For Bacterial Vaginosis "This medication twice a day for seven days was perfectly fine on days 1-4 (although I was a little moody). Day 5 came around and boom, nausea and vomiting. On day 6, strong migraine that put me in a dark room on my bed the whole day. The last day, I was unable to eat due to the metallic taste in my mouth. I am now one day off of the medication, and I have developed oral thrush. The only good thing is that it cleared up the infection, and the metallic taste seems to be going away quickly. Also, a good pill if you want to lose weight very quickly because it will cause you to not eat, wow!"

For Bacterial Infection "This medication is horrible! My doctor put me on this treatment for 7 days and took two pills a day. Well, let me tell you, I took this medication about 10 years ago, and I could not stop vomiting, having chills, and just being tired. Now that I’m 29, my doctor put me on it again. I’m on my first day, and I feel like I am going to die! I am not taking any more! I will be calling her to put me on the gel form! Please stay away."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "Horrid pills for me. Prescribed 5 days ago after developing BV post-op from LEEP. I have 3 days left and don't think I can make it. Have thrown up and been in a constant state of nausea when I'm not actually vomiting. Headache, tired, so sick don't want to move. I take with a meal and do not have a weak stomach. Not sure how much longer I can take it. This really is not fun at all. 30 yrs old, 110 pounds."

For Bacterial Infection "I was given this antibiotic after a stint in the ER. I was told that I have colitis. Anyway, the day I started them, I had a sinus issue like no other. Pain. The next morning, my lymph nodes were the size of golf balls. On day 2, stomach pain started. It was unrelenting, and I couldn't eat or drink anything without vomiting. This persisted through day 3. Well, lo and behold, this crap can cause pancreatitis, and aren't I the lucky one? I stopped it immediately! The next morning, the pain was almost gone, and I could eat clear liquids. By the second day, I was much, much better. It has an 8-hour half-life, so it took about 48 hours to clear from my system. This is a highly dangerous drug."

For Bacterial Infection "I have C. diff caused by amoxicillin. The ER specialists put me on Flagyl. So far, I have felt like I'm going to vomit every day, dizziness to the point where I got in my car and thought an earthquake was happening, and panic attacks. I really have never experienced all of these feelings so suddenly, and I don't even feel like myself. Cannot wait to finish this medication and then never take it again."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "So I am on my 5th day of 7-day 500 mg tablets. Every morning, I wake up and take one at 9 a.m., go back to sleep for an hour or so, and wake up vomiting. But the vomiting doesn't stop there. I have vomited 10 times today. I'm unable to eat, I have no energy, and I have uncontrollable diarrhea. I haven't been able to work since starting this medicine because every hour, I'm in the bathroom at least twice. I'm severely pissed that I am having these adverse reactions and am so thankful that tomorrow is Monday and the doctors are open."

For Bacterial Infection "I was prescribed metronidazole 400 mg and amoxicillin 500 mg by my dentist for a tooth abscess. I took 1 of each at 2 pm and 1 of each at 8:00 pm, all with food. The next day at 8:30 am, I had diarrhea every 5 minutes until midday, and then I started vomiting as well. This lasted until 3:30 pm. The next morning, I started with diarrhea again despite not eating anything and not taking any more tablets. This is a terrible tablet, and I will not take it for anything ever again."

For Giardiasis "I've been experiencing intermittent diarrhea for like 4 weeks, unsure why. Doc prescribed me this medication (Dazomet) brand. Today's my last day. These are the things I'm experiencing since day 1: 3 times a day, 500 mg for 7 days. 1) dark urine almost brown (the smell of antibiotic makes me vomit) 2) bloated and stomach cramps 3) abdominal pain 4) I also feel like I have the flu 5) behavioral changes (I've been depressed, clingy, etc.) 6) I can't sleep that much due to mentioned cramps, and I feel tired and weak. 7) loss of appetite. I don't want to eat much even if I want to because I feel like vomiting every day. But I feel a lot better now. The side effects are lesser and tolerable as the day goes by. Diarrhea did not come back, and I will go back to the doctor for a follow-up."

For Trichomoniasis "Omg!!! This pill is awful. I took it with ginger ale. You can't really taste them. I vomited 5 mins after taking the fourth pill. It's been three days since I took the one-day dose. N forgot to take the pills for BV, so I'm taking those now. Overall, I stopped seeing yellow stuff, and then again it started over all because I didn't take the BV pills. But the smell is gone.... Yyaaaa"

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I was diagnosed with this medication by my gynecologist to help me get rid of bacterial vaginitis, but I deeply regret taking this medicine because, on my second day of taking this medication during the nighttime, I had a horrible episode of vomiting that caused me to throw up 9 times. All day that day and the day after, I have been struggling with diarrhea, stomach pain, and nausea. I had to go to the ER to get an IV because it dehydrated me significantly having to vomit so much. Never again!"

For Bacterial Vaginosis "Thank goodness for these reviews, I wasn’t sure if it was just me. I’m on day 4 (500 mg x 2 day), and I feel awful. I take it with food as prescribed, but it’s curbed my appetite immensely. I haven’t been hungry for 2 days. Flu-like symptoms that have so far included morning nausea and one night of intense nausea and dry heaving. Fuzzy feeling with dull headaches. Extreme fatigue — I slept most of the day today and still feel tired. Also, some jaw tension. The only indication I had of BV was odor, so as far as I know, everything seems and smells fine now. I’m going to try my best to stick it out, but this sucks!"

