For Birth Control "I have tried different birth control pills, and this is my favorite so far. It regulated my period from everyday bleeding to a normal 3-4 days per month. I used to get really bad cramps to the point that I could not walk. I had to stay in bed for the first 2 days of my period, and this pill made them less painful. I have always dealt with anxiety, so nothing changed about it. Never gained weight, and it also took away my everyday headaches. Recently, my doctor decided to change them for Cryselle, which is giving me horrible cramps, nausea, and headaches with only 2 days of using it. I'm definitely going back to Tri-Lo-Sprintec."

For Birth Control "This pill was the worst decision of my life. I started off using Mononessa as birth control and to regulate my period around 4 years ago and stayed on the pill until now. A month ago, I switched to Tri-Lo-Sprintec to help some weird acne I was getting constantly on the Mononessa, but the Tri-Lo-Sprintec was just horrible. All the side effects hit me hard: the migraines, anxiety, depression. I had around 3 panic attacks that lasted hours every week, so I decided to ditch the pill, and now I’m letting my body just clean itself out."

For Birth Control "I switched from Orthotricyclen Lo because my insurance started charging me almost $300 for 3 months. I didn't want to pay this, so I was put on Tri-Lo-Sprintec since it was covered. I started getting the worst anxiety I have ever had at the end of the first week. I am on my second pack and it hasn't gotten better. I am finishing out this pack and switching. This has been by far the worst birth control for me."

For Birth Control "I had to switch from Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo to Tri-Lo-Sprintec due to my original being discontinued. The first 2 out of 4 weeks of each birth control pack is just fine. I didn't mind the weight gain, and my mood swings were similar to my other birth control. HOWEVER, this birth control will seriously mess up your health. I've been having constant migraines, and at one point thought I was having a heart attack. I talked to my doctor about my symptoms, and she agreed that it was best to get off this birth control. It gave me panic attack-like symptoms and is not worth preventing pregnancy. My period comes 3 days late anyway, so I spend those days panicking if I'm pregnant. Do yourself a favor and invest in something else."

For Birth Control "I have been on this for going on my second month because my pharmacy has been out of my usual brand (Tri Cyclen Lo) for the past 2 months, and I’ve noticed my face has broken out really bad, like not normal, and I’ve had really bad mood swings. My first period on this pill was barely anything, and it was 2 days early, and not normal! I would not suggest this pill at all!"

For Birth Control "While this birth control isn’t the absolute greatest, it’s not the absolute worst either. I started this pill about a month ago after my pharmacy switched me from Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (which I had been taking for 8 years and loved) because of an apparent recall. At first, I was very hesitant about taking a new pill because I was so used to my usual brand. However, I am sexually active and did not want to get pregnant. I just finished my first pack and overall, my breasts have been tender, I’ve been a bit nauseated, a few headaches more than usual; and my blood pressure is up and down. My period, however, is normal, and it didn’t start earlier than the usual start date. I plan to begin taking my second pack and allowing my body to adjust to this pill! I don’t absolutely love it, but I don’t absolutely hate it either."

For Birth Control "This generic brand is nothing like the brand name. Something is definitely different. I spot regularly during the 2nd week of pills every single month. I think you need to pull it off the market. I will be discontinuing my use."

For Ovarian Cysts "I was prescribed this birth control in February because I was diagnosed with PCOS. My periods were very irregular, and I could skip anywhere from 2 to 9 months without a period. I’m on my fourth month of this, and it has been great. My period consistently comes on the 3rd day of the placebo pills. My periods also used to be extremely heavy, painful, and long. My periods are now light, around 5 days, and I haven’t had a single cramp! I haven’t had any side effects, I have found that this has extremely elevated my mood. The PCOS caused a significant low in hormones, so I often fell into depressive lows and other symptoms. This has helped me tremendously. Every medication works differently for everyone, so I would not let the negative reviews stop you from possibly finding the best for you."

For Birth Control "I couldn't help but write a review on this medication. STAY CLEAR OF IT if you are struggling with acne. I used birth control for pregnancy prevention and control of acne. I started this medication, and my skin was the worst it has ever been in my life. I gave it 5 months, and I have cystic acne on my chin that is still clearing up. I will never use this pill again and would not recommend it."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this pill for almost a year, and it’s been good. I don’t think my mood has changed a lot. I also haven’t gained weight or gotten acne! I was really worried about those two. The only problem is that I’m having two-week-long periods, and that’s been going on for about 5 months, and I don’t know if that’s normal. Has anyone else experienced this? Before the pill, I took the Depo shot and had irregular bleeding too."

