For Kidney Infections "Was prescribed levofloxacin 500 mg once a day for 20 days for a suspected kidney infection. After taking the first dose, I started getting very anxious. Then it was followed by a very dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and loss of appetite, and finally a fever of 101. Discontinuing this medication right away. There are safer options out there."

"I have been taking Levaquin for 3 days for bronchitis. Having difficulty sleeping and have no appetite, along with a headache and a persistent fever. So far, still have bronchitis, coughing up mucus and needing an inhaler. The jury is out, however, as I may be better... soon I hope."

For Urinary Tract Infection "It's 3 am, yesterday was my last dose. It helped my UTI. The insomnia was horrible. I either slept for an hour one night, second night 30 minutes, third 30 minutes, fourth about an hour, fifth night still up. So exhausted, couldn't even take a nap. Constant urinating. Low appetite."

For Skin or Soft Tissue Infection "I found this medication to be a rough one. I don't usually have problems with antibiotics like Z-Pak or doxycycline, but this one gave me unrelenting dizziness from the moment I woke till the moment I went to sleep, loss of appetite, and ultimately, after 5 days of taking it, began to cause feelings of pressure in the back of my head. The doctor seemed quite concerned about the head pressure and switched me over to Cipro, which gave me absolutely no side effects at all. On a positive note, this antibiotic did begin working against my pseudomonas skin infection almost immediately. But Cipro seemed to work just as well."
