"I have used it for 3 months, minoxidil, but it is not working for me, maybe, but I have used it for stress hair loss. I have a lot of personal stress, which is the reason why I needed to use this product. Or maybe it is not suitable for me. I must say to everybody that before trying minoxidil, remove all things like stress, use a proper diet, and others, and then, if necessary, then only try it."

"My dermatologist prescribed this to help with my androgenetic alopecia, which I developed since I started using the Mirena IUD to treat heavy periods. However, in less than a month, I have not seen much improvement in my hair loss or hair growth. Instead, I have started feeling very angry, irritable, and depressed. I feel extremely tired, have low energy, feel weak and confused, and have headaches and breast pain. This product has turned me into a depressed zombie, and I hate it. I do not recommend it. If you have naturally low blood pressure, do not take this product as it will mess you up badly."

"For people not getting results. If you're a woman, it says specifically it is not for women, and female Rogaine I believe to be a gimmick because DHT causes most hair loss, and this has to do with testosterone. I think something else is needed for females (since this is for genetic hair loss and involves testosterone, and most female hair loss is neither of these). For men saying it doesn't work, try tapping it on (grabbing by circular plastic part, not the rubber squeezer). Don't massage it on because you lose about half of it (unless it's foam because it doesn't have the propylene glycol which is used in the liquid to penetrate the scalp and is what also probably causes the flakes/residue in the liquid form). Also, use for at least 3-6 months or even a year for max results."

Minoxidil topical "Priced way too high and ineffective for me. I was buying 3 every month and a half for almost $30 a can. Switched to a generic 5% minoxidil foam a month and a half ago and still haven't finished the first bottle. 3 of the generic cans cost me $30 altogether. It smells better than Rogaine, no pink tax. It lasts so long. Best of all, I get better results. Do yourselves a favor and buy from the little guys."

"I swear this stuff gave me anxiety attacks along with depression spells. I used it for 3 days; by the third day, my resting heart rate was 112, up from 54. I had intense headaches and nausea. I couldn’t even stand up for long because I would get lightheaded. I don’t know if there’s a relation between my symptoms and Rogaine because, according to their website, Rogaine doesn’t cause these problems, but they did stop after just two days of discontinuing Rogaine."

Minoxidil topical "I was in my fifties when my hair began thinning on my crown. I have been taking Rogaine for 4 months now. I saw no change for the first 2 months, but now the hair loss is no longer noticeable. No side effects. Recommended for male pattern baldness. I am a customer for life."

"I am a 24-year-old female with PCOS-related androgenic alopecia. My testosterone levels are normal and no high DHT, still, I lose hair like 200 strands daily. I was using 2% minoxidil, and it lessens the loss whenever I use it but never stopped it. The doctor, after my PRP session, asked me to start 5%, which I did, and I have been patient, but I really cannot do it anymore. Even my new baby hair is falling. They say ‘have faith’ with minoxidil, but I am going back to my 2%. Remember, start with 2%, and if you can tolerate it, then only start 5%. It is not for me. I lost half the hair I grew back with a lot of hope and care and pampering and money and time."

"I am using this for thinning hair. I got side effects of severe hives, severe facial edema, and pustular dermatitis of the scalp. It's 10 days since onset, and symptoms are slowly going away. Hives are tiny fluid-filled bumps that itch. The doctor prescribed a steroid for the swelling. The steroid meds may have helped somewhat, but my face, especially around the eyes, is still swollen. The scalp cleared fastest. The first 3 days were horrible. The entire contact site was sore, swollen, oozed, and formed a thick layer. The swelling literally traveled down my face, starting at my hairline. Again, stalling out around my eyes. Benadryl and ice application help with the itching. Hives are central to my hands (front and back), forearms, face, and ears. But it appears to be spreading to my neck. I was impressed with the results after 6 months of use, so I decided to use a little bit more, about half a dropper. After 3 weeks of increase, the above happened. Going to a dermatologist next week to see if there is anything else I can do to speed up the healing process."

"I have been using minoxidil for almost 4 years, but not regularly. I mean for 4 months I used minoxidil, then I took a month break because it seemed useless. But later I found that it may work after 3-4 months of usage. I have been on finasteride also, but the side effect of finasteride, which is erectile dysfunction, and chances of impotency too, though its chances are not too high. But still, I love children more than my hair, so now again I started using minoxidil alone. Now it has been a month since I started minoxidil again, and I will test it, but the review from my cousins was very positive. Though my fingers are crossed, I wish it will be helpful. By the way, hair concerns women more than men. Please, if someone can assure me that, yup, it's working, kindly do so."