For Birth Control "My pharmacy switched me without informing me from Trinessa to Tri-Lo-Sprintec. At first, I was very skeptical, and my mother warned me against taking it, but I have never had any bad experiences with other birth controls before, so I figured this would be the same. Immediately, I began to notice a change in my appetite as I would eat more than ever before, resulting in weight gain. I also had almost no sex drive or desire to do anything with my boyfriend. I felt like I could not be myself as hard as I tried. Once my boyfriend approached me about how I had not been myself whatsoever, I knew I had to stop taking it. It was upsetting because despite all these side effects, it is the first birth control that has ever cleared up my acne, which I have struggled with for years."

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking this pill for two months. I got on this BC pill to regulate my cycles. I was having two cycles every month, so my doctor figured it would regulate them. And all this pill has seemed to do is make them 10 times worse. I have THE ABSOLUTE WORST DEADLY CRAMPS!!!!! Not literally deadly, but just imagine the cramps. Sometimes I’m at work, and I just have to sit down because it hurts so bad. One time I fell to my knees, it hurt so badly. Not to mention I still have 2 cycles every month. Nothing has changed with regulating the cycle! I always had anxiety, but it’s way worse now. My sex drive has gone out the window, literally!! I have no desire to have sex. And I get THE WORST headaches. And I hardly ever have an appetite. My experience was the worst, but I would never tell anyone not to try it. Because everyone’s body is different, and it may work for you, so good luck!!!"

For Birth Control "I have only been on this birth control for about 2 months. I used to take birth control a year ago but stopped and then started again. So far, I have not seen any huge problems. Ladies, even though sometimes a birth control doesn’t work for someone else, it doesn’t mean it won’t work for you! I think the most noticeable change was I had a little bit more acne within the first month. My first period I had with it I think was a little lighter than usual, but not by much. I tend to have heavy periods, so hopefully my periods become lighter. I have pretty bad anxiety, but honestly nothing has changed since being on the pill, still the same, not better, not worse. Which is fine with me. I had noticed in my lower region I did gain some stretch marks, and when I did backtracking, I realized they did start to appear when I started the birth control. I started this pill because my boyfriend and I started having sex. So far, not pregnant. It has only been a month though. (Knock on wood)."

For Birth Control "This birth control worked well for me with minimal side effects. It did not give me acne, and my periods were short and light with minimal cramping. No hair loss, loss of sex drive, or nausea. My only symptoms were constant bloating, weight gain (15 lbs in 7 months), and a constant insatiable appetite. I can say that it helped stabilize my mood, I experienced no major mood swings or outbursts. My insurance recently switched me to Tri-Lo-Marzia, and while I’m enjoying this pill (weight loss, less of an appetite, no bloating), it is causing some major mood changes. I know there is a pill out there for me, but I don’t think either of these are it. If your pharmacy tells you these medications are the same, don’t listen."

For Birth Control "Had Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo for many years. Pharmacy switched to this generic prescription. Horrible spotting between periods, acne, bloating, hives, and missed period. Called doctor to switch back to my normal pill, Ortho."

For Birth Control "Trying this birth control has forever changed my life. Each person is different and may experience different things, however, unfortunately, I experienced the worst: extreme hair loss. I have now been diagnosed with alopecia because nobody wants to own that this was the cause. Do your research before getting on this, unfortunately, I failed to do so. I trusted my OBGYN, and it's now put me in a very emotional and low place. I do not wish this upon anybody else."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have been using Tri-Lo for about a week now. It has not helped my constant bleeding, it is only making it worse (from somewhat light to super heavy), and I have not broken out in a rash. I thought it was eczema at first, but I don't get outbreaks in the winter. Tomorrow, I am calling my GYN to switch to something else."

