For ADHD "My son started Vyvanse two weeks ago, and the difference is incredible. He has never had behavioral issues and only suffers from ADD. He just couldn't concentrate or stay on task. Reading was a nightmare, and he was barely managing to pass. We were scared of trying any medicines but are so glad that we did. He did experience a few side effects such as headaches and nausea the first few days, but those have passed. Most important, he is still my son, no zombies. Homework is easy, and his teacher already reports better grades. I encourage any parent to at least try this medicine. It has improved our quality of life even. We have more time for fun stuff, and I don't have to nag him constantly to do his normal chores. They get done the first time."

For ADHD "Vyvanse has been an up-and-down experience. First taking it, it upset my stomach, that went away after a few weeks. The first week was very emotionally happy. I felt like I stepped into life for the first time. But every day at 2 pm, my ADHD would start returning. As time went on, 2 pm went from just ADHD to ADHD, extreme irritability, bad headaches, and nearly nonfunctional. My doctor upped my dose, but that did nothing. Currently waiting for my next appointment to switch medications. If it actually lasted even just 8 hours, I would stay on it. It truly is life-changing for 4-5 hours, lol symptom-free 4-5 hours isn't worth how I feel during what they call 'the crash.'"

For ADHD "I have taken Adderall since I was 12 and recently changed to Vyvanse about 2 years ago (I am 38 years old). It is a miracle! I only take one 70 mg capsule orally in the morning. My morning starts early with three children to daycare and the bus, then work. And I work weekends as well. I’m able to have my foggy brain for ten to twenty minutes, and then I can step by step get each task through the day completed and then I am home ready for bed. I have clear thoughts, and I don’t stop in the middle of five chores or jobs and get all frustrated. All positive, but I do not have insurance and my thirty quantity of 70 mg costs $223 with the Vyvanse discount card that basically takes off $90. It is about $312 without. When I had insurance, my script was $60. I also get a lot of headaches. Adderall was just not working anymore, and that was even sticking Concerta in for a couple of months. Thank you, Vyvanse, and Shire manufacturer, generic, 2023."

For ADHD "I am fifteen years old and started taking Vyvanse 30 mg dose in October. I moved to 50 mg and am now at 70 mg. At the lower dose, I noticed a definite improvement in my attention span and work ethic. On the 70 mg, I feel anxious, depressed, and I have headaches constantly. I feel like isolating myself socially from everyone else and am extremely moody. I do not recommend more than 50 mg of this medication to anyone."

For ADHD "I have been diagnosed with ADHD since I was 6. I am now 26 years old, and just 3 years ago, I wanted to be retested just to make sure if I even still have ADHD as bad as I did when I was a kid, and of course, it hasn't toned down. I have taken Ritalin, and it made me very angry at night and a zombie by day. I have also taken Adderall, which I like and maybe might switch back. Vyvanse really helps me focus, gives me a positive attitude, and more energy, but I get the worst migraines at night every night. Ritalin gave me headaches as well, and I can barely sleep. I thought maybe I needed a new mattress, so I bought a great one, and I'm still waking up a thousand times a night. It has its pros and cons like everything else."

For ADHD "I started taking this my senior year in high school, and after 6 months on it, my GPA has come up at least 1 point! I take it during the week, and I have no problems with headaches or loss of appetite, and it helps wake me up and keep me up. I love it!"

For ADHD "I am 46 years old and was officially diagnosed with ADD last year. My doctor put me on Adderall. It worked wonders, as long as I remembered to take my second pill. Since my insurance did not cover the extended release, I was put on Vyvanse 54 mg, I think. My focus is longer-acting, which increases my functionality at work, however, the side effects have been unfavorable for me. I have headaches, diarrhea at least two times a day, nausea, extreme irritability, extreme dry mouth, gained seven pounds this month, feeling more depressed, and halfway through the day, I get very tired and feel like I am waiting for the second wave of medication to hit. My follow-up with my doctor is tomorrow, and I am going to request to go back to Adderall. I just think overall, I was a more pleasant and functional person. I do not want to try yet another ADD medication because I am scared of more side effects, and I had minimal side effects on Adderall. I am glad that Vyvanse helps some people, but it doesn’t work for everyone."

