For Pain "I have torn the cartilage in my ribs several times over the years from my cough variant asthma. It is agonizing and makes each breath painful, which is not great for someone having an asthma exacerbation. The ER will only prescribe Toradol, which not only does not work but gives me the worst stomach pain and bloating (which they think I’m making up for some reason). So I end up leaving the ER in more pain than when I arrived. It seems to be their go-to because they don’t want to prescribe opioids, but it just doesn’t work."

For Pain "They gave me this drug for a pulled muscle in my back. It helped with the pain, but the side effects were not worth it: terrible stomach pain, burning in my stomach, belching, bloating. Three days since the injection, and my stomach is still not back to normal. I will never take this drug again."

For Postoperative Pain "I was prescribed Toradol for pain management after a breast reduction recently and after spine surgery years ago. I found it ineffective both times. I switched to Tylenol extra strength, which is only slightly better for pain, but without the side effects. After spine surgery, I took one Toradol, then threw out the bottle and switched, I also used an ice pack throughout the day. The pain after my breast reduction was much more severe, so I gave the Toradol a few days hoping it would work, but it just gave me horrible stomach pain in addition to the pain from surgery. I don't recommend it for severe pain and will ask for something else in the future."

For Pain "If you have Eosinophilic esophagitis (EOE)... DO NOT TAKE OR ACCEPT THIS DRUG!!!! I went into the ER for arm and chest pain. (No heart attack... I believe it was my EOE causing spasming.) The doctor didn’t bat an eye when I told him I have EOE. I got the injection form, and right off the bat started having issues with it. It also did diddly squat for the pain that I went in for. I told the doctor I wasn’t feeling right (sick to my stomach and dizzy at the time). He took my oxygen level and then gave me my discharge papers. That night, stomach pain. The next day, stomach pain, and my body felt super fidgety on the inside. The next day, back in the ER because my stomach pain was getting worse along with my tremors. Five days later, I’m still having tremors. My stomach is still hurting. Going off the side effect list, I’ve had quite a few of the reactions listed. This is definitely a no-go for me ever again!!!!! I went in the ER for one issue and came out with another."

For Pain "Just had Toradol injection for very painful wrist tendinitis. My belly is killing me. Can't tell if my wrist is better because all I can concentrate on is my tummy pain. I am not sure it isn't worse than my wrist pain is/was. Gosh, I hope this stops soon!"

For Pain "I was given a Toradol injection a few years ago for a bone spur. I had limped around for months in pain. By the time I left the doctor's office, the pain was almost gone. Since then, I have had no more pain from a bone spur. I went to the doctor this past Monday. I had been in pain all weekend. I was thinking of a UTI, but it was different than normal. The doctor said I had a bladder infection and a possible stone. Once again, I was given a Toradol injection, and once again, by the time I got home, the pain was gone. However, this time I have stomach pain that started the following day and still have it, along with indigestion. I do not remember this happening with the first injection years ago. Apart from the pain, it has been great. If ever offered it again, I will ask about the stomach pain."
