For Bowel Preparation "The doctor's office suggested adding lemon juice to cut the flavor, but I was afraid to use too much. I added some ice after the first sip. I don't know how fast you're supposed to drink it, I went slow because I didn't want to vomit. Anyway, 25 minutes after the first sip, it was flowing. Couldn't think about getting off the toilet, absolutely no control. After about 2.5 hours, I could venture out and dash back. The morning one, I used a lot more lemon juice and ice with the water, and it was much more tolerable. Been on the perch for an hour so far. Wonder if I'll make it to the procedure without soiling myself. I have a super bad headache last night and today, and I am freezing."

For Bowel Preparation "Added lemon Crystal Light and electrolyte water to the Suprep mix. Held my nose and drank it through a straw. After each long sip, I bit into a quartered lemon. Biting into the lemon really helped. The electrolyte water replaced my electrolytes and prevented a headache and chills. Definitely doable for me. Last colonoscopy was with MoviPrep, and I threw that up."

For Bowel Preparation "This will be my first colonoscopy. I used many hints from the reviews here. I chilled the solution and mixed it with part water and part 7UP. It tasted like salty cherry soda. I divided it into three cups and used a large straw. I sucked on a lemon slice between each drink. I then drank all the extra water in a short time. It does work very fast. I started at 5:00 pm and was done by 10:00 pm. I had no headache, chills, cramping, or nausea. The second round was no trouble either. I am very glad I read reviews on here first."

For Bowel Preparation "Totally not as bad as expected! I am 18 years old and had to prep for a colonoscopy and an upper endoscopy. I took Suprep as the prep solution. The taste is not awesome, but if you add super cold water, use thick straws, and have fruit juice in between swallows, you'll do fine! I used the split dose - I took the first one at 6 pm the night before my procedure (at 6:30 am the next morning), and it took about 2 hours. The next dose (at 2:30 am, way early!) took about an hour and a half. The anticipation was the worst part. DEFINITELY get Vaseline and baby wipes, these saved my life in those hours! All in all, there's no need to get worked up. No nausea, dizziness, or headache. Pretty awesome!"

For Bowel Preparation "If you have any GI issues, I strongly suggest not doing this prep. Embalming fluid couldn’t taste as bad. Premedicated with Zofran (to stop vomiting and nausea) and couldn’t get through half of the first bottle. Severe vomiting and diarrhea within ten minutes. Spent the next 24 hours with chills and a horrendous headache, followed by IV fluids. Absolutely no reason for a prep to be this harsh. Will never do Suprep again."

For Bowel Preparation "I have had numerous scopes done since 2006, this, by far, has been the most palatable. Still gross, but much better than all the other ones prior. I read the reviews, hoping to not sway my decision in the negative since this was a new prep for me. The tips that do help are making sure the drink is cold, using a straw, mixing it with Sprite/water also, and having a slice of lemon to suck on between drinks as needed. After the first hour, plan on parking on a toilet! You will feel bloated, burps, slight headache, and keep a supply of latex gloves and Vaseline nearby with non-scented wipes. And a good supply of TP! Good luck."

For Bowel Preparation "2nd screening colonoscopy. Last one 11 years ago, and the prep then was pretty stressful. This time, it went great. Sipped the 1st dose at 6:00 PM, thought it was not working, then bam! At 3:00 AM, the 2nd dose was downed in one tip of the cup. I did notice adding additional water cups with the 1st dose kept me going for two hours. 2nd dose I stuck to the plan. No side effects others are seeing. No headache, no bloating, no cramping. Just a successful prep with an all clear at procedure time."

For Bowel Preparation "I'm 23 years old and was scheduled for a colonoscopy due to irregular bowel movements. Since I can't write my whole experience, let me just say it was awful. I managed to get about 2/3 of the first dose down while holding my nose, using a straw, and sucking on a lemon, and then taking a swig of juice. After that 2/3, my stomach could not take any more. I immediately started to vomit after each sip, like uncontrollably, to the point of where I had to stop the prep, and for the rest of the night, I was violently throwing up with an extreme headache, like having two migraines at the same time. I had to cancel my procedure as I couldn't keep anything else down after."