For Giardiasis "Female, 120 lbs. Was prescribed this medication for a parasitic infection (Blastocystis) at 500 mg three times a day for 10 days. I had the pharmacist turn it into 250 mg twice, three times a day as I have trouble swallowing large pills. After the first day of taking these, I woke up at 2 a.m. and vomited a total of 6 times before the Gravol finally kicked in. Been taking Gravol along with my meds ever since. Also been experiencing brain fog (possibly due to Gravol), severe fatigue (Gravol again?), and loss of appetite. You absolutely must eat food before taking these, especially if you are prone to nausea like me. Won't know if the med even works until I do a stool test after the 10 days."

For Bacterial Infection "I’ve been taking metronidazole 500 mg twice a day for 3 days, and every single time I take it in the morning, I vomit. Do not recommend. I literally throw up everything I’ve consumed. I am pregnant and do not consume this with alcohol or anything else, so it’s the actual medicine doing this. I’ve tried consuming with and without food. Either way, I still vomit. Unsure if this medication will work for me or not, as I haven’t finished my prescription."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "Just completely awful. Flu-like symptoms. Chills, shakes, aches, vomiting, nausea. Couldn't sleep, had bad dreams. Total loss of appetite. Swollen tongue. Both diarrhea and constipation. Confusion, violent mood swings. Symptoms started on the 4th day of my 7-day prescription. Dr. told me to stop taking them. Still have the infection too, and I took 6 days of the prescription. Would recommend to ask for the gel, these pills are a nightmare. Good luck!"

For Bacterial Vaginosis "On day 2 of metronidazole, and I hate it. Day 1, I had an excruciating headache and nausea. Day 2, I keep vomiting and can’t really keep anything down (even water). I hope there is another option because I’m actually afraid to continue this medication."

For Clostridioides difficile Infection "I was prescribed metronidazole 500 mg 3 times a day for C. diff after having a reaction from vancomycin. It seems to be helping my diarrhea, but I can not take the side effects anymore! The taste in my mouth is making me throw up, I can't eat, I'm dizzy, can't sleep, I just can't take it anymore!"

For Bacterial Vaginosis "Omg, this medication for BV is terrible! The taste is so gross! I have taken the pill with orange juice, and I am doing so much better! Also, the pill is huge! It hurts to swallow! It makes me gag to the point where I throw up! Ughhhhh, I still have 5 days left! Oh well, as long as the issue clears up, I'm happy!"

For Bacterial Infection "I've been prescribed this medicine a few times for a reoccurring infection. I hate it, it makes me extremely nauseous. The first time I took it, I made the mistake of attempting to take it with just water, I threw up immediately. I then decided to try it with yogurt or pudding, and they worked great. The trick for me is to put enough yogurt or pudding on the spoon and push the pill to the center because if the pill touches my tongue, I'd throw up. It's best to take it on a full stomach, although it still seems to make me nauseous. I was prescribed promethazine with it one time, and it does help."

For Trichomoniasis "I was diagnosed with trichomonas after a pap. I took the meds Flagyl, only one dose. I threw up 8-9 hours straight, and now it’s the next day and I’m still weak and nauseous. Hope the itch be gone 'cause I’m dying, lol."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "This medication has taken its toll this time around. I was prescribed 14 tablets for 7 days and usually have no side effects or any problems, but surprisingly, I had extremely bad headaches, nausea, vomiting, and just overall felt pregnancy symptoms (morning sickness-like), which we all know isn't fun. I can't eat, sleep, or function normally. Unless the goal is to be miserable, this is not it, and I would not recommend at all! However, the gel works just fine and I shall resort back if needed."

For Bacterial Infection "I am taking this along with ciprofloxacin. I am experiencing severe bloating and a stuffy nose and gagging. I have taken Gas-X this morning but am still suffering. This is the second day on the medicine, and it was not as bad on the first day. I did not sleep at all because of the bloating and pain."

For Bacterial Infection "Not a huge fan. Taken twice now for BV. First time a year ago was fine. Felt a little foggy at times, but not terrible. The first time, I even did a little drinking on it (yes, I KNOW you’re not supposed to) and was also totally fine. This time, I have only had 3 doses. I feel nauseated, tired, dizzy, and have thrown up. I’m dreading taking more, and there are 27 more pills on my prescription. I want to cry thinking about it."

I couldn’t even finish my dosage because 2 days into my 14-day long prescription, I started getting so nauseous, and I ended up vomiting all night long. For Bacterial Vaginosis "I was prescribed to take two pills a day for 7 days. I've had an awful pressure headache the entire time. Also, on day two, I felt super nauseous and threw up multiple times. The odor was gone day two, which was GREAT, but if I would have known the side effects, I would have opted for another treatment option."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "Cleared up my infection but landed me in the hospital. The first time I had taken this medication, I had no side effects and all was well. Unfortunately, after a few months, my infection came back again. It was a 10-day prescription. On day 8, I woke up at 2 a.m. with the worst nausea and urge to vomit in my life. Within 3 minutes of that realization, I violently vomited everywhere and then blacked out. I was rushed to the ER and remained in the hospital the remainder of the night. Needless to say, I tossed it out."