For ADHD "I'm 17 years old, and I have been taking Vyvanse for 4 years now, and I take 70 mg. It works so well, but the side effects are awful. My back, neck, and wrists hurt, and I can't fall asleep, and I have killer headaches, and I have shortness of breath, and I become socially awkward. Like, typically I'm a very sociable person, but when I take my meds, I don't talk."

For ADHD "I got diagnosed about a month ago with ADHD. I also have GAD, depression, and severe migraines. I was very disorganized, didn't finish tasks, depressed, super anxious. I would try to talk to someone, and my mind was elsewhere and had no idea what they were saying. I started Vyvanse 30 mg, it helped for about a week for all my symptoms, even my migraines! I could sleep like a baby at night. After that, it helped in the morning. In the afternoon, I would feel depressed, like I could cry at anything, the anxiety was still gone, but everything else came back, including the daily headaches. My doctor switched me to 60 mg. I hope it lasts longer than the 30 mg, so far, so good, it's only been 2 days. I'd recommend it."

For ADHD "Been taking the drug for 2 weeks. The dosage is 70. I have adult ADHD. The side effects I am experiencing are a slight headache during sleep, and I am experiencing insomnia. Probably need to check my blood pressure more often. I am not all that happy with current results."

For ADHD "I'm 17 and on 60 mg of Vyvanse. I weigh about 112 lbs. I don't know if it's too high a dose, but ever since I got it increased from 50 to 60 mg, I've been feeling actually tired, which is a surprise to me because it's a stimulant. I've also had more intense dizziness and headaches, and I had heart palpitations on the 50, but now they're more frequent, and chest pain, heart races, but I'm able to focus a little better."

For ADHD "My son who is 7 has been taking 20 mg for over 1.5 years. At first, it seemed to really help. Schoolwork was going great. His teacher could tell a huge difference. But the last 6 months it's going downhill... emotional, headaches, crying over anything, even spilled milk, literally. Can't sleep. He's totally a changed boy for the bad. And his doctor won't change. I'm thinking his body just got used to the medicine."

For ADHD "I have just started using Vyvanse a couple of days ago. Even though I haven't been on it for very long, I already notice some differences in my everyday life. Almost everything has changed for the greater good. The only bad thing I have to pick on is that I have experienced a multitude of side effects, such as headaches, rapid heartbeats, and dizziness. Other than that, I like Vyvanse so far. My opinion in the future may or may not change, but most likely not. The effects of Vyvanse are pretty immediate, for me at least. It has also come to my attention that some people don't notice any change sometimes."

For ADHD "I started using Vyvanse 3-4 weeks ago. Not good for me. Started from 10 mg and experienced headache, nausea, and dry mouth. Felt like a drunk person. Not feeling like an energetic and sharp person. Could sleep any time I want. Increased to 20 mg and experienced heart pain and woke up with my left eye all red. I thought that it was allergies to some flowers. Increased dosage to 30 mg and experienced chest pain and heart pain. Very scary for me, so I stopped. The concentration level increased but not as I expected. The chest pain was very scary for me."

For ADHD "Today was my first day taking Vyvanse, and wow! I usually have a sad, down feeling and don't want to talk to anyone. I am a 26-year-old college student. But today, I actually made two new friends from class and went to lunch with them. I feel like I can walk into a room with confidence now. The only bad thing is I did have a mild headache around 9 p.m. After it wore off and it only lasted around 8 hours, with a dry mouth. I am on the 60 mg dose. The other great thing is I actually felt like being in class today, took 7 pages of notes, sat in the very front of the class, and wasn't afraid to ask questions! I'm happy to have found Vyvanse, and paying attention is so much easier now. Highly recommended for people with ADD."

