"I started belviq July 6 2018. I've been taking it exactly one week. I've experienced headaches and dizziness. I normally eat around 1030 in the morning. I eat lunch and sometimes drink a protein shake or half of one. I am extremely tired. I weigh 232. I am trying to lose 20 or 30 lbs. After my hysterectomy I haven't been able to lose weight. I am praying this works. I started 4.19.18 walking 3 miles for 6 days no results a few inches...I'll keep you posted. I don't feel like walking because of fatigue but I still do water aerobics 4 to 5 days a week."

"I first filled my script in April I did leave a review this is an update. I skipped filling my prescription in May . I lost 10lbs in the first month using and kept if off while not using in May then at the start of June I did refill again . I have not had any side effects as of yet. I suggest eating a balanced meal then taking Belviq because if you go the route of skipping meals it will wear off and you will binge eat. It does kick craving to the curb. I take mine at 10 than again around 7 I do this because I am a night time eater and I mean get up at 1 and just ravage my fridge, I’m waiting for ”that time of month” women weigh yourselves after, as I gain up to 6 pounds usually prior , I started at 255lb and last time weighed was 237lb . I will eat junk if I allow myself you will too so try to keep it clean you still need to commit , once I get my work schedule under control I’m hoping some running and weight lifting will max my results"

"My doctor started me on this after I complained of not being able to lose weight after my hysterectomy and having hypothyroidism. I weighed myself the morning I started the pills. I am on the Belviq 10mg twice a day. I weighed myself this morning and I have lost 3.8lbs! Today is day 5!! The only side effect I have gotten was a headache after the second pill of the day. But I take 3 Motrin and 1 Tylenol..and headache goes away. No headache today at all!!"

"I used Belviq several years ago and experienced a 40 pound weight loss over six months' time. It is the only product that has worked for me without significant side effects. I was watching what I ate, but mostly I noticed that I got full faster and didn't have cravings. I did go to Belviq XR about a year ago, and I did not have the same results. My doctor is putting me back on Belviq with a high-protein/low salt, fat, carbo diet and daily exercise routine. Hopefully, I can achieve similar results to the ones I experiences in former years of using the original product."

"I have just started Belviq as of two weeks ago. I needed help suppressing my hunger , I never felt full. My calorie intake was anywhere 2000-2400 even with workouts that kind of eating will cause havoc on your waist line. With Belviq I have successfully dropped my calorie intake to 1375 without feeling starved. I do not suggest using this medication to skip on meals. It’s suppresses hunger that does not mean your body no longer needs to eat . I feel like that could cause bingeing and achiness .I am losing some real weight with water weight. I would like to share my stats from two weeks or the 9th of April 5’5 female at 251 lbs Today is the 18th and I have gone down to 245lb. I think that’s pretty great it took a few days to kick in but it does, give it time. I took ibuprofen the first two days after reading the reviews. No headache that turned into anything. I will leave a one month review as well Definitely sign up for a Belviq savings card at Belviqs website."

"I started Belviq on Friday and I have to say my cravings for food are pretty much gone. I have been making myself eat because I know I need the nutrients. All weekend I felt a desire to eat more healthy when we went out to eat and also I passed up candy and sweets which are my favourite. I have been constipated which is uncomfortable so today I am going to add more Fiber to my diet to see if it will help. I think Belviq along with eating mostly right and exercise will really work!"

"I tried Belviq for obesity last year in 2017 and it did give me a fast heart rate and made me super tired. It did not curb my appetite in the slightest. It was very expensive $$$ and just a waste of my money and my time. I did print out coupons that would say 80% off, but the pharmacy would not honor them. I even had a free Belviq coupon that they would not honor. Totally not satisfied at all. :("

"Well I spoke with my doctor and she determined that Belviq might work for me. I'm game for anything to jump start my weight loss. I started on today and we'll see how I feel. I'll journal my progress and share when there is something to tell."

"Today is my first day taking Belviq 10 mg. I'm 27 years old, 5'4", and currently weigh in at 202 lbs. I've been exercising for 30-45 minutes 6 days a week doing the Insanity workout, while maintaining a low carb diet between 1,000-1,200 calories a day for about 2 months with no success in losing. So here's to hoping this little pill can get the fire started and help me in the right direction. Insurance covered the majority of the script with a co-pay of $60. However the savings card provided by my doctor brought the co-pay down to $40. Will update with results after 1 month."

"I took Belviq 2x a day about two years ago. It did give me the headache, tiredness, cold symptoms, but they went away after a few weeks. I lost 45 lbs., which I loved. I am back on the Belviq XR, once a day. This one did not give me as much side effects. I did get a little headache and chills, but it seems to be going away. I am on my 5th day. No loss of appetite yet, but I am optimistic because I know it worked before. I do Zumba 3 to 4 times a week so exercise is not the answer for me, its eating less so I am watching what I eat and using myfitnesspal app. It costs me $98 now because the prices went up. Good luck to everyone. I say do not give up, just be patient!"

"I previously reviewed this favorably. However, after 2 months the effect more or less vanished. It was initially great for appetite control. I had no late night cravings and even had to remind myself to eat during the day. But after a while the night cravings returned and now it is not terribly effective. I'd recommend this to anyone who seeks a short term solution to lose a reasonable amount of weight. For long term use it seems to lose its efficacy."

