For Birth Control "First off, everyone's body is different and there's no way to know what yours is going to do. That being said, I was put on this birth control after having severe anxiety and depression (which I had never experienced before) on a previous birth control. I have had absolutely zero side effects with this one. Plus, my boobs got a size bigger, which is a plus."

For Birth Control "I really didn't like this Estarylla birth control. I was initially on Femynor (LOVE), but one day I picked up my prescription and I was given Estarylla. I called my gynecologist, and the nurse said it was a generic brand and shouldn’t affect me much, but it was AWFUL. I was on it for two months. I probably didn’t give it time to settle in, but Femynor never gave me this many issues so early on. I was very depressed, unmotivated, broke out, tired, experienced a lot of anxiety attacks, and super nauseated. I know everyone is different, but for me, it was the worst. My period went rather smoothly, I will say, but other than that, AWFUL! I recommend Femynor 10/10."

For Birth Control "I had been taking Sprintec for two years, mostly to clear acne and shorten my periods, and I never had any issues with it. I really liked it. I’ve taken one month of Mili and just started my second pack today, and my mood was all over the place. I can’t stop crying, and it makes me nauseous in the mornings because I take it at 10 pm before bed, and my anxiety has increased dramatically. I'm so confused because I was told it’s the same ingredients, but I do feel a difference with this one than before. I’m probably going to try and stick it through the rest of this pack, and hopefully, my body gets used to it. It could be possible that this is not the medication causing it, but it’s the only real change I have made. Definitely, make sure to not take on an empty stomach."

For Acne "When I first started taking Tri-Sprintec, it definitely was a struggle. I had some anxiety and depressive thoughts, and my acne only got worse. My gyno told me to wait longer than 3 months, and if I still felt crappy, to go back to her. After about the 4th month, things definitely started getting better. My acne began to clear up, my mental health went back to normal, and my periods got lighter, and my cramps were almost non-existent. My doctor told me Tri-Sprintec does have negative side effects in the beginning and does take a little longer for your body to get used to it. Overall, after the first few months, I am now very happy with this pill. I would recommend giving it a try and just to be patient with it. I know everyone is different, but it really works well after you give it time."

For Birth Control "60 days of awfulness. I was on Orth Tri-Cyclen Lo for 14 years before switching to Tri-Lo Sprintec. I don't believe it was an equivalent generic. I’m a strong, independent, hard-working, successful, and happy woman who is very driven — motivation was the first to go. I gained 12 lbs in 1 week. I was irritable, emotional, anxious about everything. I was depressed and had dark thoughts (which I knew was crazy) but couldn’t think straight enough to know I needed help. I had zero sex drive, felt bloated and horrible. Nothing mattered (relationship, career). I realized I wasn’t alone. After stopping Tri-Lo Sprintec, I started thinking clearly, the hazy brain fog was gone. I switched to Aviane - I'm 3 weeks in with zero side effects. I’m feeling myself again. Not everyone has extreme reactions to Tri-Lo Sprintec, but if you’re on here looking for answers - talk to your doctor. I have submitted this to the FDA and Teva as a formal complaint."

For Birth Control "After reading all of these negative reviews, I am shocked! I have been on 3 different birth control pills and have stuck with Estarylla. I am on it for acne purposes, and it really has cleared up my skin and kept it that way for about a year now. Before taking this pill, I was always irritable, moody, and depressed. I have felt very happy ever since taking it, and my periods are never irregular and very light! I have gained a bit of anxiety from it, though. Overall, I think it is great, especially for acne."

For Birth Control "Before Mili, I was on Sprintec for three years and had absolutely no problems. My pharmacy gave me Mili because they were out of Sprintec and assured me it was exactly the same. Well, I have come to find out it's not. I've been on it for almost three months now and I am still having terrible side effects. My breasts have gone up a whole cup size, and I have a lack of motivation. I'm normally a pretty happy person, but since taking this, my anxiety is through the roof. Also, I have had a lot of gastrointestinal issues. Not only am I constantly bloated, someone who normally goes every day, I am sometimes backed up for 5 days. I have also been spotting between periods, and just recently my stomach has been in a lot of pain. Don't take this if you are already on a different birth control, it will mess you up."