For Birth Control "As far as effectiveness, I did not get pregnant while taking this medication. However, I experienced so many side effects I eventually stopped taking it and switched back to Ortho-Tri-Lo. I experienced problems with mood swings, irritability, anxiety (racing heart and anxious feelings for no reason), depression, cramps, spotting, headaches, decreased sex drive, weight gain, breast/nipple tenderness, and vaginal irritation. All of these are side effects I had never experienced with Ortho, so I switched back and have little to no side effects. It definitely was not worth the money saved because it made me feel like a crazy person, and I really did not have control over my emotions. I would experience all extremes, especially anger and crying."

For Birth Control "I started on the pill when I was around 20 years old. I was taking Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo and never had an issue. A year or two later, I switched to Tri-Lo-Sprintec, I believe because my insurance only covered generic at that point (I just now discovered that Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo was discontinued.) I was taking this for about 3 years and didn’t notice any big changes or side effects. My ‘periods’ were regular, and I still had cramps, but nothing out of the ordinary. Last year at 26, I stopped taking the pill and went off birth control altogether. Here we are a year later, and I decided to get back on the pill. I started on Sunday, and the next day, I felt nauseous. I took it again that morning, not thinking anything of it. My symptoms progressively got worse throughout the day. I’ve been sick with nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, chest pain, stomach cramps, and headaches for at least four days now. The only thing I’ve been doing differently is taking this pill. I’m never touching BC again."

For Birth Control "Don't worry, ladies. I'm one of the apparent few who don't have a bad experience! I feel fine, no acne, no weight gain, no nausea. So if you're thinking about it, just give it a try, it works differently for everyone!"

"I quit taking this Tri-Lo-Sprintec pill after 3 days! Caused me to get back/chest acne, and it’s so painful. I have been breaking out badly on my chin, and it’s not worth taking it. I will be finding a natural solution to my problem (irregular periods). Please listen to the reviews! I wish I did!"

For Birth Control "The first two months, Tri-Lo-Sprintec worked fine, month three, my period started at the beginning of week 2 for some reason and lasted most of the way through week 4. Month four, my period started at the beginning of week 3 (a week early), which I guess is an improvement from last month... very frustrating to have multi-week periods! I thought I wouldn't have to deal with irregular bleeding since the first two months were perfect, but it can still happen, and mine has been quite excessive. I'm going to stop taking it at the end of this pack and switch to another method if needed. I've also experienced more nausea on my periods than I did before birth control."

For Birth Control "I was on other birth controls several years ago, but I stopped taking it when I had weight gain and more acne. I asked my doctor for one that could help with acne, and he prescribed Tri-Lo-Sprintec. I have been on it for around a year and I love it! It cleared up my skin and I rarely get any acne, and it decreases my appetite. I never had any major changes in period lengths or heaviness, if anything, it made me have more stomach cramps. Everyone finds their perfect birth control, and this one was mine! I suggest you try it if you’re on the fence!"

For Birth Control "Ok, Tri-Lo-Sprintec works for preventing pregnancy, but honestly, I don't know anymore if it's worth it. I have been on it for 4 months now, and recently I find myself crying, without appetite, sad. I feel so hopeless right now! Not even my little baby cheers me up, and this is not me. My assumption is that this pill is messing up my mind. I should stop it and try to be my happy self again, though I don't know what pill to try now, all of them have the same type of feedback. I'm afraid to try another one that might be even worse. I just want to feel happy to be alive again. Secondly, I've been having pain in my breasts, and they feel heavy and swollen, like when you breastfeed, but I'm not breastfeeding since months ago! Anyone else felt breast pain on this pill? Oh! Third, but not last, my libido has decreased a little bit significantly, but I have noticed it's not the same as before either. So yep, I'm thinking to give up on this!"

For Ovarian Cysts "I have been taking Tri-Lo-Sprintec for over 7 months. The reason I have kept taking it was because my last birth control pills gave me awful mood swings, depression, and zero libido. I was crying almost every day for no reason, snapping at my husband. This one is better, but only just. After trying it out for these past months, I am talking to my doctor about stopping. I’m done settling. He says I need the pills to protect my ovary since I had one removed and I have no children yet. I’m also in my mid-20s. With Tri-Lo-Sprintec, my libido has gone up from zero to two, but it is still affecting my marriage life. We’re frustrated and unhappy as I don’t feel like my normal self at all, even if there is slight improvement from the other pill I took before. I also have severe sinus congestion that I didn’t previously have, and I am tired of it all."
