For Emergency Contraception "My boyfriend and I were having sex, and the condom broke, right at the tip (of course). He did not ejaculate yet, so we quickly stopped and went straight to the store to get Plan B. I knew that I was very close to ovulation, so the timing was important. I took the pill within 2 hours. Over the next few days, I noticed little to no symptoms. I was tired the first few days, but that could've easily been due to other causes. I was obviously very anxious to get my period. On the 5th night after I took it, I noticed some brown discharge. I was a little worried that it was implantation bleeding. When I woke up, I had gotten my period very heavily. Now I can breathe relief! Thank you, Plan B!"

For Emergency Contraception "This pill saved my life! I am 18 and had sex with my boyfriend on Oct. 1. It was his first time, and he didn't know that he needed to pull out. (Crazy, right?) Not to mention, I'm not on birth control. It was 8 days exactly after ovulation for me. Freaking out, I went to sleep and woke up the next morning to get the pill. I took it and only had a couple of side effects. I was VERY tired after taking the pill. After that, I had slight back pain for a while and short cramps. My period was due to start on the 7th of October. I slightly spotted the day before, but now it is October 7th, and I have a full-blown period!! Thanks to this pill, I won't be a mom at 18, and I won't have my boyfriend having a kid. Thanks, B!!"

For Emergency Contraception "Thank you, Plan B! On May 5th (Friday), I had intercourse with my boyfriend, and he finished inside of me! A complete mess! I was sure I would have gotten pregnant off of that! I freaked out and ran to the pharmacy and took the pill within 1 hour. On Sunday, May 7th, the same thing happened again! (I know, I know, shame on me!) But once again, he slipped up, and I took the pill within 1 hour again. I had no side effects except tiredness, and today I got my period, May 12th! Thank God! I know Plan B works because obviously, I got my period, so I'm not pregnant, but I also know I'm very fertile, so the fact that I'm very fertile and considering my boyfriend came inside of me and I didn't get pregnant thanks to Plan B, that's a true miracle!"

For Emergency Contraception "For everyone reading this who is scared that they are pregnant, there is hope! My boyfriend and I were drunk and had unprotected sex. It wasn’t until after that I realized I was ovulating and in my fertile week (according to Flo). I took the pill 6 hours after when the store was open and felt awful. I had cramps on and off for a week and was so tired. Around day 6 after taking the pill, I started spotting. I was sure it was implantation bleeding until it got heavier the next few days. My period came two days early! It messes with your body, but it does what it’s supposed to do!"

For Emergency Contraception "My last period was on Jan 25th. My cycle is about 30-32 days. I had unprotected sex on Feb 5th and took Plan B the next morning, Feb 6th (16 hours). On Feb 11th, I had some bleeding that started off brown, then turned into red like my usual period, it lasted for 3-4 days. My expected period was Feb 26th, but it never came. I basically missed a period for that month. I was very bloated, tired, dizzy, having abdominal pain, and feeling nauseated around that time. I freaked out and took a total of 6 HPT (plus 1 that was done at Planned Parenthood), which were all negative. I just got my period today (March 19th) - 6 weeks after Plan B and 3 weeks after a missed period."

For Emergency Contraception "Last week I took Plan B 10 hours after our accident happened. I feel tired and mellow, but not depressed. I started spotting and bleeding all day today. My next cycle is due on March 6th, so I have a lot of time to wait and see if the pill actually worked."

For Emergency Contraception "I have taken Plan B in emergency situations only, 3 times over the past years. Each time I was exhausted and had stomach upset the day of, until 3 days later. This last time I took Plan B, my menstrual cycle started 2 weeks early, and less than 6 days after I took the pill. This scared me even though the side effects were clearly stated on the box and insert. Menstrual changes can occur, and it can arrive early, but 2 weeks early?"

"First of all, I’ve been reading reviews for YEARS because of panic and worry, and they’ve always made them worse. Somehow, this site randomly appeared, and when I tell you how relieved I felt reading everyone’s reviews, I mean it!! I had unprotected sex on the 18th of Feb during my day of ovulation, he didn’t finish in me, but I was super worried because we’ve messed up before, and I’ve had to get an abortion because of it. The day I took it, my boobs were SORE, and the pain didn’t go away. Two weeks pass, and I’m frequently urinating, my nipples are dark, and I’m constantly tired? I convinced myself I was pregnant, but then, two days before my period was due, it came! Please, ladies, it’s going to be ok! Don’t panic, the pill CAN work even when you’re ovulating! Just try to take it as soon as you can, just in case! Good luck to you all"

For Emergency Contraception "So, I had unprotected sex about a week ago, and we used the 'pullout' method. He didn't ejaculate in me, but I was still nervous, so I went and bought Plan B about 4 hours later and took it. The only side effect I had was being very tired for about the next two days. I was extremely stressed for this past weekend, waiting for my period to come. It finally came today! It is great! Just relax, and don't stress, the pill will work if you give it some time."