For Birth Control "I've been on Tri-Previfem for 3 months now, and it's been quite the whirlwind. Firstly, my periods are so much better, my cramps are non-existent, and my menstrual cycle is punctual. Additionally, my insurance covers all of it, so it's absolutely free. Although this may sound like a miracle period medicine, it certainly has its cons (for me). I've become extremely sensitive and needy. As a nursing student, life is stressful and lonely enough to deal with, this medicine has amplified my stress, anxiety, and depression. I never thought I would be one of the unfortunate ones to experience the ugly side effects of a medication. This may be fitting for others, but certainly not for me, I need my sanity back."

For Birth Control "This birth control is horrible. My last birth control was discontinued, so they switched me to this. I got pregnant on this medication, and when I had continued using it after pregnancy, I had the worst depression and anxiety of my life and legit thought I was bipolar. I know everyone is different, but I do not recommend this medication."

For Birth Control "I made an account just to comment on how incredibly bad this birth control is. I was on Estarylla for a while, but then switched to Mili. Ever since taking it, I have had the absolute WORST depressive and anxiety attacks to the point where I think I’m going insane. It was never like this taking Estarylla, but my experience with that other brand was bad too. My periods have gotten heavier and more painful since taking this brand. My acne was cleared with Estarylla, but Mili has given me more acne. This birth control has pretty much made me miserable."

For Birth Control "I was first put on Tri-Sprintec, which worked wonderfully for me, but my pharmacy switched me to Tri-Previfem. I've good news and bad news about this pill. The good news: I've not gotten pregnant. The bad news: after being switched over, I've realized a shocking change in my mood. I'm much more depressed, and I have developed a case of anxiety. I have experienced several anxiety attacks after being switched to this pill. I'm contemplating asking my doctor to change my prescription. If you wish to not get pregnant, then take this pill, but you may undergo dramatic changes in your mood."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "This has been the worst experience! I am 39 and just got put on birth control for the first time due to PCOS. I took Junel for 3 months with no major side effects other than almost constant bleeding, so I was switched to this to control the bleeding. I’ve taken this for one week and can’t get out of bed. I’m getting hot flashes/chills and very nauseous. I have no appetite, and thinking about food makes me gag. I’ve alternated between constipation and diarrhea. My anxiety is through the roof, and it takes effort to leave my house. I get dizzy/shaky and feel faint every day, and my heart is racing. I am going to stop taking this and hope I can get back to normal."

"I personally would not recommend this birth control pill to any woman. It completely changed my personality while I was on it, and I was depressed and constantly anxious. I was so dramatic about every little thing and cried all the time, I felt like a crazy person, and I honestly probably appeared that way too. I had 0 sex drive and was always dry, which was very uncomfortable. Perhaps the most concerning of them all was that it messed with my ability to retain memories and recall events that occurred when I was on it. The majority of these months are now somewhat of a blur to me. When I finally quit taking it, it was like a cloud had been lifted and my quality of life was back completely. I will soon be switching to an IUD, which I hear is a much less systemic option, and I recommend this to other women too."

For Birth Control "I got on Femynor about 11 months ago, and it works as any good birth control for me. Unlike other women, I don’t have headaches or anxiety or dizziness. Prior to getting on birth control, my hormones were kinda off, and I had irregular periods. Now they are predictable and come on the same day for every cycle. I haven’t gained any weight either. I also haven’t gotten pregnant yet, so that’s a plus, lol."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control, Tri-Lo-Mili, for a little over two months, and I have noticed decreased motivation, just been lazy, sleeping too much. I have been sad and a huge amount of anxiety. I really hate taking birth control pills, and this one isn't terrible, but it still sucks."

