For High Blood Pressure "Was prescribed 50 mg losartan after my other HBP drug was discontinued. After 3 days, I noticed palpitations and a general feeling of unease. After a week, I taught my normal yoga class and noticed I was very breathless and anxious. Stuck with this for another 5 weeks, experiencing feelings of shortness of breath, tremors, terror and panic, doom and gloom. Glad I came on here to read similar reviews. GP has taken me off the drug."

For High Blood Pressure "I am going into my fourth year on 100 mg of Losartan. Blood pressure is still around 180/95. But I am not experiencing the bad symptoms others are having. No headaches, palpitations, vertigo, upset stomach, etc. The pills I purchase come in different forms and colors. I sometimes wonder if the quality is tested or not. I had one 90-day prescription that was made overseas. Yeah, it was a generic brand. Maybe it doesn't really work, never made any improvements in my BP."

For High Blood Pressure "The new doctor at my clinic for DOT physical. Gave me 50 mg to lower blood pressure. Took the pill the 1st day, felt heart palpitations, and hard to breathe, went back to the clinic, was checked by another doctor, and said to take 25 mg more. That night, couldn't sleep and had heart palpitations, hard against my chest, hard to breathe. Finally, it wore off, and I never took it again."

Losartan for High Blood Pressure "25 mg of Losartan hydrochlorothiazide cured high blood pressure within a week. But lethargy is a definite side effect. The worst side effect is irregular heartbeat. My blood pressure monitor and my Fitbit disagree on heart rate by about 20 bpm. My Fitbit no longer provides sleep quality feedback, can't get consistent heart rate feedback. I had to discontinue the medication four days ago. The side effects have not improved yet. The blood pressure is still low, 115/60. Note: I started with high blood pressure 160/80 and a low pulse, not because I'm an athlete. Pulse still low. I guess."

For High Blood Pressure "I tried this drug a second time, as my longtime Bisoprolol had suspected giving me joint pain, leg weakness, general apathy, fatigue, occasional heart palpitations, lack of sex drive. After six days, Losartan did improve my joints, strength, energy (to a degree) - now, however, I have fatigue from the insomnia it has given me. I only sleep four hours total a night, if lucky. Also, general dizziness that never totally goes away, and elevated pulse, which I forced to take a sliver of a Bisoprolol pill at night to lower and sleep. BP fluctuates between borderline hyper to good. Sadly, I'm just going to take the Bisoprolol once again, hope to get away with as low a dose as possible to avoid joint pain and lethargy. Losartan causing constant lightheaded/dizzy feeling and insomnia just too much to take."