For Emergency Contraception "These reviews are the only thing that kept me sane, so I am contributing my own. I am 41 and 145 pounds. We had a condom slip off during sex (day 9 of a 27-day cycle, within 4-5 days of ovulation) unable to locate a pill locally until 36-40 hours after. The paranoia began immediately after taking it. Lower abdominal cramping, nausea, tiredness. This continued every single day. I started drinking ginger parsley tea (3 glasses a day) on day 17. Severe nipple tenderness began on day 17. I gained weight EVERY DAY. My cervical position was remaining high and soft. I was convinced it did not work. On day 20, my period came, it was extremely HEAVY. I will NEVER take this again. I gained 5-6 pounds in 2 weeks, impossible given my diet and activity level. I am glad it was there for me when I needed it, but I am going to look into a non-hormonal IUD."

For Emergency Contraception "Honestly, I am not on birth control yet. I'm 23, 101 lbs, and I have had Graves' disease in my early childhood. I had sex with my boyfriend on April 17th and took the Plan B pill 4 hours after. Day one of taking the pill, I felt very tired. Day two, I felt slightly nauseous but did not vomit. Day three, I still felt the same as day two. For the rest of that week, I felt just tired, bloated, and nauseous. There was little blood when I used the bathroom. All I can say is I felt some things that made me feel confused about what was happening in my body. Finally, on April 24th, I got my period! It was a little blood at first, then, the next day, the blood flow was very heavy. So basically, I got my period twice in one month. But I'm not pregnant!"

For Emergency Contraception "I took Plan B mid-September after unprotected intercourse. I experienced spotting several times in October, and for the month of October, I thought I was pregnant! I had nearly all the symptoms of pregnancy: nausea, tiredness, headaches, cramping, and moodiness, not to mention breast tenderness. I was anxiously awaiting my period ALL MONTH. I did get some spotting and immediately thought it was implantation bleeding, but Plan B also has breakthrough bleeding. Felt like I experienced nausea almost all of October. I was also scared to take a test! After waiting nearly a month, I finally got my menstrual cycle at the beginning of November, but it came back with a vengeance. But I couldn't have it any other way and am so thankful to see blood, lol. Please, please, girls, get on birth control: IUDs, Depo-Provera, pills, or implants, and use condoms! Plan B is an expensive pill ($30 to $50), but it's better than paying for diapers and stuff for a baby, which can be hundreds a month or thousands. Much love, xx."

For Emergency Contraception "This drug works but has horrible side effects! I literally felt crazy. Mood swings and anxiety are almost unbearable. Breast tenderness, bloating, and abdominal pain made me want to crawl out of my skin. Felt pregnant, nausea, diarrhea, tiredness. What else? Dizziness, fogginess, even my eyes were even blurry. I've taken it before with fewer side effects... I guess it depends on your hormone levels at the time. Please don't take this if you don't have to, but if you do need it, take it!"

For Emergency Contraception "I had sex on the day I was ovulating. He pulled out, but no other protection was used. Three days later, I took Plan B. I was extremely worried that I was pregnant because I had gotten pregnant using the pull-out method before. I definitely thought, because I was ovulating, that Plan B would be useless in preventing pregnancy. My breasts began feeling sore, and I was feeling exhausted, and I definitely thought I was pregnant. I ended up taking some pregnancy tests a few days before my expected period, and they were negative. I went to get some more tests, and when I got home that night, I had started my period. It was right on time, not a day early or late. I did want to come on here and say, however, that when my period did come, it was horrible. Much more painful than usual and heavy bleeding. It's usually not like this, so my best guess is that this was because I took the pill. If you're debating on taking it, especially because of ovulation, just do it."

For Emergency Contraception "I first took this 1.5 years ago. I knew there was no chance of me getting pregnant as I was to get my period any day, but my boyfriend insisted, so I took it. Was a little nauseous and tired and got my period three days later as usual. I took it recently after unprotected sex with a friend with benefits when ovulating. I messed up my ovulation calculations and freaked out when I realized. Took the pill 21 hours after sex and had a terrible feeling. Was tired that week, but that was it. Next week I was sure I was pregnant. Cramping, tired, breast changes, dizzy at times, diarrhea, and nauseous, especially in the evening and at night. I'm a divorced mother, so I know what being pregnant feels like, and I was panicked. Got my period four days early. So happy!!!!"

For Emergency Contraception "I took the Plan B pill the morning after. Was my first time taking it. I was ovulating. We didn't use a condom, but he pulled out. First day, I was a little tired at the end of the day. Second day, a little diarrhea. Nothing more until now, it's day 6 and I've started cramping, and my near my right ovary is hurting a little. Nothing bad. I can't say it worked just yet, but I can say that I didn't have any drastic symptoms. The symptoms you have depend on how your body reacts to the high dosage of hormones. I'm sure it also has to do with whether the pill actually had anything to flush out of your body or not."

