For Birth Control "I am leaving a review since the ones I read scared me enough to delay trying this pill for years. I went on combination birth control when I was 20 for PCOS symptoms, namely horrible cystic acne and amenorrhea. It worked great and I’ve since had three healthy babies. BUT, it gave me melasma and I have had enough! I switched to progesterone-only one month ago, expecting the worst. I have had zero side effects, aside from some mild bloating and headaches in week one. No acne, no hair loss, no mood changes."

For Birth Control "I'm on month 4. I've given it at least 4 months, but my period has been very irregular! Very hard to plan for anything. I have had more than 1 period per month. Pretty nuts! Acne is bad and hair loss as well. It might work for others, but it didn't work for me. I stopped taking it. Hope this helps!"

For Amenorrhea "The neurologist wanted me to consult with a menopause expert to consider HRT. She declined, estrogen hormone replacement therapy is contraindicated, as I have liver problems, migraines with aura (newer research busted that myth), and a family history of stroke. Nine months ago, I started having hot flashes every day around 2 PM for 3 hours. Intense long flashes, then chills, nausea, migraine attack. Brutal! Couldn’t work, couldn’t go out without a change of clothes and hair ties! The new GYN started me on low-dose progesterone. Unbelievable difference. Hot flashes are lesser, shorter, but vary in time. And migraines are better!"

For Birth Control "I started Incassia a few months ago. I have tried Sprintec before and didn’t have the best experience with it. I was on the Nexplanon, then IUD, and those were miserable in their own ways. My old gyno put me on Incassia because I have migraine headaches when I PMS. Also, because my periods are crazy heavy. Well, I still have the migraines. Periods aren’t as heavy, but still there and regular at least. I got lucky because I accidentally took it late a couple of times, and my fiancé and I have sex almost daily, and I didn’t get pregnant thankfully as I am not ready for a kid yet. I also noticed my acne got bad again too since the first time since early high school (I’m 25). I also struggle with PMDD, so this did nothing for it. My new gyno switched me to Lo Loestrin Fe, and hopefully that one does better for me. But anyway, it may work for you, it may not. At least try. Don’t let the reviews scare you too much because everyone’s different."

"I took it for a full three months. My boobs have gotten larger, and I've gained maybe five pounds (now 144 pounds). I have started having low blood sugar episodes when I haven't eaten. I get shaky and anxious during those, like I MUST eat. I have gotten some acne, and my libido is zero. However, this pill did regulate my period, make it much lighter than it was, and it alleviated the bad headaches I get at the start and end of my period. I feel the side effects outweigh the good (especially the weight gain and blood sugar issue). I am 50... hopefully menopause will come soon enough."

For Birth Control "I have this for heavy periods. Not happy with pill. Acne has returned after having a clear face for years. Periods are slightly lesser in flow, not much. Going to contact Dr to find out other options and possibly consider Novasure procedure."

For Birth Control "I switched to this birth control because I was getting sick from the old one. I’ve been feeling so much better since!"

For Birth Control "My doctor switched me to Incassia because I had irregular periods and migraines with my other birth control pills. After reading all the bad reviews, I decided not to try it at all but my husband encouraged me to try for some few months and see how it works. Truthfully, this is the best pill so far. Periods aren't irregular, I've lost some weight from 240 pounds to 200 pounds. My skin is so smooth and never felt better. I think medication works in different ways for everyone. I would recommend you give it a try and not to be scared about the bad reviews. I take it every night before bed so I would advise you to take it at night every day, in that way, you don't see many side effects. I guess when taken during the day, you feel like eating more and that brings weight gain so try taking it at night before bed. I hope this works for you as it did for me."
