For Glaucoma, Open Angle "I have been using Rhopressa for 14 months, once a day in each eye. I too hated the initial use experience... it felt like I was pouring acid into my eye. Keeping it in the refrigerator helped. The pain upon application went away in 2 weeks. Early evening usage cuts down on the daytime eye redness. Ocusoft Plus Lid Wipes cut down on lid margin itch. Rhopressa has brought my pressures to 7 and 8 from 11 and 13. I have seen an increase in burst blood vessels in my eyes, which are uglier and more frequent than those prior to Rhopressa. I am now trying Vyzulta for a month to see what happens because I was not comfortable feeling that I was causing some type of damage to my eye, even though there was no data to support that feeling. I have been paying $100 for two 2.5 ml bottles. I purchase by phone and it is mailed to me."

For Glaucoma, Open Angle "I have been prescribed already 3 eye drops. But these drops are the worst. Burning, stinging eyes, redness, and my vision blurry. Got worried because my vision is blurry. Thank you all for the reviews. Will definitely discontinue tonight. Calling the doctor on Monday."

For Glaucoma, Open Angle "My ophthalmologist prescribed Rhopressa and asked that I visit in 6 weeks to see how it worked for me. The next day I awoke to bloodshot eyes. No other symptoms. I called and told him. His nurse advised that I continue. I did, and the redness did not go away but subsided by noon. Fast forward 5 weeks later. My right eye felt like something was in it. A few days later, it was so bad…dry and gritty. I told my doctor, and he insisted that I continue using Rhopressa. I regret ever listening to him. It was a Friday night and my eye was so bad, it felt like someone was pouring sand in my eyes…I have never experienced pain as intense as that in my life. I stopped taking the Rhopressa on my own. The pain and redness went away, but my eye is still feeling some residual effects. This was last week, so I am praying to the Good Lord that I get back to my normal self. If you experience redness, just throw that mess in the trash."

For Glaucoma, Open Angle "Although it did lower my IOP, it caused redness, eye discomfort, and fluctuating vision (worse in the morning and better in the evening as the effect of the drug waned). The fluctuating vision is the worst side effect. It makes it very difficult to read a computer screen, which is what I had to do all day long. I cannot wait to stop it. I have used Combigan for years without problems. Rhopressa was added when my IOP went up after steroid drops were introduced post-DMEK. I will stop Rhopressa as soon as I wean off steroids!"

For Intraocular Hypertension "I was diagnosed with ocular hypertension about 4 years ago. I kept it under control with Travatan-Z for about three years, and then the pressure started to creep up again. My doctor added Rhopressa to my regimen, and it has helped keep the pressure down (below 20). However, the Rhopressa has the unpleasant side effect of watery eyes, which gives me blurred vision - mainly when reading or at the computer. It also causes some eye irritation and redness. I've tried at least three other types of drops, but all have their drawbacks. For me, Travatan-Z has the least side effects, but doesn't seem to do the job anymore."

For Glaucoma, Open Angle "Within one hour after my first dose of Rhopressa, my eye was red, and I had a headache in the back part of my head. By next morning, the redness wasn’t gone, and neither was the headache. Later in the evening, things got better. So I tried another dose and experienced the same reaction over again. I just called my doctor to report my side effects. I do not want another drop of Rhopressa."

For Glaucoma, Open Angle "I have normal tension open-angle advanced glaucoma. After the initial week of Rhopressa use, I experienced great discomfort. After the body adjusted to it, I was very pleased with a 4-6 point reduction in pressure. Thought this was my wonder drop for glaucoma. However, after 2 months of use, I developed excessive tearing followed by redness, lots of discomfort, and constant itching of eyelid rims. I have stopped using it and gone back to original drops. It did lower pressure significantly, but the side effects are so severe and intolerable."
