Ivermectin topical for Rosacea "I have been using Soolantra a little over a week now. Within the first few days, it was really hard to tell if it was working or not, I had the feeling that my skin got slightly worse after 2 days. Now, after about 10 days of using this cream, I'm starting to notice a small difference. Not so many whiteheads, the old ones are healing. The redness is still there, but that is okay as I see the improvement, and probably, like with every treatment, it takes a bit of time. So far, so good!"

Ivermectin topical for Rosacea "Applied Soolantra cream samples to entire face and neck for 3 nights. Developed intense itching, redness, and multiple red bumps and pustules on my cheeks and neck after the 3rd dose. I went from mild redness with no bumps to broken out and itching like crazy. I sure hope this goes away soon! Waiting on a call back from my dermatologist to find out what to do."

Ivermectin topical for Rosacea "Have been using Soolantra for 2 weeks. After an initial breakout at day 2, things have rapidly improved. At 2 weeks, my skin is the best it has been for 5 years. I am not only spot-free but the inflammation and redness are showing significant improvement. Too early to tell if it will have any effect on flushing, but so far so good."

For Rosacea "I used to have clear skin till the age of 21. I used to get compliments from everyone. But then I have gone through an emotional phase, and that time my first symptoms were dryness over the skin, and then the redness with bad acne and disfiguring of the skin. I have seen the best dermatologists, but nothing is going right for me. I have changed my diet to a 'rosacea-friendly diet,' no makeup, and it's been almost 6 years that I am not going outside (only visits to the doctor). I have used ivermectin in 2017, but I think it has not given me good results, and now my doctor again started it 8 months back. I am confused whether it is going to be useful or work on my skin :-( I live in India and have never seen anyone with such severe rosacea in my town."

Ivermectin topical for Rosacea "Soolantra is great stuff for rosacea. I've been on and off Doxy for close to 10 years, with mixed results. I can honestly say that apart from the first week, where my skin absolutely bloomed with pustules, Soolantra has been amazing. I still get a few bumps occasionally, but more to do with succumbing to sugary foods. Cutting out alcohol is another must-do, and for $6 a tube, it's a bargain."

Ivermectin topical for Rosacea "Used essential oils (eucalyptus and peppermint) on my temples and forehead, and acne developed (never had it before), which got progressively worse with red pustules, etc. Dermatologist diagnosed type 2 rosacea and prescribed Soolantra. Pustules got progressively smaller after 1-2 weeks. However, small red marks, black and whiteheads appeared. Started using Plexion sulfacetamide cleanser, which dried up all pustules and got rid of blackheads and whiteheads. However, if I applied Soolantra in the evenings after cleansing with Plexion, I would wake with blackheads. So, after 5 weeks of using Soolantra, I am going to stop and just try the Plexion cleanser to see what happens. Will keep you posted."

Ivermectin topical for Rosacea "Ok, so I started on Soolantra back in December. I was on Rozex before, once daily, but it had stopped working and was giving my skin this horrible, waxy texture. I started using Soolantra by itself. The first month was awful. A lot of blackheads and small red bumps. I went to my dermo, and she told me to apply Soolantra OD at night and Rozex OD in the morning. My skin continued to be terrible for about 3 months. And then all of a sudden, it cleared up. I also have acne, so once in a while, I'll get some cysts, but nothing like before (I get these around the time I begin to menstruate). However, I also gave up drinking alcohol in January, and this perhaps also helped. Well, the combination of not drinking and using these creams twice a day has really worked very well. I still have redness, but nothing like before. And my skin feels so soft."

For Rosacea "It's been a full month since I've been on Rosiver (the Canadian version of Soolantra). The first two weeks I saw a good improvement. My skin became smoother, with fewer pimples and redness spots. In the third week, I started having more tiny pimples in places I've never had before. I just ended the fourth week, and nothing has changed. On the good side, Rosiver did not irritate my skin, is easy to use, and has no greasy feeling on my skin."

Ivermectin topical "I had a tiny patch of perioral dermatitis (PD) in November, which soon spread up my cheeks in January. I was given two different types of antibiotics and several antibiotic creams, Itraconazole, antifungals, and the list goes on. Long story short, I'm 5 months in with a new dermatologist who has diagnosed me with a sort of rosacea/perioral dermatitis/folliculitis, basically a sensitivity to yeast in the skin. I'm week 3 of Soolantra and Elidel (at night). Soolantra has given me the WORST skin I've ever had in my lifetime. I'm covered in bumps and whiteheads, and I look dreadful. I keep reading that it's meant to get better at some point, but I look so awful I can't bear to go to work and show my face. I read that people have these side effects on day 5 or so, but for me, it's started 10 days in, and wow, it's spread to places I didn't have any issue with originally. I'm definitely not going to be able to wait until week 7 for sure. It's very depressing, and it's made a terrible mess of my face."

