For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am a 22-year-old female, started out weighing 281. I am only 5'5". I have played soccer my whole life, and exercise just wasn't doing anything for me. I have been on Belviq for 5 days now and already down 5 lbs. The first 2 to 3 days, I didn't notice much difference, but on day 4 and 5, my appetite is gone. I am hardly ever hungry and have to remind myself to eat. This medicine is great. I would recommend it to anybody. The side effects lasted the first couple of days: headache (solved by over-the-counter ibuprofen) and constipation, but all have already subsided. I will keep you posted with my results."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Great medicine for weight loss and helps control your appetite. No major side effects aside from really dry mouth and some constipation, nothing serious. In the first two weeks, I lost 6 lbs. Now, I'm starting my first full month taking two pills a day. My cost was only 50 bucks, which my insurance covered some of the cost, and I also used the savings card you can get online."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've been on Belviq for a week and noticed the difference already. I can fit a pair of jeans that I had difficulty buttoning 2 weeks ago. I eat 2 to 3 times a day and in small portions. I'm not hungry most of the time. I have experienced some of the minor side effects: headaches, constipation, and dry mouth. The plus on that is I'm drinking a lot more water and completely staying away from juices and soda."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I had to sell my physician on Belviq. She was not 100% but came around and now refers to me as the guinea pig. Had rough side effects up front but pushed through them. Headaches, backache, constipation, and nausea to name a few. Lasted about 4 weeks. In the first week, I had to force myself to eat. I'm 9 weeks in and down 25 pounds. Realize I'm content on 1,100 calories. Using MyFitnessPal app. Worried about keeping it off like everyone else. At 41 yrs. old, I thought my metabolism was gone. This medicine is a game changer."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started taking Belviq about 6 weeks ago. When I visited with my doctor to ask about Belviq, he was very apprehensive, as he'd had a few traumatic experiences related to Phen-Phen. We discussed it at length, and he reluctantly agreed to provide me with a prescription, with the caveat that I check in with him once a month. Well, in my first month, I lost 12 lbs! Side effects - initial, some constipation and dry mouth - increased fluid intake and both disappeared. I do feel 'foggy' at times, sleep deeply, and find it hard to wake up. Otherwise, all is well, and I'm finding the side effects decreasing with time. Looking forward to continuing the positive trajectory and getting back to pre-preggo weight!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started taking BELVIQ on 10/30/15, weighing 317 lbs. On 11/17/2015, I weighed 301 lbs. This is a life saver. My blood sugar level in the morning is averaging 85-120 when it used to be 175-250. The only side effects are dry mouth and constipation. You would think insurance companies would cover this medicine on your plan."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am on my 2nd week (7/10/15). First week felt horrible - morning headaches, severe dry mouth... actually gained weight. At the beginning of the 2nd week - headaches gone but now have mild body aches... still with dry mouth but lost the initial weight plus 2 pounds!! I do not feel hungry at all... but it took about a week for it to kick in. The cost is prohibitive... I will not reorder. Even with insurance, I cannot afford $200.00 out-of-pocket. It DOES NOT give you energy like Phentermine... just makes you feel full. Oh, also, very constipating!!!!! I will finish the bottle - it is working for me. You have to be a 'responder' to this medication, and only 50% of people are (I didn't know that) see if you can get the first 15 days free."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Another update: I have officially been on Belviq XR for 1 month. I am down 10 pounds. I am watching what I eat and going to the gym 3X per week. (I've been doing the gym for about 2 1/2 weeks now.) I felt like the pill isn't lasting as long as it was: I was feeling hungry at night. So my Dr. has now switched me to the regular Belviq 10 mg 2x daily. Took that first pill this morning. I feel a tad nauseous, like I wish I hadn't eaten breakfast (which was small). The only side effects I experience are: I'm cold all the time, super thirsty, and occasional constipation. All things that I can handle. I have high blood pressure, but my blood pressure has gone down this past month! I see the Dr. again in a month and will update then."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Day 6 on Belviq, no more mild headaches, much, much less if at all yawning shortly after swallowing it, no muscle problems, no sleep problems, finally now feeling less hungry! But I do continue to be constipated."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Began the free trial and took Belviq for 2 full weeks. No weight loss at all, not even a pound! Made me feel very tired and irritable. Had trouble waking up in the morning. Had a dull headache and constipation. I would highly recommend utilizing the free trial first. This medicine can be very costly."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Belviq has been a huge disappointment. I have suffered from the following symptoms: exhaustion, constipation, and brain fog. I not only didn't lose a pound in 1 1/2 months, I gained 5 pounds. The fine print, which I hadn't read, says that you can lose 5% of your body weight. Who in their right mind would pay this kind of money for a 5% loss? $313.00 in my area, not covered by insurance, with the Belviq coupon, it drops to $113.00. I have colitis and am an insomniac, so I didn't have to deal with constant diarrhea (only went every 3 days) and slept through the night without medication (but wanted to sleep all day, hence too tired to move and maybe the weight gain). I wish I had read reviews like this before I wasted my time and money. I would like to say that I work out 4 times a week at the gym, walk over 6 miles 4 times a week, eat well, and don't drink, so this was a last hope for me to try to get rid of the fat around my middle from the Cushing's syndrome I was diagnosed with 4 years ago."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on this medication since January 1st and have lost 26 pounds in addition to working out 3-4 times a week for an hour. I love this medication, it takes away appetite. The only side effects are dry mouth and constipation, and my doctor has me taking Miralax for that."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Belviq on Friday, and I have to say my cravings for food are pretty much gone. I have been making myself eat because I know I need the nutrients. All weekend, I felt a desire to eat more healthily when we went out to eat, and also I passed up candy and sweets, which are my favorites. I have been constipated, which is uncomfortable, so today I am going to add more fiber to my diet to see if it will help. I think Belviq, along with eating mostly right and exercise, will really work!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've been on Belviq for two weeks and one day. I started at 145 and lost 5 on my own and was stuck. Since adding Belviq, I've lost another 7 pounds. The trick is to listen to your brain. Could I eat until I'm too full? Yes. But do I? No. Most of the time, I don't even feel hungry, so I eat half or even less than half of my normal portion. Now that the temp outside is getting warmer, I'm starting to run again, and I'm sure it will speed things along that much more. I've been tracking my calories, and I usually eat 600 or less, and I don't feel deprived at all. Expensive, but it's worth it. Only side effects I've had are dry mouth and constipation, but that's nothing some water and a mild laxative can't cure."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Only side effect, occasional mild constipation. It has been easier to get to the gym and eat less with no hunger or cravings."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Just a 54-year-old, 5'9'', 244-pound guy. I was considering bypass and was advised by a friend that the surgery is not the answer. Well, 13 months later, I shed forty-nine pounds and feel pretty great. I am up to walking two miles a week, and please don't laugh. No big side effects except a little constipation. My doctor is now a believer that this can help. Wish me luck."
