I was wondering if anyone experiences the lower back pain with Evenity. I have had days where I couldn't move in the morning without excruciating pain. And I do experience headaches. Hoping when I get a Dexa, it shows improvement because what I am experiencing is not pleasant."

"I got a rash on my arms and shins after 5 months of injections. Just had my 9th injection and still have a rash. Didn’t realize it was probably caused by Evenity. My dermatologist couldn’t figure out what was causing it. Sent me to an allergist."

"I am 56 years old and post-menopausal - no hormone therapy of any kind. Symptoms of menopause were and are mild. I am very lucky. I take Veozah for the hot flashes only. First bone scan in June of 2024 showed signs of bone loss. I am thin and have always been very healthy. My doctor told me that I was a good candidate for Evenity. Use discount card. It did take a couple of months to get approved by my insurance. I started the monthly injection in August. Side effects include slight discomfort (two shots in the abdomen) at the injection site and a mild rash (raised and itchy) on my torso and back that lasts for a couple of weeks after the shots. It is bothersome but tolerable. I hope I can get through the series of 12 shots without anything further. Everyone is different, I don't like to take medication but understand sometimes we have to, but the side effects can be a big deterrent. I hope I don't have any additional side effects going forward. I will take Prolia to sustain the bone growth."

"Just had my 4th injection. I had been on Prolia the last five years. It’s too early to say how it’s working. I’m wondering now if the very itchy rash I’ve had on my shoulders, back, neck, and scalp the past couple of months I originally thought was my skin lupus (but isn’t responding to the meds) is really from Evenity. I’m going to check into it this week."

"Lightheadedness after different locations of the shot used. Diarrhea for at least two months or longer. Passing clear, shiny mucus. Excessive gas. Today, passing green discharge. 3/28/2025. Sixth shot a week and a half ago. Off and on, I do think it’s working."

"After reading several negative reviews, I was nervous to begin Evenity in January 2024, but was pleasantly surprised with pretty much no side effects. The shots do hurt/burn, but that only lasts a few seconds. I took Tylenol and drank plenty of water on the day of my injections and felt fine except for being very tired. I took afternoon naps, and by the next day, I felt completely normal. My bone density increased by 9.1% in the lumbar spine and 7.9% in the femoral neck. Still classified as osteopenia, but I am happy there has been some improvement. I will be starting Reclast infusions next month."

"The first three infusions by arm swelled up at the injection site and were bright red. Then my ankles, up to about midcalf, swelled up as well. I have some ankle swelling that now has not gone down. That was a result of the injections. I also had fatigue the first three months after the injections, but after that, it subsided."

"I am one year post-Evenity and just had my first after-treatment DEXA scan. While there was minimal improvement in the lumbar spine score, my hip improved 8.5%, and my femoral neck improved an astounding 32.5%. So I suppose that the injections did bring some positive results despite the misery I experienced during the therapy. I am religiously taking calcium/vitamin D every day in addition to Evista, being determined to stay away from those bone-improving meds with the more horrible side effects (osteonecrosis of the jawbone, etc.). In conclusion, I have to admit that while Evenity does pose serious health risks and side effects, it does appear to improve bone health. We will have to wait to see if it is maintainable or if the improvements wane with the passage of time."

"I began Evenity injections in September. In October, I developed a UTI, LPR - a type of reflux, and painful sores on my tongue. During the last 8 months, I have had 4 UTIs, the LPR is being mildly managed, and after going to an oral surgeon, I learned that the tongue sores are lingual tonsils, which are part of the lymphatic system, and these eruptions indicate a possible viral or bacterial infection - since October. The lymph nodes in my neck enlarged. Two weeks ago, my GP did a complete CBC, and the results showed a viral or bacterial infection. Lymph nodes still swollen, and I developed a yeast infection. Yesterday, I had my 8th Evenity injection. About 10 hours later, my tongue has erupted in many angry blisters. Last month, I decided to quit the shots. My doctor says Evenity does not even kick in until after the 6th injection! I chose to continue, but now this. I'm looking for a doctor who can get to the bottom of this. I've had cancer 2 times, and I do worry that this infection could lead to something else."

"I finished the twelve shots in March 2025. I did seem to have a few side effects here and there. I had a new Dexa scan and discovered Evenity did not help me much. I wanted to ask if anyone else did not have success with Evenity. I had a Reclast at the hospital infusion center. The nurses said it is common to hear that Evenity did not work. I would love to hear comments from patients with poor results from Evenity. One side effect was the bottom of my feet hurt, and it was somewhat painful to walk. I was determined to continue hiking and walking during treatment and did that while trying to ignore the bottom of the feet being painful. After stopping the shots, the pain in the bottom of the feet has gone away. The recommendation will not let you choose anything but Yes or No. My recommendation is maybe."

"No side effects during the first 6 months of treatment. After injections 7 and 8, some muscle pain in shoulder and thigh for some days. Density of backbone went up from -3.7 to -2.7 after 6 months, in thigh bones, there was slight improvement."
