Magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate for Bowel Preparation "So I had to start this at 4 pm the day before the colonoscopy, and let me tell you, the nastiest tasting thing I've ever had to ingest. Very strong taste, which is semi-nauseating. Got the first bottle down, and it took about a half-hour for it to kick in. Once it kicked in, there was no stopping. It made my stomach very upset the next day, which made it 20 times harder to finish the second bottle. Overall, very effective, but one of the worst tastes I've ever tasted."

Magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate for Bowel Preparation "It did its job; but not without some consequences. Tastes like sweet salt water, only gets worse with every sip. On my second dose, I nearly threw up 4-5 times. I was nauseous and had an upset stomach since the first dose, and it didn’t get better. I felt cold, tired, and overall ill for the entirety of the medicine. However, it did do its job. It’s just a very voluminous and nasty way to do it. I pray I never need to use this prep again."

Magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate for Bowel Preparation "Was very nervous to take this prep. I even cancelled my first appt. I took this prep at 6 pm, and it's 7:45 pm, and I only had slight tummy rumbling and 4 watery movements. Worst part so far is drinking the prep and being hungry. So far, not bad. I'm just hoping it stays that way, but I still have the 2nd dose to take in the morning."

Magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate for Bowel Preparation "The stuff costs between $50 and $100. Probably costs a dollar to make. I'm sure the packaging cost more. It tastes horrible. It requires you to get up at 5 a.m. to take the second dose. Yes, it cleans you out, but so did the old stuff, which tasted good and cost about $10. After the colonoscopy, I have a headache and stomach ache. That could be from the anesthesia."

Magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate for Bowel Preparation "I had an upset stomach the whole day, so I suspect by the time I drank my first dose, I was already cleaned out. The stuff did not taste all that bad. At least the first bottle. I found it hard to drink so much water. It took about 30 minutes to work, and as I expected, there wasn't anything in me to clean, so after using the toilet for about 2 hours, all I passed was clear fluids. When it came time for the second, this time, I couldn't even get the stuff down. I took two gulps and gagged so much I threw it down the sink. Maybe it was harder because I thought I really didn't need the second dose. So hopefully, the one dose was enough."

Magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate for Bowel Preparation "I was horrified to have to drink this after reading reviews, but the taste is not bad at all. I’m following every sip with a small sip of water. Tastes a bit like flat sparkling water. A bit cherryish? Salty aftertaste easily washed away with water. Feel a little nauseous, but the water helps. I started drinking this at 7, 10 minutes in and over halfway done. A bit of stomach rumbling, but I expect it to do its job. Easy so far!"

Magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate for Bowel Preparation "The taste was the worst part, followed by all the water. I mixed the first dose with white cherry Powerade after reading the recommendations of some of the reviews, and I wish I hadn't. That made it worse. I could hardly stomach it. My instructions said to drink it within 20 minutes, but I think it took three or four hours for me to finish 70% of it. I gave up on the rest and poured it back into the little bottle so I could use the water cup, and after my stomach calmed down, I attempted to drink the remainder. It was easier drinking it out of that little bottle since I couldn't smell it. The second morning dose mixed with plain water was much easier to swallow. Bowels were liquid fairly quickly, though weren't clear until 2 hours before the procedure."

Magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate for Bowel Preparation "This was my 6th colonoscopy with a different doctor who uses this Suprep as a bowel prep. I previously used GoLightly. I can honestly say it was the worst-tasting liquid I have ever consumed in my life! I felt like I was killing myself. The prep worked, but I did not get any sleep the night before my procedure, as the first dose left my stomach upset all night. It helps to use a straw to drink it, but I feel like it killed my taste buds. I am going to beg not to use this again, even though I realize why it can be a more superior prep."

Magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate for Bowel Preparation "Nightmare! Severe nausea, dry heaves, dizzy, headache, chills, horrible stomach cramps. I could only drink the first 16 oz. bottle. Felt very sick. I had to cancel my colonoscopy appointment because I could not finish the second required bottle of Suprep due to the horrible side effects. Felt sick the next day also. Do not take Suprep."

Magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate for Bowel Preparation "Well, after reading the many negative reviews on this site, I was VERY afraid to use it. At least for me, it worked well. The hardest part was drinking it, although I did use a straw. Best to sip it slowly. Still, the taste is pretty horrible, and I hoped I would not vomit. Then there is quite a bit of stomach discomfort, gas, and cramping for less than an hour. If you get past that, you got it made. The first of the 2 split doses began producing bowel movements an hour or so after taking the Suprep AND the two 16 oz cups of water over the next hour. But the 2nd dose at 5:15 a.m. the day of the procedure started giving me bowel movements right as I was finishing the 2nd cup of water. On day one, the bowel movements went on almost 2 hours. Then I thought they were done, but I had a couple small ones like 5 hours or so after starting the SUPREP. It was better on day 2. Done with the BMs about 3.5 hours after beginning the Suprep. Good luck."

Magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate for Bowel Preparation "The worst colon prep I have used. It caused bloating, slight nausea, growling stomach, and stomach cramps. I lived in the bathroom. Never-ending. Taking one bottle and having to consume about 42 oz of water within one hour AND THEN having to repeat the process six hours later."

Magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate for Bowel Preparation "Took 1st dose 11 pm last night - was so tired and nothing was happening, so went to sleep in bed - BIG mistake. Woke up to an awful mess, no warning - needless to say, stayed up rest of the night. Took 3 hrs. to start working, still working 8 hours later. Have 2nd dose tonight and 3rd in a.m. - I don't clean out well. Taste got worse as I drank more, but just held my nose. Lots of gurgling, no cramps, hoping I tolerate next doses as well, but hope they work faster. This really works and I like it better than that gallon I had to drink last time. Still hope I don't have to do this again for a very long time!"

For Bowel Preparation "Suprep was the most vile-tasting liquid I have ever encountered. My first dose, I added a lemon flavoring. Awful. Terrible. But I chugged it down somehow. Then came the two 16-ounce glasses of water... I was so bloated, and my stomach hurt - it was like I had the worst case of flu possible. The first dose worked within a half hour and lasted FIVE hours. Now the second dose. I did not add anything to the Suprep except the water - no flavoring. OMG, I could not get the entire dose down. I left only perhaps two gulps. Once again, the dose worked quickly, and I thought I was completely cleaned out. However, after my procedure today, my doctor told me I was not cleaned out, but the doctor was able to complete the procedure."

Magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate for Bowel Preparation "Awful tasting. Very difficult to get past 8 oz without feeling like gagging and/or vomiting. Be prepared for bloating and stomach cramping. It also made me feel like I had the flu with chills, a splitting headache, and nausea. It took every ounce of psychological willpower (and sucking on a lemon) not to vomit. The only reason I gave more than one star is because it worked relatively quickly (compared to other preps) and sufficiently cleaned me out, like crystal clear! P.S. You don’t have to drink it within the 15-minute window - take breaks between sips if necessary."

Magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate for Bowel Preparation "Okay, I'm 36 and had to have a colonoscopy due to rectal cancer running in my family early. This stuff tastes terrible! There is no other way to put it. As for my experience, though, once I got it down, it worked within an hour. I have IBS-C, so usually I have to use Fleet suppositories to get things moving, but this I didn't. I felt a small stomach roll and knew I should get to the toilet, and it was very gentle. Mind you, it was back to back, so never did I get up and have accidents. It did its job within 10 minutes. I prefer this over Miralax because for me, I didn't get the stomach cramps. I highly recommend this product."
