Pramipexole for Restless Legs Syndrome "I was taking Clonazepam, then my doc suggested Pramipexole, as it is non-habit forming. It certainly took care of my restless legs, but I woke up with headaches and went to sleep with headaches. Indigestion was also a side effect, so much so that I was constantly very bloated and did not feel well for the month I took Pramipexole. The positives were that my RSL was non-existent, and I did not feel tired in the a.m. As a matter of fact, I was able to get up 2 hours earlier every day. Don't know why that happened, but it was nice to not feel so sleepy in the morning. Now I'm back on Clonazepam, and I'm not sure if I'm that happy with it this time around. Is there anything else to try?"

For Restless Legs Syndrome "I took this drug for the first time last night for my RLS. It was the worst night I have had in a long time. I was hot and sweaty all night, I threw up twice and only got a couple hours of sleep. The headache I have is terrible. I will not be using this again."

For Restless Legs Syndrome "I have been taking Sifrol for 4 months for RLS caused by another med I'm on. It certainly worked. I've just weaned off it after speaking to a pharmacist (don't they often know way more than doctors, by the way?) who said I could try magnesium tablets/day for RLS, as he had many patients who had success with this. Thinking it would not work, I tried it, and to my amazement, it worked the very first night. I realize everyone is different, and it may or may not work for you. I'm experiencing severe withdrawals from Sifrol, the most disturbing is insomnia. I'm getting about 2 hours of sleep a night. Also foggy-headed, angry, and dizzy, headaches. For goodness' sake, GPs please, please, please don't just stick us on meds when you haven't done your research on less harmful things that may help. Yes, I'm angry... but grateful to have found that pharmacist. Once these withdrawals are over, I'll be even more grateful."

Pramipexole for Parkinson's Disease "I tried it for one day, and the side effects made me bedridden for almost 2 days. I felt so nauseous and extremely drowsy. Had a headache and then felt weak. I can't take this again."

Pramipexole for Restless Legs Syndrome "I only suffer from RLS at night. I took carbidopa-levodopa for about 1 year, and then it was no longer enough. My doctor told me to try Requip. I took one pill and had the worst headache ever, even the next morning, and my jaw and teeth hurt horribly. I read reviews on Mirapex and asked my doctor if I could try it. I've been on it for 3 months with no side effects and can rest all night with zero movement. Before, my husband said I would run all night in bed. Mirapex is a wonderful drug for RLS. I'm so thankful I discovered it!"
