For Hyperhidrosis "I have been on this medication for about 2 weeks, and it is a real life changer!! I have to say, though, that I first got Oxybutynin XL and that didn’t help at all. So when I went back to my doctor, she said that I probably needed the normal Oxybutynin. The one with XL is for extended release, and the normal one is for short release, and that helps most with the sweating. I cannot even begin to tell you how much this changed my life!!! Yes, I have a dry mouth and sometimes a little blurry vision, but I will take that any day over the sweating. Hope you guys try it out, I give it a 10!!!!"

For Urinary Frequency "I have only rated this med a 1 simply because of the side effects. I am so disappointed. The meds actually work so well, I went from going to the bathroom every 20 minutes and 5 or 6 times a night to around 8 times a day, but oh my, the side effects. After 2 days I had to stop the medication. The worst migraine of my life, nausea, dizziness, blurred vision, and I felt like my heart was about to jump out of my chest. Please whoever makes this, please fix the side effects, so that I can take this med."

For Urinary Frequency "The side effects are horrible! For me, it causes really bad dizziness and blurred vision, and my eyes don't focus like they should. It also causes me to feel spaced out, and it affects my cognitive function. I've had really bad short-term memory with this drug, and the dry eyes and dry mouth are horrible. It has mostly helped with my overactive bladder, but I don't think it's worth the side effects."

For Urinary Frequency "I've tried the others that dry your eyes and mouth, blur your vision, and even paralyze your muscles so that you can't urinate without concentrating on it. This one is the winner. It cuts incontinence and overactive bladder with no side effects. I love it."

For Urinary Frequency "I took Oxybutynin 5 mg for 6 weeks for my overactive bladder. While it curbed that in great fashion, it created side effects that got worse and worse. I experienced drowsiness, dizziness, headaches, dry mouth, and blurred vision. I stopped taking this medication. One last note, if you take a depression med (in my case, Amitriptyline), those meds can actually increase these side effects, take this medicine with caution!"

For Urinary Incontinence "I have been taking oxybutynin for approximately two months now due to urinary incontinence and bladder pain. It does help somewhat for the bladder spasms, but not all of the time. I have also noticed that the skin on my face and mouth is extremely dry. The last and worst side effect that I just noticed a couple of days ago is dry eyes and blurred vision."

Oxybutynin for Urinary Incontinence "It worked well for about 2 years, but the dry mouth was really bad. When it stopped, my mouth was so raw I couldn’t eat anything with vinegar or peppery things. I was sort of glad it stopped working, but from then on, not much else has worked. I tried almost everything: Detrol, Tolterodine, Solifenacin, Mybertiq, and Botox, and now have an implant that helps a lot, but I still have urges and need to wear pads. I’m trying Gemtesa, which is helping with frequency. The worst thing about Ditropan was severe dry mouth and blurry vision, but at least it worked well for a time."

For Urinary Incontinence "Been on it for 2 weeks. No noticeable difference. Side effects are my eyes are blurry, insomnia, extreme heartburn, and feels like something stuck in my throat all the time. And my bladder is painful by morning. Going off this medication. More harm than good. :("

Oxybutynin for Dysuria "When my sister was almost 7 years old, she was prescribed a 14-day supply of the liquid version of Ditropan. She was complaining about pain during urination, and after a urine test at the doctor's, it was decided that Ditropan would be the best treatment. The liquid version of Ditropan she had was raspberry flavored. When on the medication, caution needs to be used during exercise, hot weather, and other activities. Ditropan may also cause nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, dry mouth, and blurred vision."

For Dysuria "I first was prescribed Elmiron. Immediately, my vision became blurry and made me sick to my stomach, plus it didn’t work for my dysuria. Within the first month, I told my doctor, and he changed me to oxybutynin. It started working immediately. I still, at times, have UTI spasms when I pee, but overall I’m very satisfied with it. It does help with my bladder pain, controlling the infection that is in the lining of my bladder. But my eyesight has never cleared back up."

For Urinary Frequency "Very dry throat and mouth, eyes, nose...bladder still overactive but, due to increased water intake, volume greater. Dyspepsia, occasional blurred vision...no changes to lifestyle or decreased energy."

For Urinary Frequency "After three weeks of taking it I’ve had every side effect that was listed on this medicine and no improvement at all. But the worst thing that happened was it ruined my eyes forever. Because it dried out everything in my body, 60% of my tear glands are damaged and there is no treatment for it. A blurry vision is listed as a side effect, but I have a pixilated vision from time to time and have a severe dry eye syndrome. Have to use moisturizing drops every 15-20 minutes now. I stopped taking it and would not recommend it to anyone."
