"My goodness, started this a week ago. Stop, then started again, tight chest. Bad acid, stomach pains. And the deepest headache. Cannot not take another one. So where does it lead me? Hurry. Up, bring the new injection from America, better than pills."

"I have been on pravastatin (1 mg) every other day for close to a year, and it worked well without any side effects, but eventually, it stopped working, and my doctor upped my dose to (2 mg) every other day for the past 2 months. At first, I thought everything was good until I started experiencing upper thigh weakness. I couldn’t wrap my head around why this weakness was happening, it was severe. I couldn’t exercise or walk up and down steps because my thighs felt like they were going to give out on me. I also started having breathlessness and an abnormal amount of tiredness. To be fair, I also have no thyroid and suffer from Psoriatic Arthritis, so I wasn’t thinking pravastatin was causing my weird issues UNTIL the next day when my upper thigh weakness, breathlessness, and weird tiredness went away and then came back when I took the pravastatin again. It’s still crazy that I had zero issues with (1 mg) and a ton of issues with (2 mg). I have failed every statin I’ve been on."

"Pravastatin lowered my LDL to healthy levels, so it's good in that regard. It did not make any impact on my HDL or triglycerides. The only side effect I encountered was difficulty falling asleep, however, I had this same side effect with Lipitor as well. I also take an SSRI, and both statins seemed to have some sort of interaction with my SSRI, which I think may be the cause of the insomnia. I don't think insomnia is normally a side effect."
