Linaclotide for Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Constipation "My experience with this medication has been absolutely horrible! I have been taking it for 2 months, I have severe bloating, gas, and bad diarrhea. Can't even leave my home. My doctor told me to cut back to one pill every other day, and it's like it has completely stopped working. I have bad pain and nothing coming out! I have had irritable bowel syndrome for 14 years, and I just wish they could come up with something that works and that's not so harsh on your bowels! It's absolutely terrible!"

For Constipation, Chronic "Following bowel surgery 5 years ago, I am unable to empty my bowel normally. I have to do this by hand, which is disgusting, painful, and definitely not a great experience. I was put on linaclotide by my consultant because of extreme pain following meals. As of yet, I have not had any improvement, and I have noticed that my bowel movements have become more difficult to remove. I will continue with the medicine for a while longer, if there continues to be no improvement, then I will stop."

Linaclotide for Chronic Idiopathic Constipation "Started taking Linzess. After 9 days, every symptom and constipation was worse. Slowly got a bigger and bigger distended stomach that is painful. Discontinuing use."

Linaclotide for Chronic Idiopathic Constipation "Seemed to make me worse. Was using a magnesium compound which, although harsh, cleared me out. First day adding Linzess, experienced the worst backup in weeks. Horrible pain. No more."
