Ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "The first pack I had no issues. It was almost like I was taking nothing. Second pack, I began to have painful cystic acne pop up on my cheeks and lower jawline. I was almost finished with the pack, and due to my work schedule, took them off schedule (minutes to a few hours) for I think 3-4 days straight. Hell promptly began. I started bleeding lightly during the day and heavily during the night. At about 6 pm every day, painful cramps would begin to set in, back pain would intensify, breasts were swollen and tender, and flow increased during the night. I was getting up 2-3 times to empty my diva cup. I skipped 3 days of pills desperate for relief, and it worsened. It got to the point I was emptying my cup every hour/1.5 hours, and was leaking. Instructed to finish the third pack, and we’d reevaluate. Finished it. Still bleeding. Instructed to take 2 pills for 3 days, and if the bleeding didn’t stop we’d have to find a different option. So far, the extra pill has made the bleeding worse."

Ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel "I have been on many different birth control pills (Microgestin, Necon, and Nortrel). I take the birth control continuously without the placebos, so I won't have a cycle. I had breakthrough bleeding and really bad side effects with all the aforementioned pills. A friend of mine was taking Lo-Ogestrel, and she highly recommended trying it. I finally convinced my doctor to prescribe me Lo-Ogestrel. Since taking these pills, they are doing what they're supposed to do. I have no side effects whatsoever and no bleeding. I am very happy with these pills compared to what I was on. Everyone's body is different, so it will take a few pills to find what works for you."

Ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I used to take Cryselle and loved it. Always knew when my period was coming, super light periods for 4 days. I was without insurance for a while, so had to stop. Now I’m back on it but the generic brand. OMG, horrible!!!! My first period was so heavy that I had to use super tampons every 2 hours. Since then (2 months now), I have had breakthrough bleeding every single day. Sometimes it’s more heavy bleeding, but it’s usually just when I wipe. I also pass small clots and bloody tissue. It’s been absolutely horrible. I’m going to have to find a pharmacy that carries actual Cryselle."

Ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel for Birth Control "I switched to this because it is the highest dosage after experiencing breakthrough bleeding on my last pill, which I was also on for two years. All breakthrough bleeding has stopped, and my period has even shortened from 7 days on my old pill to 5 days on this one. I experienced some nausea in the mornings the first day or two of each new pill pack the first couple of months, but this only lasted maybe 3-4 months, and I have experienced this symptom every time I try a new birth control, so I do not know if it is specific to this pill. I also gained about 10 lbs the first couple of months that shed a few months later, but this is also a typical symptom I have experienced on every pill I have tried. Overall, this pill works and has no serious symptoms."

Ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel for Birth Control "I started this birth control completely fine the first week. After the first week, I started bleeding badly and continued to take the pill. I had been bleeding for 3 months straight while on Cryselle."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Migraine ratio increased. Bleeding stopped and started, no rhythm to it at all. Not overly effective in this particular case."

Ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "When I first started taking it, I had no problems. After a break, I started taking it again, and I’ve started bleeding for a very long time - 11 days. My cycle is usually 5 days."

Ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel for Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for nearly 6 months. In the beginning, I got that it wasn't awful, I did experience mood swings at first and breakthrough bleeding. The longer I have been on it, the more consistent it's almost as if I have my period 3 weeks on and one week off. It has made me severely irritable, to put it nicely, and because I have been bleeding so much, my sex drive has also suffered. I would not recommend this birth control to anybody. In my opinion, it's awful."
