For Endometriosis "Diagnosed with stage 5 endometriosis at 22. Was put on Synarel nasal spray after surgery in an attempt to reduce leftover bowel endometriosis. Switched to Zoladex after two months on Synarel as I was worried I wasn't taking it correctly. Loved being on Zoladex, despite the hot flushes, mood swings, bit of weight gain. I had no bleeding until the Mirena insertion around my 3rd injection. During the Mirena insertion, the gyno noted a vaginal nodule, meaning the Zoladex unfortunately did not work to reduce the bowel endometriosis."

For Endometriosis "Have had the 3rd Zoladex implant, and the side effects are ramping up. Was born with uterine didelphys, so had issues for years - heavy bleeding, pain, endometriosis, and horrific PMDD (like PMS but so much worse). Unsuccessful endometrial ablation, so started Zoladex to see how I cope with no hormones. Wow. Mental health greatly improved. Side effects only start after 5 weeks, and now they’re pretty intense - hot flashes, insomnia, weight gain, fatigue, vaginal dryness, and, grossly enough - leaking of urine! The last side effect has made me quite alarmed, but it can happen, my gynae says. Hopefully, have a hysterectomy soon where they’ll take the ovaries too. The benefits to my mental health far outweigh the annoyance of the side effects."

For Endometriosis "I have had Stage 4 Endometriosis for 20 years. In the past, I had Zoladex (no HRT), which stopped my periods and pain, but I went up 3 dress sizes in 6 months. It did seem to help for a while, but I ultimately ended up with more surgery (5 in total). Now, 12 years since my last op (and 2 miracle children later), my endometriosis has stuck my ovary to my urethra and bowel and is eating into my bowel wall. I have adenomyosis and a huge fibroid, etc., which all just adds up to debilitating periods, 3 transfusions, morphine patches, and an inability to work. I'm now back on Zoladex and due for my 3rd injection this week, but this time the experience is completely different! I ended up with severe joint pain (possibly also complicated by my Raynaud's), so I started HRT, and I now have bled all but 3/28 days with minor flooding (compared to normal), and I feel no difference in the size of my uterus. I don't think Zoladex is going to help me this time, could be this combo of fibroids and endometriosis, not sure."

For Endometriosis "I’m on my second month of Zoladex, due to my third injection shortly, and it’s been an absolute godsend so far. I’ve spent since the age of 12 with severely heavy, painful periods. Endometriosis has plagued my life, as has the effect the menstrual cycle had on my Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, making my hips subluxate and dislocate far more regularly during my period. The pain has been awful. Almost 3 months in and the relief while I wait for my hysterectomy is incredible. I’ve had some headaches and hot flashes, but honestly, I would rather deal with that than the blackouts I’ve had every month. I’m 40 now and couldn’t keep going with it."

For Prostate Cancer "No problems initially with Zoladex, but about a year later I noticed that my blood/sugar levels had risen significantly, so much so that I now have Type 2 diabetes. If you read the side effects of Zoladex (and there are many), you will note that “Zoladex can raise your blood/sugar levels.” So please have your HbA1c levels checked regularly."

For Endometriosis "Been on Zoladex for 6 months now. I am pain-free and feeling so glad and happy and feeling normal for some time and not having to be hospitalized. Hot flashes and weight gain have been my only side effects."

"Had 3 injections to reduce the size of the fibroid. The scan showed that it reduced the fibroid from 10 to 7 cm, but then following the operation, my surgeon said the fibroid was 10 cm. So I don't know if it reduced the fibroid by much. My only problem with this fibroid was that it was blocking my bladder and giving me urinary retention. This stopped as soon as I had my first injection. I was fine with the first 2 injections, but the third was not good. The hot flushes have been intense. It has now been almost 2 months since that 3rd injection, and the hot flushes are still very bad. All day and all night. Hot, cold, sweating. And the insomnia and mood swings. I wish I had not taken this medicine. I should have had the surgery from the outset and not taken the Zoladex."

"I've been using Zoladex 10.8 for the last 14 months. I am on the waiting list for a hysterectomy and BSO. Can I ask, while having the injection, has anyone experienced severe headaches and high blood pressure? I am struggling to control mine, and I can't have my surgery until it's under control."