Ivermectin topical for Rosacea "I've been using it now for 18 months. I started using Soolantra in the middle of a business trip. Not smart! Your face will break out worse for the first 14 days. I read that it is killing excess dust mites, so that is why your face reacts. I also read killing was sped up by strong acne wash. So, I would wash my face, wipe with Stridex wipe, put on my Soolantra, and go to bed. After a month, my face was better than ever, and I stopped the Stridex part. I now only have to use it about twice per month for maintenance. I am so thankful for this cream. Still on that same first tube 18 months later."

Ivermectin topical for Rosacea "I have tried basically everything for my acne and rosacea. I’ve been on this med for four weeks, and I have blackheads everywhere and three large cysts on my chin. I know you’re supposed to give it 8 weeks, but my skin has gotten so much worse in a short time. I think I’m going to discontinue."

For Rosacea "Since January 2021, I was diagnosed with rosacea (with acne). For the last 6 months, I have dealt with disgusting, debilitating flare-ups. My triggers seem to be anything I put on my face (Cetaphil, Dr. Bonner, Graydon face foam, J&J baby cream, etc.). Wed, June 9 - 3/10. Started use Thur, 10 - 3/10. Fri, 11 - 2/10. Sat, 12 - 1/0. My face was awful. Itchy, red, so many whiteheads (50+). I was very close to getting off of it. I was extremely sad and crying on this day. Wed, 17 - 5 or 6 / 10 ... My face is finally recognizable, and it's the best it's been in at least 2 months. I have very high hopes for more progress, and I'm finally able to show my face to strangers. I feel bad for those it didn't work for. I really hope you find something. If you haven't tried it, give it a chance, a week or 2. When it gets bad, remember it's a part of the progress. I was close to giving up and thankfully didn't."

For Rosacea "I have had rosacea since my early 20s and am now 68. It was never horrible but bad enough that I have treated it over the years with doxycycline, MetroGel, and azelaic acid. None of these made any significant difference. I woke one morning with the biggest blast of rosacea I had ever had, and it continued. So I went on ivermectin topical. It took about 6 weeks for me to see a difference, and I did go through significant flare-ups and the plethora of whiteheads that many have described. But, after about 8 weeks, my skin is completely clear, and it remains clear. I am a pharmacist and read a lot about the demodex being the culprit, and I am convinced it is. Ivermectin kills demodex. I realize it is expensive, but there are ways to get the cost down (ask your pharmacist) because if rosacea bothers you, it is worth every cent and more."

For Rosacea "Giving an update. I rated this cream a 7 back in May when I used it for about 6 weeks. After 8 weeks, my skin was completely clear. I suffered from moderate rosacea in redness and pimples, lots of pimples. Give 8 weeks for full results. Your skin is gonna get worse before it starts getting better. The first few weeks, your condition will worsen. Don't give up. And wash your sheets and pillowcases regularly!"

For Rosacea "I am going into my 4th week now and a little improvement overall, finally. I am hoping it continues to improve. The 4th day to the 14th day my face was the worst it has ever been, ever!! Breakouts everywhere, dry skin, and very itchy. Week 3 started to improve some. A little better than when I first started this med. I get rosacea more as breakouts on cheeks, above my mouth and under my chin. I will update again in 2 weeks."

For Rosacea "Well, I promised myself that if this thing works as miraculously as it did for some, I will post my review. I've been diagnosed with PP, and it's been 12 weeks of treatment with Ivermectin 1% (aka Soolantra). During treatment, I've had multiple breakout periods. I drew strength from others pushing me to hold on, so that it would subside. It did. But new areas of my face broke out. And then again. Sadly, these breakouts take a long while to heal. So, some 13 weeks into treatment, I can say that it helps, but I'm not clear, some areas of my face are clear and seem stable (God willing...), not getting new PP. I'm going to ask for a combined approach with antibiotics and give this treatment a few more weeks to make a difference."

For Rosacea "For a week now I have been using this brand morning and night, and I think it’s working? I woke up this am and saw 2 tiny pimples :( I will continue in hopes that there will be a little improvement! At 55, nothing worse than adult acne. Avoid the sun and alcohol I believe are my triggers, even with #100 sunscreen! Wish me luck :)"

For Rosacea "I have been using Rosiver (Soolantra) for about a month now. I’m not sure if I should stop. I keep getting flare-ups where I get bad acne and bumps plus redness. There are moments of my skin seeming to calm down, only to flare up again. I’m tempted to stop, but read that people have seen positive results after using for a while."