For Emergency Contraception "Sex on Jan 19, according to my period tracking app, was OV day. I knew about EC not working if you’ve already ovulated. I’m over the “weight limit” for this pill (I range 185-195 lbs). Took Plan B within 40 minutes. EllaOne pill proven more effective in overweight women, so I took it 56 hrs after - do not recommend this at all. I was crampy, tired, irritable, and had 2 days no appetite. 5-6 days of watery, clear discharge. Period due Feb 1, started Jan 31. Brown rust color discharge. But overnight turned bright red/flow increased. We all have accidents/bad decisions; cycle is not like a machine and doesn’t necessarily ovulate at the exact same time. I am so thankful that this didn’t turn into a very unfavorable situation for me. I can’t say if the EC pills were what prevented an unplanned pregnancy, or if it was the Plan B or Ella. Because of weight, I will stock the Ella pill, but hope to never take it again. Insurance covered Ella (online medical service), Plan B $50 (he paid because I told him to use protection, idiot!)"

For Emergency Contraception "Girls, before you read this, TAKE A BREATH! My boyfriend and I had what we thought was protected sex on November 29th, however, after he finished inside of me, he noticed that the condom had broken. We immediately rushed to the nearest CVS and bought Plan B, and I took it within about 25 minutes of the incident. For the next few days, I felt so awful - I experienced headaches, anxiety (not caused by the pill, simply my own anxiety), and exhaustion. I wasn't quite sure where I was in my cycle since it is only 23 days long, but I assumed that I had just ovulated the day before the accident and I wasn't sure if the egg was still fertile. But after a lot of sleepless nights, I am happy to say that I got my period on its scheduled day, November 8th."

For Emergency Contraception "My boyfriend and I had sex on Friday, and we used protection, but the condom broke. We got Plan B within the first hour, and I took it. I felt a little nauseous and dizzy afterwards, but the side effects throughout the week were dizziness, cramps, and tiredness. We had sex during the week unprotected, but he pulled out. Then we got worried and scared, started thinking of all the bad things that could happen. But then the next Saturday came around, and I ended up getting my period. I was so relieved, and I was shocked. I’m here to show you all that this stuff works. Yes, it might take a while for others, it depends on how early you take it. But in the end, it winds up working. I promise you it works. It will help, stay strong."

For Emergency Contraception "To make my story short, I lost my virginity to a guy I knew about a year and a half ago, and recently we started talking this year. Although he didn't come in me or anything, I was really worried because of the things I kept reading on the internet about precum. Not to mention I started ovulation that exact day and kept searching pregnancy symptoms, balling my eyes out thinking I was pregnant. (Please don't do that, it will only stress you out). I took the pill about 27 hours later, and for the next days, I was super tired, my breasts were sore, and I was really zoned out at uni, not paying attention in the lessons. I was supposed to get my period on the 8th of November, but it came 5 days earlier. I do usually tend to get my period a week earlier than the previous one. But at least I'm not expecting a baby because I don't see myself having a baby right now, especially because it is such the wrong time, and to mention I am not dating this guy. Stay safe and use protection, ladies."

For Emergency Contraception "I'm currently not on any birth control, and the condom broke, we noticed it after the deed was done. I was on day 16 of my cycle (the day after ovulation), so I was in a very fertile stage. I've never taken Plan B before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I took it within 2 hours after the incident. The next 24 hours after taking it, I felt really nauseous and tired. I also had bad cramping on and off, mostly in my right side. My period started one day early and 12 days after taking the pill. Not sure if the pill had anything to do with me not getting pregnant or if I just got lucky. I've read in numerous places Plan B won't work if you've ovulated already. Just something to keep in mind, but it's worth a shot for sure."

For Emergency Contraception "I have to say, if you are worried, take a deep breath because it works, however, for me, the side effects were terrible. Had unprotected sex (condom broke), and he did not come inside me. Six hours later, I got paranoid and took Plan B. That was around 1 pm. I felt fine the entire day until 9 pm, when I just started to get diarrhea, nausea, and the feeling of being really tired (my eyes just could not stay focused and wide open). The room was spinning so much I had to sleep on a chair and suck ice cubes. My period was due for another week and a half. The effect lasted for 2-3 days (did not go to school). On the fifth day, I got my period."

For Emergency Contraception "So I had unprotected sex, he didn't come in me, but I was still very nervous, and taking the Plan B allowed myself to relax a little bit. I had sex two days after ovulation, according to my period tracker, however, I’m not sure how accurate this was. Reading these reviews was helpful. The only symptom I experienced after taking the pill was a headache, a few days later, I was extremely tired. Six days after taking the pill, I started having brown spotting, a very light amount. My period ended up coming a day early, and it is the heaviest period I think I've ever had, but I'm thankful for this pill."

For Emergency Contraception "I took this pill, immediately had trouble breathing, nausea, diarrhea, followed by a month so far of getting my period twice, sore breasts, weight gain, weakness, tiredness, heavy cramps, lower back pain, bone-crushing headaches, mood changes, hot flashes, and worst of all, lethargic, out-of-it brain fog. The worst mistake I made, taking this garbage. I would have rather been pregnant. My advice is, don't take it, it's poison."
