For Neuropathic Pain "RX calls for me to take 600 mg twice a day. This dosage makes me drowsy, and I feel like a zombie after taking it. I have cut down to 1/2 tab (300 mg) in the AM and 600 mg at bedtime. I can't really tell that this med makes much difference with my nerve pain..."

For Neuropathic Pain "I have had neuropathy, which started as tingling and numbness in my toes and progressed gradually for over 20 years. Now the pain is unbearable most of the time, and while it sounds crazy to say, I hurt constantly, but my feet, legs, hands, and arms have lost almost all feeling and sensations to touch. I have been to doctors, neurologists, and pain management for years and have been prescribed gabapentin many different times at different dosages, and at first (early on in my neuropathy), it seemed to work. But after a while, I started having a lot of memory issues, brain fog, and even a lack of balance and motor functions. After quitting the gabapentin therapy, my head started to clear up, and I was able to regain some motor functions. I have now been on opioids for pain so long that I have to take too many to function. I am now on a mission to find some other kind of relief! If anyone has tried something natural that works, I would love to hear what it is!"

For Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome "Has been very helpful. However, I have experienced some side effects. I have had some problems with chest pain. After a heart cath, which was normal, I was started on metoprolol. No further cp. Also have problems with memory loss and an inability to focus, however, I was on Lyrica for a while, and this was much worse then. Does eliminate all my pain, but overall, this is the only medication that has helped with the RSD at all."

For Erythromelalgia "It was useless, so I was given more and more and more of it until I felt like a zombie. The idea it does anything for the pain caused by EM is a delusional mistake."

For Migraine "I'm taking gabapentin for migraine/TAC headache 3 months ago. I started at 500 mg & now take it 3 times a day. I didn't experience any common side effects. However, if I take 2, I can't drive because I kind of feel spaced out & forgetful. It's helping my left eye pain that's been severe on and off every day for a year. I have carpal tunnel, but it doesn't seem to help with that, but I've also been hauling tree limbs to the curb, so that definitely aggravates it. As for weight gain, usually it's emotional eating, but with gabapentin and Seroquel, it could be one or all three. It's really benefiting me as Lyrica didn't work at all."