For Depression "I am on my third day of taking this now. First day: mild headache that got worse as the day went on, mild upset stomach, sleeping normal, itchy at night. Second day: bouts of nausea, strange uncomfortable feeling, hot and cold flashes, not a good sleep, itchy at night (worse). Third day: feel really moody, negative, and I have a strange feeling, also exhausted. It clearly isn't for me. I don't feel like 'myself' in three days? Kind of scary."

For ADHD "I am 20 yrs old and I have been taking Vyvanse for about 2 years now. I take 60mg about the same time each morning, and it really does wonders in helping me concentrate and getting everything done both at home and school. I've noticed a BIG difference in myself on the days I do take it and on the days I don't. Only side effects are the loss of appetite, headaches from not eating (from the loss of appetite), dry mouth, irritability, and now I have depression. Don't know if I should lower my dosage now or maybe it's from another cause."

For ADHD "I am so much calmer! And can just do work when I want to do work or other chores and not get so overwhelmed. Had some headaches the first week or so, but since timing it better and eating more when taking it, I feel fine :)"

For ADHD "I've been taking Vyvanse for a couple of months, and I've learned that the first couple of weeks taking the medication is really the hardest when it comes to side effects. I suffered from dry mouth, loss of appetite, headaches, some but very few mood swings. As far as sleep, I crash at the end of the day, which can be due to this medication. I am irritable every now and then, but before, I was very frustrated with everyday activities. It gives me energy for the most part. I'm not shaky or nervous like I was on Adderall XR. I haven't lost a ton of weight on Vyvanse, unlike Adderall, which I lost 60 pounds on within 4 months."

For ADHD "It works, very well, in fact, but I am getting really annoying side effects. Dry mouth, stomach pains, on the first day I take it, after it completely gets out of my system, I usually get headaches. I also barely eat, instead of eating about 3 steaks, I can only eat half a steak. Most people's side effects aren't as bad as mine, though."

For ADHD "I have ADHD plus anxiety. I was diagnosed 20 years ago. I've always had difficulties in school, work, and life because of this. I've been on Ritalin, Adderall, Strattera (awful med), plus 30 or more anti-depressants, anxiety meds, seems anything from A-Z. I started 20 mg Vyvanse a month ago. First 6 days okay...had headaches. Then came irritability, paranoia, crying, scared, ALL negative. Concentrated too hard, more mistakes at work. I purposely dumped it in the sink. Only positive: 1-3 hours of energy. Doc switched me to Metadate CD. After 3 days, the fog began to lift and no side effects. I'm sorry I wasted $50. But that's life and today I'm good."

For ADHD "I am 49, female, and was taking 30 mg Dexamphetamine a day and switched to 30 mg Vyvanse two months ago. It was great for the first few weeks, but then I started having suicidal thoughts and really bad moods. I didn’t have any motivation or enjoyment for anything, I couldn’t think, had headaches, and I started isolating myself from everyone. I started getting severe night sweats and was waking up in pools of sweat. Some hot flashes at night are normal for me due to menopause, but this was out of control. It seemed like my brain was on high alert, and I was waking up 10 or more times a night, so I was exhausted by the morning, and my brain wasn’t getting any rest. I am back on 30 mg Dexamphetamine, and all of the above symptoms have stopped. It is great to feel happy again. I have no doubt Vyvanse works great for some people, and I may revisit it again down the track."

For ADHD "Great and helps pay attention, but if you take a high dose (30 mg or more), it can give really severe headaches. Drinking caffeinated drinks may help reduce it."

For ADHD "My son Dylan, who is 12, has just started taking Vyvanse 7 days ago, and I have seen a really big change in his mood and the way he feels about life. He is so much happier and smiles a lot more. He was previously taking Medidate. He was very moody and depressed. They have behavior cards in school, and he was always getting negative marks. Since the switch to Vyvanse, he is getting 6 positives a day. In the 6th and 7th day, he has had vomiting, the shakes, and headaches. Only downfall so far."
