For Bacterial Infection "I have taken a number of medications in my life, but this stuff has to be the worst experience of my life. I felt so sick: nausea, vomiting, stomach aches, dark urine, and felt very depressed and very tired. I definitely will never, ever take this stuff again. I'm certain it made my life a nightmare!"

For Bacterial Infection "I have taken this Flagyl medication in the past, however, I do not remember the side effects being this bad. Jan 11, I had VSG surgery and ended up with a presence of a yeast infection and BV from the hospital. I have thrown up 3 of the 7 days with at least one of the pills. It just won't stay down. I am done. I finished puking and tossed them. I have never felt so sick in my life. If I return to my doctor, I will let them know. I will neveeeeeeeer ever be getting back together with that medication! I should have gotten the vaginal suppository!!!! Ugh! I suppose on a brighter note, I feel much, much better."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "Started taking this for the H. pylori infection and I dread it. My doctors have me on it three times a day for two weeks, I am currently on day 8 and the side effects of the drug have not lessened or gotten better. Nausea, vomiting, gas, diarrhea, terrible headaches, and feeling like I’m a ghost overshadowing my body have all been side effects. It hits me the worst in the morning and at night because that is when my stomach is empty. I have found that food helps during the day, but not full and complete meals. I definitely do not recommend this drug to anyone and I am sorry if you, the reader, are taking it with hopes that it won’t make you sick because chances are, it probably will. But please do not let this deter you, it hurts but it will make you feel better in the end. Important note: the drug can make you have EXTREMELY dark and brassy colored pee."

For Bacterial Infection "Was prescribed this by my OB for a mild case of BV. Took one pill on a full stomach. It tasted awful, and I immediately threw up everything I had eaten. Then I read the paperwork from the pharmacy, and it said to ask your doctor if you're less than 12 weeks pregnant... I just hit 8 weeks today. Should I trust the doctor or just say no to Flagyl?"

For Bacterial Infection "I was prescribed this medicine to treat BV. I was told to take 5 400 mg pills in one dose. This sounded wrong to me, so I decided to have a look online and wished I never! I saw people sharing stories of really horrible side effects such as headache, dizzy spells, and vomiting. Being emetophobic, this really worried me, and I was debating if I'd even take the pills! Eventually, I decided to take them as instructed, on a full stomach, with a large glass of water at night. They did taste a bit horrible, but nothing as bad as I'd read. Once I'd taken them, the taste was gone. I didn't have any dizziness or nausea, nothing, absolutely fine. I think some people have exaggerated their side effects majorly!"
