Ketorolac for Pain "I got Toradol IV for pain due to kidney stones and infection. It didn't help the pain very much, and it burned. After they took the IV out, I sprayed blood all over the ER. I bled from the injection site for many hours. Never again."

Ketorolac for Pain "I suffer from refractory migraines. Sprix is faster to use than my intramuscular injections of Ketorolac. I have hemiplegic migraines, so if I miss my window, the injection becomes impossible. Unfortunately, Sprix doesn't work as well or as quickly as the IM Ketorolac. It's about 70% as effective, and it takes about 30 minutes to kick in and 45-60 for the full effect of Sprix to work, versus 10 minutes for IM Ketorolac to work and 30-40 minutes for the full effect of the injection. For that reason, I still use my IM Ketorolac more than Sprix, but I do admit Sprix has saved me plenty of times, so it is a good medication. When using it, it is important to look down, hold your breath, and spray it toward the outer, lower nostril. Then pinch - don't inhale. Breathe through your mouth and keep pinching your nose for a while. You won't get burning or any other issues."

Ketorolac for Pain "Sprix burns my nose horribly! Even if I don’t inhale it later after I sniff just a little, it burns every sinus cavity and makes my eyes water and burn. Then when I finally lay back down, it burns my throat for about 30 minutes. It feels like I’m shoving jalapeños up my nose and in my sinus cavities. As for the pain, it doesn’t help there either. Maybe this medicine is just not for me."

Ketorolac for Pain "I started using it for my sciatica pain, and it helps tremendously! If it’s burning your nose off, reread the directions and try again. I’m grateful to have it."

Ketorolac for Pain "When you use the nasal spray, you have to point the tip to the side of your nose, not up. Still burns for a few seconds, but really helped my pain. Reduced it by 50 percent."

For Pain "Wow, I have taken all kinds of pain relievers and take Oxycodone 4 times a day. Hurt my knee and heel by missing a step on my ladder, and my daily pain pills for fibromyalgia and chronic back pain don’t even touch my other pain. So, I went to my doctor, he sent me to be checked for a blood clot because of the swelling. They found no clot with ultrasound, went back the next day with severe pain in my knee and heel. He said, “Let’s try a Toradol injection 60 mg,” and yes, it hurt and burned like fire going in, but within less than 30 minutes, I could feel a difference, and for 2 hours, no pain. Couldn’t believe how I waited 4 weeks thinking it would stop hurting. I’m telling you I was experiencing some of the worst pain I’ve had in years and years thanks to my doctor and Toradol, I’m no longer in pain. 12 hours later, I went back to work without throbbing pain."