"I started using minoxidil for 4 months. I expected shedding some hair, and I was expecting some hair to grow as well, but in return, I lost more hair and didn't get hair regrown in those spots. They say to give it time, but growing a small noticeable hair will not need more than 4 months. It was only getting worse. I had to stop it, my hair got so dry and thin. I hope my experience is helpful. I don't want anyone to get the same experience."

"I have been using minoxidil for 9 months now for my hair. Before I used it, my hair was so thin that I was worried that I was going to go bald in the future, but after going through a YouTube video, I came to know about minoxidil in mid-2021. At first, when I applied it on my scalp, after a few weeks, I started to see lots of hair fall out, which means it's working, and yeah, I use 5% mino just once a day. Then, after 3 months, I started to see new thick hair growing back, which really helped me boost my confidence level, and yeah, sometimes I wish I had known about minoxidil earlier, but still then, I'm happy about the results. I guess the side effects for me using minoxidil is I think I'm getting some wrinkles on my forehead. How about you guys? Recently, I started to take oral finasteride 1mg, and I'm on the 2nd month of taking it. I must say I have seen some shedding due to fin, but I'm hoping to get good results."

"Had thinning on my crown, and the hairline wasn't great but was manageable. If I pushed my hair back, then you couldn't see any thinning. Now, right down the middle of my scalp, there's a big bald patch, and where it was thinner, it's now basically bald. Stay well clear of this drug. It also gave me contact dermatitis, as it says can happen, and so I've had to get a medicinal shampoo. So I'm using medicinal shampoo and now have a big bald patch. So yep, definitely would not recommend."

Minoxidil topical "I stopped using Rogaine months ago after using it off and on for 7 years or so. I’ve been noticing scalp pain and tenderness off and on, especially after too much tension from, for example, a braid that was too tight. I just realized after another painful experience last night that the tender areas are exactly where I was using Rogaine all that time. It literally hurt to touch my scalp and felt like I’d hit my head, even though I hadn’t. There was no redness, no pink skin, and everything looked fine. I'm certain that Rogaine is the cause of this."

"Started using minoxidil, one dose per day, in June. I am a 70-year-old male. Within three months, I had good results over the entire top of my head, pretty amazing, really. Now, after about 6 or 7 months (Dec/Jan), I have started getting itching, and dandruff has become pronounced and irritating. I am going to try reducing the application to maybe every other day or two. I hope to see if the itching reduces but still retains the hair. I came to this site to see if anyone else reported the same issue as I am having and if a 'maintenance' dose can be reduced but still be effective."

"I had some hair loss happen from wrong meds, and my hair was usually thick, voluminous, and wavy. Even after the initial decrease of hair, I still had wavy hair and not too showy receding white lines. Many doctors advised using minoxidil/Rogaine. I kept feeling scared to use it and took my time. However, after 10 really expensive doctors, I thought I'd give it a try. I so wish I had listened to that gut feeling of being doubtful and scared. It completely ruined my hair. It kept falling all the time I used it, and no growth, and even after several years of stopping, all the hair that fell hasn't grown back yet. All the places I used it on have wider, extremely visible bald lines or spots. Shows you how much many doctors really care for your well-being. It is all about profit. I urge you not to use it. Use supplements, do proper exercise, but don't use it, please."

"I have stopped using it. The more I used it (the higher the dose), the more I had soreness at the site, but this didn't bother me much. Other symptoms did, such as: loss of sex drive, palpitations, dizziness and light sensitivity, headaches, nausea, fatigue, digestive issues, weight gain, brain fog. Don't be vain in your 20s and dead in your 40s for this stuff. It never really did anything noticeable anyway!"

"My hair loss started after several months of being infected with coronavirus, I got severe hair loss, which could not be treated with anything. I tried literally every herbal and oil available, but nothing seemed to be working. I then went to the doctor, who prescribed minoxidil for me. At first, during the two weeks, I didn't notice any change but kept using it, and after about a month, I was amazed that my hair loss suddenly stopped and I noticed baby hairs growing back again."