"I originally wrote a long review on my end, but I see space is limited, which is a huge disservice. Took med for 15 months. I had a rapid heartbeat for a few weeks, but still took med. Desperate. I was fortunate that was my only side effect. It did not kick in for 5 days. NEVER was I not hungry enough to eat, and it was no match for PMS eating. Was diagnosed with PCOS 8 yrs. ago, & gained 50 lbs. Lost 35 on my own, gained back 25. Next step was Belviq from my endo. Some weeks I lost, some I gained. Nothing ever dramatic. This is NOT a magic pill. I exercised 4-5x/week like I did before taking. Greedy pharma kept boosting price. "Discount" is a drop in the bucket. $100/month is way too much. I lost 15 lbs. in those 15 months. Not worth it."

"I began this medication a few days ago and it's been a Godsend, thus far. My main problem in the past has been nocturnal eating. I'd wake up, barrel down to the kitchen and -- whilst half asleep -- devour PB&J, pasta, whatever-the-heck was in the fridge. That's gone. As a result, I've been sleeping through the night. I don't often feel hungry and when I do I control my portions with ease. No nausea or headaches - yet. I felt a bit "strange" my first day on it, but that may have been a result of not feeling hungry 100% of the time. I was also slightly lightheaded my second day; may have been a result of reduced caloric intake. I've yo-yoed a lot and finally feel that the monkey is slipping off my back. RECOMMENDED."

"I am a 56 y/o female who had gained approx 100 lbs in the last 10 yrs. . I was on phentermine which helped me lose 40 lbs. but then it stopped. I couldn't get under 208 lbs. I did my due research on Belviq and got a prescription. I had to jump through some hoops to get it approved but it has been well worth it. I've been taking it one week now and my appetite has decreased. The first few days I learned that I was still overeating even though I wasn't hungry- I am having to retrain my thought process that just because it tastes good doesn't mean I need to keep eating if I'm not hungry. As with any diet pill you still need to modify how you look at food- need vs want. Belviq is definitely the beginning of a beautiful journey!"

"I began taking Belviq 10 mg twice a day May 25, 2017. I have noticed that I am making better choices about the foods I eat, while not reaching for the sugary snacks after 7:00pm. As of today, August 8, 2017 I am down the required 5% that my insurance company requires to continue the medicine. I haven't found any noticeable side effects, mainly because even before I took this I was constantly fatigued due to life situation/stress. I went into this seeing people commenting about "Oh, I lost 20# my first month" but for me, that's not the case. I need the bump the medicine gives me to slowly lose the weight. No reason to rush it and I think because of that attitude, I'm more pleased with my results. Looking forward to next 12 weeks!"

"I started Bleviqs last night. I was told to take one 20mg pill before bed. Reason is because my dr said one of the side effects is being tired. Well I barely slept 6 hrs. Had opposite effects. However, I felt slightly dizzy, achey (even my hands hurt) and cold like symptoms. I don't know if the sneezing and coughing are a coincidence or a side effect. I have read it is, but I only had the one pill. We went to dinner tonight. After I ate, I got sick to my stomach and needed to lay down. I'm having the hardest time losing weight. I have been on a lot of different supplements. I'm not sure this is worth it."

"For the person talking about the cost. My Doctor gave me a coupon (more like an insurance card). I registered it while sitting at the pharmacy and a few hours later I was in the data base. It went from somewhere around $320.00 to $80.00. It seemed to offer reduced costs for insured or uninsured people."

"I just started the drug three days ago. I did have headaches although it may have been from sugar withdrawal fatigue was a issue. I am still hungry but I watch what I eat. The drug allows a fullness much quicker. I have had a gasto by pass 20 years ago. I feel it's helpful. I will write my progress"

"I am on day 4 of taking belviq. I am currently only taking one pill a day because I forget to take the other pill. I am down 6.4 pounds with minimal side effects. I am very pleased with the results so far and excited to see the future results. My only problem is the cost of the pills. My insurance did not cover the medication but I did use the discount card from the manufacturer. I paid out of pocket about $90.00"

"The drug works. I needed to exercise. Without exercise I experience headaches and weird dreams. But when I get out and walk, I feel much much better and the weight comes off faster to. I went from 265lb down to 195lb and my enthusiasm for walking and finally hitting the gym, increased. I lost all the cravings and especially the feeling that I'm hungry all the time. That helped me get started. Then eating very little each day and exercising is the key. HOWEVER, don't stop taking the drug cold turkey. I did that, and I turned lethargic and my hunger and cravings for fast food, doughnuts, ice cream and sugary drinks hit twice as hard and I gained back 85 pounds. Now I have to start all over."

"So, I started Belviq a few weeks ago. I sometimes had headaches but nothing a few advil wouldn't cure. It took about 2 weeks for the medicine to start working. You have to be patient and remember this is a serotonin drug, it affects the serotonin in your brain which controls hunger and feeling of fullness. Its just like when you take medicine for depression, anxiety, OCD, they take time to work. I was very surprised I did not have any side effects to speak of because I am super sensitive to medication. I am less hungry and I do not find myself thinking of food all the time. I have lost 4 pounds thus far and am hoping to continue losing weight."
