For Pain "I had gotten addicted to Lortab and asked my doctor to take me off it because I just hated not being in control of a medicine. I have fibromyalgia, so I needed something that would help. After different meds that did not work, he gave me a shot of Toradol. I was amazed when it took effect! For the first time in a long time, my whole body felt pain-free. You would think miracle medicine, right? Well, it was, however, the side effects of constipation and upset stomach, bloating, heartburn, and not urinating enough scared me (he also gave me the Toradol pills). I have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow, and I hate that I will have to be taken off this med. If you have great relief with no side effects, it is great!"

For Postoperative Pain "Post root canal. Taken orally, 10 mg tabs. Minor relief of pain, but severe stomach cramps. Stopped taking them and took Advil liquid gels / extra strength Tylenol combo, which proved way more effective. Took another Toradol a few days later with the same results: stomach cramps and minor pain relief."

For Pain "I damaged tendons between my elbow and forearm. I was given Toradol that did not help my pain, but caused me to have a stomach ache that I’m still up suffering with at 2:39 a.m. Toradol is a joke. I’ve been given ibuprofen, Tylenol, and steroids before the Toradol, which none of them helped. I’ve never been one to abuse opioids, and I don't like that anyone has to deal with that, but I need something that works."

For Pain "My doctor prescribed this medication after a very painful lower back sprain. At the recommended dosage, this medication did little or nothing for my pain. When I increased the dosage to cure the pain, this medication upset my stomach."

For Pain "I'm allergic to morphine, Demerol, and several other pain medications. I took Toradol for severe neck and shoulder pain. It worked. I had a little upset stomach but took an antacid, and it went away. It worked better for me, because of my being allergic to other pain medications. It also worked wonders after surgery. It should not be taken for more than 5 days, and use caution if you have kidney or liver disease. Use caution if you are using a blood thinner. It also did not make me drowsy, have a fast heart rate, or feel dizzy."

For Pain "Don't be afraid of this drug, it's AMAZING!! I frequently get violent migraines and prefer NON-opioid treatment since I usually drive myself to the urgent care or, in some cases, the ER and don't have help with transportation. I also noticed that I get rebound headaches from opioid-based pain meds, as with Toradol I do not experience that. Toradol has worked quite well intravenously as well as injected. When I visit the ER, they give a cocktail of Toradol/methadone/steroid. It's a great combo that covers pain, nausea, and inflammation. I personally have a weak/sensitive stomach and do not experience any upset stomach or nausea from it. (However, the methadone is given for nausea since I usually am dry heaving from the migraine pain)"

For Pain "Toradol is useless and causes the most severe constipation imaginable. I have had it by injection three different times for three different reasons, and it did not work for any of them. I will never agree to this medication again. My heart breaks for anyone given this as their only option for severe pain and post-op. Shame on doctors. I can’t think of anything this may help. Not even a splinter. It will, however, keep you busy for days trying to resolve the stomach issues you get as a bonus to your pain that wasn’t resolved."

For Pain "Best pain medication I have had. I have a very sensitive stomach, narcotics don't work. I understand that a side effect of this is an upset stomach, but it never gave me one. It only gives me relief when I really need it."

For Pain "I got a Toradol injection in my hip to help with migraine pain, and I felt so tired all day afterwards. My stomach hurts, and my entire lower back is tensed up and cramping from the injection. I was worried about this, but I saw others posting about it. My migraine is gone, but the side effects are uncomfortable. I could have dealt with the migraine pain instead of the side effects from the shot. I was too exhausted to function and get any work done all day."

For Postoperative Pain "I have a long history of narcotic drug dependency, mainly heroin use. I went into the ER with an insect bite that was infected because I had tried to drain it myself. Don't do that! I was given IV Toradol during my 5-day stay in the hospital. My second day there, I had to have surgery. Post-op, I took only Toradol, it did great for managing my pain. I chose not to go the narcotic route due to my drug abuse history. Had it not been for this medication, I could have very well been on the road to relapse following my surgery. I do have to mention that IV Toradol does wonders for me, but when I had a prescription for the pills, they gave me awful nightmares and upset stomach, along with some other unwanted side effects."
