Frovatriptan for Migraine "I have tried numerous migraine medications, and Frova is the clear winner for me. It worked quickly, didn't cause dizziness, and there was no rebound the next day. If they could just decrease the cost of these medicines, it would be perfect."

For Migraine "I have had chronic migraines for about 17 years now and normally take Amerge, which works wonders for me. Unfortunately, it has been discontinued, so I thought I would try Frovatriptan since I read it's supposed to be similar. I took one (2.5 mg) tablet at 10:30 am, and within 15 minutes, my stomach started rumbling like something you've never heard. Within two hours, I was dizzy, shaking, vomiting, and had diarrhea. My vision was also messed up. I could barely even message my boss online to tell him that I had to log off for the day. I'm assuming I am very allergic to this drug, but please be careful because despite its tiny little size, it can be extremely toxic. I do have to say, I've tried numerous migraine medications before and have not ever reacted like this. Please be careful if you give the drug a try. I guess my search will continue for something else."

Frovatriptan for Migraine "I have had chronic migraines since I was about 4 years old and have taken Zomig, Imitrex, Maxalt in the way of triptans and also been on beta-blockers, antidepressants, Tylenol #3 and #4, Midrin, Vicodin, etc. in the past for them. Zomig gave horrible side effects for a while, Maxalt was not recommended with Effexor XR, although that was unknown at the time of prescription. Imitrex gives me high blood pressure (which I have chronic low blood pressure), as well as shakes, fatigue, achiness all over, etc., and Tylenol #3's and #4's make me nauseous and dizzy. Although nothing lasts for longer than a few hours for me and everything seems to cause rebound migraines, Frova does the best at taking the pain away with lower side effects."
