"I've used Xiidra and cyclosporine for years with moderate success. Miebo made my eyes feel better in a few weeks. Too bad that they are so hard to use, the size of the drop is about 1/3 the size of other drops and makes it difficult to use. My first bottle (supposed to last 1 month) lasts 2 weeks. ($185 copay) $1,285.00 retail."

"I have been using Miebo since Jan 1, 2025, and it is a great product. However, Bausch & Lomb states that the perfluorohexyloctane drop expelled from the bottle will be 1/3 to 1/5 the size of a regular drop in other eye drop bottles. B&L states that each 1 mL = 90 drops, or 270 drops total in the 3 mL bottle. This has not been the case for me at all, and even though I am diligently trying to make sure not to waste any drug, I am finding that some drops will hit my eye and bounce so that some of the fluid is on my eyelid and wasted. Several bottles have had a small (estimated 1/4 mL) amount left in the bottle that does not come out, and I have to discard the bottle with some Miebo still inside. So during a 3-month Rx, I am running out about 2-3 weeks early each and every time. I feel that B&L should either put 3.5 mL in each bottle to cover 'wastage' or not insist that 90 drops are in each bottle, as I would estimate more like 75-80 is correct. This med is too expensive at $780/bottle!"

"I have tried many others, but Miebo is the only one for me. So perfect, and I love it. Only issue is the size of the bottle that is supposed to last 1 month. Using a drop four times a day as directed will simply not work for me. Being very careful and using it as directed, I can only get 17 days out of it. I am concerned that my pharmacy may not give me refills as I need them due to the manufacturer saying that it will last a month."

"Agree with the others, the bottle is too small, and I’m terrible at giving myself eye drops, but I will tell you that it takes at least six weeks for it to actually work. But when it does, oh my gosh, what an amazing difference it has made!"

"After taking Miebo for 2 1/2 weeks, my eyes started to burn. Badly. That was yesterday, and today they’re still burning, but not as bad. Also, they feel swollen, although they are not. My eye doctor is calling me tomorrow about this. Maybe taking less?"

"Agree with others that the amount in the bottle is not enough for 4 applications per day for 1 month. It’s difficult to use per the instructions, and mine ran out with a week to go. Might try using only 3 times a day. Don’t know if it’s more important to use numerous times a day or for the full month."

"Have had the same experience as many others - drops really work, but no way does that small bottle last as long as it should - only lasts about 1/2-2/3 of the time it is supposed to. Sometimes a big drop is dispensed and sometimes very little. When there is just a little left, nothing comes out at all. Am super careful following the directions, but never works to make it last. Miebo insists that the product is meant to last for the month. Not sure what planet they are broadcasting from!!!"

"I feel like it may help my chronic dry eye condition, however, the bottle is much too small, not user-friendly, and seems to be a lot of product waste, especially for the price, when our insurance company won’t cover it. I feel like I’m getting headaches from it, unfortunately. Wonder if it can be refrigerated?"

"I’ve used Miebo for six months and consider it a miracle. My doctor addressed the application issue from the beginning and told me to just get ‘a bit’ in-and not to worry if ‘full drop’ didn’t get in. I used four times a day initially but have improved so much that morning and night applications now suffice. My vision has improved dramatically and grit is gone. I’m beyond grateful to be able to read again!"

"For people with MGD, this drug works well but is a temporary fix and you will need to buy the drug for the rest of your life. The problem is that the glands have closed up so oil can’t flow into your eyes and keep the tears on your eye. Find an ophthalmologist that does meibomian gland probing for about $800 per eyelid. It resolves the oil gland problem. That procedure with Restasis to treat my GVHD has been a lifesaver."

"I experienced some relief from the first time I tried it, but the dropper bottle needs to be changed. I’ve wasted more of the product than I’ve been able to use."

"The eye drops are excellent but the delivery system is very challenging. Often I end up with product under my eyes instead of in them. Given the price this is very frustrating."

"It is definitely the best product on the market for dry eyes. My problem is I keep running out before the 30 days is up. Can they make a larger container, such as regular eye drop containers."

"Tried a sample for one month. It worked great, but unfortunately the cheapest I could get it was $100.00 for a 30-day supply. That's not affordable for me."

"I have only been using it a short period of time. I really like it. The bottle is way too small. I'm supposed to take it 4 times a day, it will never last a month if I use it as prescribed."

"While I like the drops and they help me a lot, I get upset every time I use them because they run out of the eyes no matter how I twist my neck to make them stay in. It is a pity to waste so much of this very expensive product!"
