For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Belviq for 7 days. The first few days were not good, I was super dizzy, and I felt like I was drugged. Well, I guess I was. I went 5 days and was seriously thinking about giving up, but I had read that the side effects would get better, and since I had the free trial for 2 weeks, I wanted to keep trying. I didn't lose anything either and still felt hungry. Finally, on the 6th day, I didn't feel hungry and finally lost 1 lb. This morning, down another 2, making that 3 lbs in 6 days. Well, I'm willing to finish the 2 weeks before I decide. I'm not as dizzy on the 6th and 7th day, it has gotten a little better. All I can say is I'm thankful for only one side effect so far, and I finally dropped 3 lbs. I noticed on days 5, 6, and 7, I'm not as hungry."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I used Belviq two years ago for about 4 months, and I lost 25 pounds. I weighed 185 when I started on the pill. My weight dropped to 160 in less than 4 months. I'm 60 and 5'4". At first, I experienced slight dizziness and felt sluggish and sleepy. After taking vitamins (B12, calcium, multivitamins), it went away. I stopped taking it after I reached my goal. However, I started to gain the weight back after 2 years to 192 lbs. A whopping 32 pounds gained! I got back on Belviq on October 6. After 3.5 weeks, I lost 14 lbs. with no exercise. I got the same side effects, but they all went away after the first week. I plan to do a little bit of walking and light exercise just to speed up the weight loss and get used to the routine after I'm off the pill."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Today is my second day using Belviq 20 mg. The first day I didn't notice any decrease in appetite, however, I know it takes a while to work. Today, I literally forced myself to eat as I wasn't hungry at all. The only thing that has me a bit concerned is the dizziness. I work on my feet all day, and today I've been sitting most of the time because I feel like I'm falling. Mind you, I'm still eating just fewer calories, however, I shouldn't feel this dizzy by cutting calories. I couldn't even drive. Now I hope this goes away with time. I'll update in two weeks or so."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Belviq 8 days ago. I did experience dizziness, headaches, and tiredness for the first few days, but now I'm back to normal and down 8.5 pounds! What's even better is that not only is my appetite gone, I also get full very quickly, so even when I'm not eating as healthy, I only get between 1/4 and 1/2 (if even), which means I still lose weight."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Belviq is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I stalked the web for a month before I tried it, looking for the most detailed reviews to ease my mind, so I'm here to provide one. Been on Belviq 1 1/2 weeks - down TEN POUNDS. How?! you ask? No more cravings. When I want sweets? I turn to fruit. When I want salty? Cucumbers with a bit of salt. Usually, a cup of food, and I'm full, pushing the plate away. I keep to about 1,000 calories a day now, which is so easy to stay within because I'm hardly ever hungry. No real side effects, felt a little dizzy the first two days, but it passed quickly. Vivid weird dreams every night, though! But I sleep like a rock. BP and heart rate are down, and I have more energy. Go Belviq!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started taking Belviq 9 days ago and am down 7 lbs! The weight flew off the first couple of days (probably water weight), but I haven't lost anything for the last three. I really attribute that to not eating well when I do eat the last few days, but I am eating less and less often. Gone are my desires to snack. I made a salad for dinner and will be taking more control of my diet again, so hopefully I will see some more weight loss soon! The first night I was nauseous and a little dizzy, but nothing too horrible. The next day, all of my side effects were gone. I still get a little dizzy or nauseous from time to time, but nothing too terrible. The biggest side effect is dry mouth, but that just forces me to drink more water."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "My starting weight was 252. Started taking Belviq. First month was maybe 7 lb loss, then the lbs started dropping. To date, I weigh 210, my goal is 180. I also cut out all white food, no fast food, soda, or candy. I also do 3 days at the gym. Went from a 52 men's suit to a 44 regular men's. The first week, I did have a headache and dizziness."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Side effects for me from Belviq are terrible. I have no energy whatsoever, migraines, and get light-headed and dizzy a lot. On the bright side, I have been losing around 5 lbs a week. But I honestly think that is out of pure willpower because of the price for this medication. My insurance covered $196 of it, but it’s still $124 afterward if you don’t have a copay card that brings it down to $40. I’m extremely disappointed and plan to quit the medication after speaking with my doctor. The side effects aren’t worth it for me."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started 5 days ago. The first 2 days I had dizziness and serious hunger pangs. I felt like I was hungrier than ever. The side effects are lessening, but not 100% gone. Sadly, despite diet and exercise, I have not lost 1 pound. I'll see how things go for a full 2 weeks before stopping."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started taking Belviq September 12th, 2016. I weigh in at 332 pounds. I weighed in today, September 28, 2016, 318 pounds. Just could not believe it gave me slight headaches, but I notice I cannot take 2 a day, can only do one. Very strong to me. If I take two in one day, dizziness comes along. Plus I workout as well and am thirsty for water. My appetite has really decreased a lot. I give this pill thumbs up. My doctor preferred me and encouraged me to take them. I don't like taking medications, but he said this will be just right for you. So far, so good. And my insurance didn't cover it, so I only paid $75 out of pocket."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "My doctor suggested Belviq to help me lose the weight to lessen the pressure on my knees. I do not want knee replacement surgery this early in life, and my husband wasn't too keen on my getting gastric sleeve surgery. I started about a week and a half ago and have lost 6 pounds. I had a little bit of vertigo in the beginning and mild headaches, but those may have come from allergies. I have given up snacking at work and have added more salads and fruit to my meals. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can drop more weight to relieve the pressure on my bad knee. My goal is 100 lbs off by next Christmas with Belviq and exercise once I get an initial 30 off."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have a seizure disorder and hypothyroidism and pre-diabetes. After just two doses, I had complete insomnia and horrible dizziness. Then a horrific headache. Maybe it was from my other meds or the seizure disorder, but I can't take this medication."