For Bowel Preparation "I wish I would have read these comments beforehand. My appointment is tomorrow at 6:30 am, so my doctor had me take both doses of the Suprep the day before: 5 pm and 9 pm. I took my first dose at 5 pm but didn't have a bowel movement until 7 pm. Then it was flowing for the next few hours. Literally like a fire hose, every 10 minutes or so. Now it's just after 9 pm, and I feel sick to my stomach and have a really bad headache. The thought of choking down another dose almost makes me throw up, not kidding. Wish I would have taken the first dose earlier. That way I wouldn't be up so late. Anyway, this is my first colonoscopy. I am a 26-year-old female and had to get one because of irregularity in my stools that I'm not going to get into."

For Bowel Preparation "The first bottle went down, but I had an almost instant, very bad headache. After half an hour, I became very nauseous, and it was all I could do to keep it down. I had a very hard time following up with the 2 glasses of water after and was nauseated all night. In the morning, with the 2nd dose, I still had a terrible headache, and within 15 mins of drinking 2/3 of the solution, I had uncontrollable vomiting. Was dizzy and felt like passing out. It continued for 4 hours until I had to go to the emergency room. I received fluids, IC Zofran, IC Pepcid, IC magnesium, and oral potassium. Still had a headache the next day. Had to cancel and reschedule my procedure and wasted 2 workdays off. Terrible reaction and experience."

For Bowel Preparation "Was very nervous as this is my first prep. Took 2 Dulcolax at 3 pm and then took my first bottle at 5 pm. Had it in the fridge and added cold water. The taste was not horrible, and I was able to get it down in a few drinks. Didn't use a straw but did suck on a lemon after each swig. Started working in about 10 minutes. It's now 6:15, and I'm laying in bed, relaxing. Feel pretty cleaned out. No headache, nausea, or cramps. Let's see how the second bottle goes down!"

For Bowel Preparation "It’s like drinking poison. Did round one, not sure how I’m gonna drink it again tomorrow morning. My whole body feels poisoned by this. Tastes like gasoline. It works to cleanse you, and that part was okay. I just feel nauseated, dizzy, headache, and just not good."

For Bowel Preparation "Everyone else I know used the Miralax method and said it wasn't that bad, but did make them nauseous due to all the liquid they had to drink. Some said it took too long to work. I'm glad I was given Suprep because it worked very well for me. Here are the bullet points: 1) Grape taste wasn't that bad, but was way too sweet with artificial sweeteners. Not bad though. Do not use lemon wedges to hide the taste! The small amount of pulp can negatively alter your colonoscopy. Just take a sip of Gatorade if the taste bothers you. 2) Started working in 40 mins. 3) No cramping or pain, just a little rumbling. 4) Slight headache (lack of electrolytes). Drink Gatorade or Pedialyte. 5) Stay very close to the bathroom! When it's time to go, it's time to go! It's like water, so not much noise! Lol. 6) The 2nd dose was even easier. I guess because I knew what to expect. Overall, it was an okay experience! Bottoms up!"

For Bowel Preparation "First time colonoscopy. This prep was a walk in the park, easy. No cramping, no nausea, no headaches-really none of the stuff people I have read complain about. The effect from both doses took about 30 minutes, and the resulting bathroom trips about 2 hours each time."

For Bowel Preparation "I tolerated the first bottle of Suprep fairly and had results within 30 min. My body rejected the second bottle. Vomited from midnight until 7 am. I was totally depleted and had a terrible headache. Got to the point of just dry heaving and couldn’t even keep a bit of water down. I could barely walk into the endoscopy center. They had to give me Zofran and fluids before administering the propofol sedation. Felt better when I woke up but stayed home from work the next day because I still didn’t feel right. Will not put myself through this prep again."

For Bowel Preparation "So far, I am pleased. I took it about an hour ago, and it started working within 35 minutes. The taste was not bad. I mixed the prep with water from the refrigerator dispenser. I pinched my nose and drank it down. Actually, it was more difficult to drink the next 32 ounces of water during the hour. Except for a little bloating and a headache (maybe from worry), things have gone well. Now I'll sit and let it do its job."

