For Migraine "I was prescribed Nurtec in 2020. I was skeptical at first but decided to try it. My migraine was really bad, and I had a difficult time opening the packaging, especially being in that much pain. My migraine went away quickly, and I started to feel better. When my migraines quickly came on, I would take one. I am now on my third pack of 8 pills. Now when I take one, my stomach hurts really bad, almost like ulcer pain. I know it is the pill because as soon as I take it, within an hour, I now get a gnawing sensation in my stomach. It lasts all day long and even into the next day. Prilosec will calm it down. Now that I am now getting pains in my stomach, I am now getting diarrhea from Nurtec. I usually never have diarrhea. Now I am starting to question if this medication is safe for my stomach and what it is doing to the lining of my stomach. I will only take this medication now if the migraine won’t subside in a day or two."

For Migraine Prevention "I’ve had migraines since I was a kid. They’ve continued to worsen with age. Most months, I was experiencing 23-25 days with severe migraine with aura, light sensitivity, nausea, aching body, stomach upset, sensitivity to smell and sound, dizziness, numbness in my face, and horrific stabbing pain on the left side of my head. I tried everything, including chiropractic treatment, antidepressants, exercise, topiramate, ice, hormones, magnesium, B vitamins, etc. Nurtec as a preventative has been a godsend. It gave me my life back. Now I just have to fight with insurance every so often to keep it. I have maybe two migraines a month now, and they’re nothing at all like they were. So thankful."

For Migraine Prevention "This is the only thing that has slowed down and stopped many of my migraines. Have had them for 25 years following 7 months of birth control pills. Take it once every other day, dissolve under my tongue. Since I had serious allergic reactions to ibuprofen, Zomig, Imitrex, Ajovy shots, and Botox, I was scared to try this, but couldn't handle the side effects of the Botox anymore. Chronic fatigue is no way to live with your head still hurting. Been on it since September 2021. With my IBS, tummy issues were expected, so I always take it with food. Have had no side effects that noticeably pointed to Nurtec. Getting better, was able to start walking this summer, up to 3 miles. Migraines have changed, so can have painless ones, but they still stop. No complaints after going over a year with a non-stop migraine. Still have the menstrual migraine ones periodically that don't stop and last for days, but in my early 50s so hormones are going to be crazy."

For Migraine "I’m on my third pack of this medication. I've used it at least 30 times. It works pretty fast-within an hour my migraine is gone. However, today for the first time, about 4 hours after taking the tablet, the migraine is gone, but I started experiencing really bad stomach cramps, diarrhea, and dizziness. I will wait it out and see. I hope this is just a coincidence since it was saving me from excruciating pain until now. The last migraine that I had went for 7 days straight, 24 hours, and sent me to the ER as I just couldn’t take the pain. Overall, I would rather have the cramps and stomach pain than my horrific migraine."

For Migraine Prevention "I've been taking it for a couple of years now. It definitely keeps them away if I take it in time. It bothers my stomach, and I think it affects my moods. But overall, I feel it's worth it. Hopefully, there's no major negative long-term effects from it because, as long as I'm covered, I will continue to take."

For Migraine "This morning, I took Nurtec for the first time. I was awakened by the start of a migraine. Since nausea is listed as one of the effects, I made sure to eat something, like a piece of bread, before taking the medication. After waiting for a short while, I took the Nurtec. Well, my headache had disappeared by the time I arrived at work thirty minutes later. No nausea, no acid reflux, no stomach ache. I find that something light like a slice of bread, or crackers, can help prevent or reduce issues caused by some medications. Nurtec worked!"

For Migraine "This med has worked VERY well for me for over a year now. I have not had to endure a multi-day tension migraine, which usually ends up bent over the toilet 3 or 4 times since I started it. I could not afford the copay from my insurance, so this company helped me out with it. Can't thank them enough. Only reason I am leaving this feedback. It's been a lifesaver for me. I do not have to take it but maybe 4 or 5 times a month. My only side effects are stomach upset and some restless leg syndrome."

For Migraine Prevention "Less than 24 hrs, it gives me stomach issues and can’t be far from the bathroom. From overly soft stools to diarrhea. Not worth me continuing to take it when I am miserable with my stomach."

For Migraine "This is the 1st negative review of a medicine. For me, this Nurtec ODT medicine never touched my migraine. Actually, my lips and tongue felt as if they had been sprinkled with cayenne pepper, but never swelled. Then, the metallic taste came on. Everything I tried to eat tasted horrible. After that, the stomach cramps and pooping began. Beware of this medicine. Maybe it will work for you, but I had a bad experience and will not use again."
