"My doctor put me on diltiazem and warfarin three years ago for AFib. This past summer, the AFib got worse, and they put me in a thirty-day event monitor. Followed by a stress test, the event monitor showed many episodes with a heart rate of 150 plus and irregular. I've been on 100 mg flecainide twice a day, along with the diltiazem, for two months, and not one AFib episode and hardly even a skipped beat. I feel great!"

"I'm a male, 72, who works out with weights 2 times/wk and walks golf courses 2-3 times/wk, as well as hits range balls and practices. My resting HR is normally 50. I had my first afib for 8 hours on Valentine's Day 2021 before ER was able to fix the heart with Diltiazem and saline IV. Then I had a second episode 8 months later after hitting 2 buckets of balls in high heat and humidity. 100 mg of Flecainide at ER worked 1 hour after administration. Now I take 100 mg 2/day to keep me out of AFIB. I have taken it for 3 weeks with no side effects yet."

"I have paroxysmal AFIB, which showed up several times a week for a few minutes to several hours in duration. My cardiologist put me on 50 mgs flecainide twice a day last November (2021). It has been a wonderful relief. Except for a few PACs every now and again, I have been free of AFIB since November. I haven't experienced any side effects that I am aware of."

"I was started on Flecainide for multiple episodes of A-fib on my Holter monitor 7-day test. Within 24 hours of starting Flecainide, I started feeling terrible. I was having a rapid heart rate (feeling) more frequently, flutter sensations, general weakness, and just feeling unwell. I didn't feel it was safe for me to drive because I was feeling so poorly and weak. After 48 hours, I went into the cardiologist's office for a previously scheduled EKG. They took me off Flecainide because of my side effects, and after a 'wash-out' period, I start another drug."

"I found flecainide increased my A.F. episodes. I had 12 episodes in 10 months, then put on flecainide. I then had 32 episodes in a month. It felt awful. Certainly not for me."

"After years of Sotalol and many AF attacks, flecainide has been a wonder drug for me. I get tired, but don't blame flecainide, that's too easy. Many things cause tiredness!"

"I forgot what a regular heartbeat felt like. Had cardio conversion (don't want to do that again) for atrial fibrillation. Just started taking flecainide after a week, so far, so good."

"I didn’t think I needed another medication for my A-fib, but my doctor prescribed flecainide in addition to metoprolol. My biggest complaint with the flecainide is the taste. It is disgusting!!"

"I have been taking flecainide for 23 days. I have feelings in my middle chest and a feeling of fluttering sometimes and a thumping middle chest, foggy head. For 18 days, I have felt awful, dizzy, sick, chest aching, just awful. At 18 days, I began to feel better with on/off dizziness and sickness, these have been decreasing over the past 5 days and today so far nothing, I feel alert, bright, and wonderful. I was about to give up, I spoke to a doctor, a cardiac nurse, and they both said hang on for a while. Now I feel great, hope it works and keeps the atrial fibrillation (AF) away for good. I am so glad I waited, fingers crossed this is it now, feeling good."