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Well... I read the bad reviews but decided to take it anyway. BIG MISTAKE! I realize not everyone has had these effects, but I’m sharing what I went through. Day one: very foggy-headed, dizziness, and nausea. Day two: I was overwhelmed with extreme fatigue and still dizzy, foggy-headed, nausea, plus a really bad headache. Day three: took Advil with it and no headache, not as foggy, still a little dizzy and nauseous, but no more than if I had a mild ear infection. Manageable. Day four: I noticed hot flashes and chills... weird. But I’ve not been hungry at all, and the previous symptoms are now quite manageable. I feel like I’ve got a grip on things now. I’m ok. Day five: I start feeling agitated. I feel extremely insecure. Day six: I can’t stop crying, why am I crying so much? Still extremely agitated and so incredibly insecure. Still not hungry. Day seven: Depressive dark thoughts. I’m done!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I'm just starting week two of the 15-day trial. I'm down 5 lbs, which to me is good, since I had two days I was up slightly (dang those margaritas). But I figured on those two days there would not be any change or a slight increase just because I was eating differently. I'm thankful that I haven't had the headaches or dizziness. I have been extremely tired and hope that this will soon pass. I have noticed that I do eat a lot less than I usually would, and I crave fruits and veggies. Hoping to stay on track better this week, but I'm loving it so far :)"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Belviq works great for an appetite suppressant. I experienced a little dizziness and a couple of first days I had slight chills. (? - could be coincidental) But 2 times I took it with Allegra-D and had a horrible headache - the kind where you think you might puke... migraine status. I truly believe it was just the combination of the pseudoephedrine and the Belviq. I've never had a headache when I take it with Benadryl. (I have bad spring allergies)"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Belviq 10 mg 2x daily yesterday (May 14th, 2016). I have battled my weight since my hysterectomy three years ago. I was 177 last month, now I am back at 181. I will check in weekly to update my progress. I am very optimistic about Belviq. I did start a new eating habit of 1,200 calories a day, I have found this way easier than counting carbs. I use an app on my phone, it keeps up with everything. I am very tired and felt very dizzy yesterday, but today is much better. I take Vyvanse for my ADD, so this may help even out the fatigue."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am on Belviq for about 2 months now. I started at 180 lbs because I got side effects from Nexium (acid reflux medication) and gained more than 10 lbs in a month. My PCP was willing to prescribe weight loss medication. I decided to try Belviq because the side effects are less than Phentermine. So far, I lost about 10 lbs. No major side effects, and occasionally I felt dizziness and dry mouth for 1 week. My cravings significantly reduced, I snack less and have better meals. I monitored my diet and at least exercise."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Ugh. In a word. I wish I could get a refund for Belviq. I only took the morning pill for 3 days. Skipped the afternoon dose because I was so fatigued and had dizziness and vertigo all day long! The headaches went away. Although it did suppress my appetite, I just don't think I can continue. Good luck to those still trying."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Belviq 3 months ago and have lost 25 pounds so far. I don't feel hungry, have so much more energy. Had a little dizziness at first, but it went away. I am a 57-year-old female. Started at 229 and am now at 204. I have been active but need to step up the treadmill to keep the metabolism moving. Cut out soda and only have a glass or two of wine on the weekend. Mindful eating and listening to when my body tells me I am full really helps. This has been a lifesaver for me. 30 more pounds to go in 3 or 4 more months. Taking this slow to keep it off for good."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've been taking Belviq for 33 days and am quitting it today. During this period, with proper diet and exercise, I lost 4 pounds. The side effects have increased rather than decreased. I'm extremely tired, weak, and dizzy at times. My blood pressure is normally low, but it is lower now. Given the 1500-calorie eating program I'm following and regular exercise, I'm more concerned about the side effects as they're decreasing the quality of my life. I can do better than this on my own without the added risks of side effects."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Garbage. Note they no longer offer the 15-day free trial. I shelled out $160 for pills that make me dizzy (like drunk) and exhausted. I gained weight because I couldn't find the energy to get off the couch. I gave them over 2 weeks to get into my system, suffering the whole time with no benefit. I wish I hadn't bothered."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been taking Belviq for 1 month, but I'm going to stop because the side effects are too much. The first week I experienced extreme dizziness, fatigue, and muscle soreness. I powered through, and the dizziness finally went away. However, the extreme fatigue and muscle soreness were too much. I tried only one pill a day, but it didn't help the side effects. I stopped taking Belviq three days ago, and the muscle soreness is completely gone, and the fatigue is better. I was so tired I couldn't even work a full day and didn't have the energy to hardly walk. However, it was effective at weight loss. I lost 4% of my body weight the first month."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Belviq one week ago, I got on the scale, I'm 3 lbs up. My legs have been swollen since yesterday. I feel dizzy and fatigued taking it. I've been eating less and exercising at least 3 times in the past week. I don't think this pill is for me. I'm feeling uncomfortable with swollen legs, it's scary. I will call my physician tomorrow to see what I can do for this to go away, but I won't take another pill after this."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Belviq XR on Oct. 5, 2018, at 214 lbs. Today is Oct. 17, 2018, and I weighed in at 208 lbs. As far as side effects, I have experienced some dizziness first thing in the morning, slight headaches every now and then, but nothing major that I can't tolerate. I've only experienced nausea twice. Now that I am past the two-week mark, the side effects are becoming unnoticeable. My appetite has decreased dramatically. I also notice that the medicine wears off between 10 pm and 11 pm, which is when I should be asleep, but I'm somewhat of a night owl. Overall, as of now, I am happy with Belviq RX and will continue it and hope for great results. I will be back at my one month with another update!"
