For Migraine Prevention "At first, I thought this was a miracle drug. I had zero problems and interactions. I have terrible migraines, and this made them go away immediately and kept them away. However, after about three weeks of taking it every other day, I started having horrible heartburn. Or at least I think it was heartburn. My chest was tight, and I felt just generally awful. I thought maybe I got a cold or something, so I stopped taking it for a week just to make sure that wasn't what was causing it. I got better. And then I started taking it again a few days later, and I have the same symptoms again. Again, I'm not sure if it's just pain or indigestion, so I'm going to go talk to my doctor next week. I'm just testing this here to see if anyone else is having that sort of chest pain. It feels somewhat similar to Imitrex."

For Migraine "I get hormonal headaches near my time of the month. They come on at night and can last several days. They usually start in my temples and involve neck stiffness. On day one, I took two rizatriptan, and it just made me nauseated and exhausted with no relief. On day two, I decided to give my Nurtec sample a test run. My headache was gone in an hour and hasn’t come back yet. I’m not groggy at all and I haven’t noticed any GI side effects. I haven’t really had any major side effects. Not sure if it’s just PMS, but my shoulders and hands are a little fatigued, but not enough to bother me."

For Migraine "I recently tried Nurtec ODT (rimegepant) for my migraines, and while it did relieve my migraine, the side effects made it difficult to justify taking it again. I want to share my experience to help others decide if it’s the right option for them. 1. Effective Migraine Relief I’ll give Nurtec credit where it’s due—it worked for my migraine. Within about 1-2 hours, the pain significantly reduced, and I was able to function again. The relief lasted for over a day, which was impressive. 2. Severe Nausea & Stomach Pain The downside? The nausea hit me hard. Shortly after taking it, I felt waves of stomach discomfort and queasiness that lasted for hours. I tried taking it with food, but it didn’t seem to help much. The stomach pain made it difficult to enjoy the relief from my migraine. 3. Lingering Fatigue Even after the nausea faded, I felt drained and sluggish for the rest of the day. It was almost like a migraine hangover."

For Migraine "Side effects are worse than Imitrex, and the taste is awful. If this actually worked, I may have been able to deal with the fatigue, stomach pain, and nausea, but alas, it’s like popping a horribly flavored breath mint with no effect on headaches! No thanks."

For Migraine "I could feel a migraine coming, so I took the sample that was given to me. I took it for the first time at work around 1 pm, got off, and went home to immediately lay down, because I was super fatigued. I got up at 5:30, by 9 pm, I was trying hard to keep my eyes open. I ended up passing out and not waking up until 4 pm the next day. This is extremely uncommon for me because I’m a single mother, and I have to get stuff done on the weekends, like cleaning, yard work, etc., so now I have wasted an entire beautiful Saturday. My headache didn’t go away for about an hour, but then I could feel it creeping back. Then I slept for a crazy amount of hours and feel fine. It’s the fatigue for me. Glad I didn’t take it on a workday."

For Migraine "I was given Nurtec to try for migraine relief. I have tension headaches that lead into migraines. I was told by my provider to take Nurtec when I started to feel like a migraine was coming on, and this should help prevent it from getting worse. I took the first dose and immediately started belching, then the nausea started and turned into extreme and violent vomiting that lasted at least for hours. After the vomiting stopped, the diarrhea started. It lasted for a few days after the first dose. I became very dehydrated, experienced muscle weakness, heart palpitations, dizziness, fatigue, brain fog, and sensitivity to heat. Those symptoms lasted several days after the first dose. I also experienced pain on the left side of my neck behind my ear. Due to all of the severe symptoms I had with the first dose, I will not be taking Nurtec again. However, it did help the migraine from getting worse and did stop the migraine within a couple of hours."

For Migraine "Not a long time migraine sufferer but have had headaches my entire life (I am 33). This year has been horrible for migraines. I originally tried sumatriptan, but the doctor said Nurtec has fewer side effects. So far, it has taken the migraine away in about 30 minutes - 60 minutes. However, about 2-3 hours in, I get caught with a giant bout of fatigue. The kind where you can't keep your eyes open. Fatigue seems to be a common side effect for me, but some medicines are less than others. Good luck."