For Bowel Preparation "This was my first colonoscopy. I began my prep at 5:00 pm. I took the first 6 oz dose and mixed it with 10 oz of water, but then I combined all of that with 32 oz of lemon-lime Gatorade to help with the taste. I drank all of it in an hour, it wasn't bad at all. No nausea, no cramping, no pain. I had bad cold chills, so I had a heater next to me to help. By 7:30, I was feeling great, but I did drink over 100 oz of water because I was so thirsty. Then, I got a terrible headache from the artificial sweetener in the Suprep, so that made the next dose hard. I started it at 1 am, and I did the same-mixed Suprep, water, and 32 oz of Gatorade, and I got 3/4 of it down in the next hour, but I couldn't do any more of it because it did make me nauseated, and I was having the chills again, so I switched to water, and the nausea started to go away as I started to go to the bathroom. Overall, I was really scared of it, but it wasn't as bad as I expected."

For Bowel Preparation "Hideous. Made me nauseous. Could not gag down the entire two bottles. Had a headache for hours. Couldn't sleep because of hunger pangs. If I'm not squeaky clean enough for them by now, they can all go jump in a volcano. NOT doing this medieval procedure again."

For Bowel Preparation "My rating so far is just for the first dose. After a 'light' breakfast of toast, I've only had liquids to drink, and the first prep was at 6 pm. I am so glad I found these reviews first because I took the advice, and it really helped. I chilled the bottle of prep and a can of Sprite, which was my fluid mixer. I used a straw, which was a lifesaver. So glad I wasn't shocked by the taste, thanks to the reviews. Finally got the dose down, brushed my teeth, chewed gum. Action began about one hour later. The next dose is at 6 am, and I really dread it. I had a full-blown headache (probably related to no food and no coffee-I can't drink without cream) that was finally resolved about the time the first dose was due. Dreading the next dose worse than the colonoscopy."

For Bowel Preparation "I did not have the terrible experience others have described. I started by eating light the day before with a high-fiber cereal for breakfast and again for dinner. I took a Colace before bed, and with these pre-prep additions, I was already clearing out before I started the Suprep. I had my prep cold and then added filtered water. I used a thick milkshake straw and put it on the back of my tongue. I finished the drink in two gulps, followed by a lemon wedge. Five minutes later, the butt faucet turned on. No cramps, nausea, vomiting, or headache. I did put Desitin on my bottom to help keep the skin from getting raw. I also used soft baby butt wipes for sensitive skin for the same reason. Next dose in 4 hours, and I'm no longer worried about it."

For Bowel Preparation "After reading reviews and prepping five years ago, I expected this to taste terrible. Held my nose while drinking/swallowing, and it wasn't bad at all. Drinking that much liquid (including the water afterward) left me feeling over-hydrated, slight headache, a bit bloated, but hey, you only need to do this once every several years. It was worth it to make sure my colon is in good shape."

For Bowel Preparation "Before using the stuff, I read a bunch of reviews. Cool the prep and mixing water, room temp water for the 2 glass 16 oz followers. Drink it fast, wait about 10 minutes, and then a lot of visits to the WC. Have a new roll of paper. Do it again as prescribed, and that is it. It worked much better than the older stuff. After about 2 1/2 hours, the show was over each time. No cramps, headaches, vomit, etc. Just a somewhat unpleasant 2 days."

For Bowel Preparation "This was gross and tastes like rotten, salty cherries. It gave me a horrible headache. I don't know if I can do the second one. Going to try my best. The last time I had a colonoscopy, I had Miralax and two pills, and it worked very well. Mixed the Miralax with Gatorade, and it just tasted like regular Gatorade. I will never use Suprep again."

For Bowel Preparation "I was optimistic when I started. It tastes horrible, but you can get it in. The first dose a way. Within 10 minutes, the cleanse had begun, and for that piece, it wasn't bad. What made it hard was the intense nausea that has lasted the past 4 hours and the emerging headache. If this nausea doesn't ease, I won't be able to hold down the second dose come morning."

For Bowel Preparation "My first colonoscopy was yesterday. I am glad I found this site beforehand, as I used several suggestions. I chilled the solution, mixed it with room temp 7Up, divided it into 3 cups, drank with a large straw, and sucked on a lemon slice between each drink. It did work very fast. Went through the same procedure the next morning. I had no issues with chills, nausea, headache, or cramps. The hardest part was drinking the additional water after the first round of the solution."