For Endometriosis "At first, reading all of the scary reviews and side effects, I was so scared to try Zoladex for my endometriosis symptoms. I was truly desperate, miserable, and out of options at the time. Zoladex saved me (temporarily, until I could get my excision surgery)! To start, I had terrible cramping and bleeding. After the first two injections (monthly injections), I was almost symptoms free from my large cysts and endo pain. It's not right for everyone, but it can work for some! Hot flashes and mood swings aside, I'll take that over the pain I was in daily."

For Endometriosis "I was diagnosed with adenomyosis. My period pain was so bad. My doctor suggested Zoladex. I am approaching my 4th injection of 6. I am currently experiencing mood swings, nausea, and I am depressed. I lost weight as well. I am trying to eat better. I don't have much of a sex drive either. I honestly just want to get to the end and hopefully that all I have been through was worth it. I pray I never have to go through this again. Currently, Gravol is my friend."

For Endometriosis "I was on Zoladex for about 6 months in the hope it would help my endo. Although it didn't, because it turned out it was endo level 5 and everything was stuck to everything else, so I had a hysterectomy (15 min) and nearly 6 hours of endo removal in February 2022. I asked my surgeon if I could go back on Zoladex, but I was only allowed for 6 months, which was great because they left my ovaries in. I'm now on Slinda, it is awful. Pain has increased again, and my mood is like PMS on steroids. I'd like to know if there's a similar medication to Zoladex that I can have for more than 6 months at a time. I'm not at menopause age yet, but far out. They should have taken my ovaries out. The pill nor Mirena or any of those have ever worked for me. Always made the pain worse since I was 15. I've been lucky enough to have one baby, and I'm so grateful. I just don't want to be like King Kong all the time. Thanks, any suggestions are welcome."

For Bleeding Disorder "I have had abnormal bleeding for about 4 weeks now. This is probably triggered by the chemo drug Taxotere. I received the shot about 10 days ago, but the bleeding hasn't stopped yet. Will it ever? When?"

For Endometriosis "Diagnosed at 29, Zoladex for 6 months. Endo pain only subsided since you do not get periods while taking this drug. However, I experienced terrible inflammation and water weight gain, my clothes stopped fitting after the second injection. I work out and eat healthy, mind you. I am constantly fatigued and lack motivation. Brain fog is real on this drug. The hot flashes are so miserable, couple it with the insomnia and it has been a miserable 5 months. The cellulite and weight gain have been the hardest for me since I am into fitness. I feel like I’m in someone else’s body. I get headaches daily and usually suffer a migraine within 24 hours of a dosed injection. I’m on my last dose and I’m hoping after I can get back to my normal self. I dealt with sciatic pain with the endo, it’s not as bad but still around. I’m still trying to figure out if this treatment has been worth it. We shall see by April."

For Endometriosis "This is my second month for this injection, the first month was so bad. I had too many side effects. The night after my injection, I had hot flashes and painful bones, especially on my ankles. Day after day, it gets worse, I had dizziness every day, constant tiredness without reason, and super fatigue, muscle pain, super vaginal dryness, and couldn’t walk longer because my feet and legs hurt so bad. But there are also good side effects, like I’m totally no more bleeding/period or even spotting, so it means no pain."

For Endometriosis "So I have been struggling with endometriosis since I was 16 years of age and have had the “invisible” disease that was left undiagnosed with endometriosis. I have been suffering for years and have really been on so many trials, Zoladex was my last resort. I have only been on it once and there is still severe clotting, heavy bleeding, painful cramps that never go away, and it’s constantly me crying in a ball. If anything, I’m not going back on this again, I know I’ve only had it once, but it’s not helping me at all. I’ve had no morphine to help, no laparoscopy that would help. I have been trembling and crying since last week, been feeling nauseous, angered, tearful, depressed, change of appetite, and as someone who has such a short temper, it makes my temper worse."

For Endometriosis "I've just had my surgery for endometriosis and am on treatment for 6 months. Hope all goes well with the Zoladex injection. Just got muscle pain, dizziness, and headache all of a sudden, but it's normal, as my gynecologist already told me in advance it's side effects."