For Birth Control "First, I would like to say I took this birth control for 5 months. 5!! I was really trying to keep going. But I just stopped 3 days ago. (Now I’m bleeding, but I guess that is expected.) Anyhow, the headaches turned into migraines, I have NO sex drive, with a side of vaginal dryness! My anxiety is WILD. I have no control over my emotions. I’m irritable, having depressive episodes. I get rashes in weird places. My stomach always hurts. I even have back and neck pain? Idk what has been going on. The ONLY good thing is I haven’t gotten pregnant. But at this point, I’d much rather have a baby than deal with these pills."

For Birth Control "Overall, I’m happy with this Mili birth control pill. I switched from Junel Fe after seeing my doctor for pelvic pain. My doctor put me on Mili continuously due to a suspected hormone imbalance. And she was right. The first three-week transition was rough; acne, tender breasts, anxiety, nausea, irritability, but it actually cleared up on my second pack. I feel great now and have little to no cramping. I only had breakthrough bleeding once during the switch (since I’m skipping placebos). I plan to keep using it as long as nothing crazy pops up. The only thing I can note is that I’m more emotional from time to time, but I think that’s the ebb and flow of the month anyway. I do have headaches a little more often, but nothing severe."

For Birth Control "I just started my 5th pack of Ortho Cyclen. I have never taken any other birth control pills prior to this one, so I don't really have anything to compare it to, but this one has worked well for me. My boyfriend and I are sexually active and do not want any children, so I decided to take the pill. My first couple of months on it, I did feel a little different - kind of anxious and more mood swings, but that went away as I continued to take the pill and my body adjusted. The positive aspects I have noticed are it protects against pregnancy, is easy to swallow, makes your skin very healthy looking (my skin is glowing after a few months of taking), and makes my periods much, much lighter than they were before starting on birth control."

For Birth Control "I do not recommend this birth control. I have gained thirty pounds in 6 months, tired all of the time, dark thoughts and anxiety, and low sex drive and pain during sex. I am getting off soon because I can not take it anymore. I can not lose weight no matter how hard I try. I was put on for my cysts, which thankfully went away, but the side effects for my experience, at least, a nightmare."

For Birth Control "5 months on Tri-Lo-Marzia & hate it. I have been working out & eating well & continue to gain weight (this never used to be a problem for me even when not exercising/eating well). I have felt random heart palpitations. I get bad cramps/stomach pain. But the worst of all has been my anxiety, irritability, sadness & lack of will. I yell at my fiancé for things that are not his fault (I drop a plate & I blame it on him for no reason). I cry all the time over nothing (I NEVER used to cry about anything). One day I could barely bring myself to put away socks w/o crying or taking 5 breaks (I don't have a lot of socks). It's out of control. I just feel down all the time. Every period I feel like I get a cold (no fever), almost religiously. Chills, runny nose, sore throat for one week every month. I am getting off this medicine for good! Ultimately, I have not gotten pregnant... but I would rather be pregnant than feel how I do and to risk the relationships in my life. Not worth it at all."

For Birth Control "I've been taking Tri-Estarylla for maybe 2 years now, and I didn't seem to have any bad side effects until recently. To be fair, I can't say for sure that these symptoms are due to my birth control, but I'm pretty sure they are. This year, I started having the worst anxiety I've ever had in my life. Within these last few months, I've noticed that my anxiety is mostly under control until about a week before my period. I've never really had PMS symptoms before, just very painful cramps and back pains during and a little cranky before. But now I'm an absolute wreck for about 4 straight days before my period. A crying, anxious, fragile, panicky mess. And it seems to be getting worse. It is unbearable, and I feel like I am literally losing my mind. I know that I've had a difficult time getting Tri-Estarylla the last couple of months because supposedly the manufacturer stopped making it. I don't know, I'm switching my birth control no matter what, but I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience?"

For Birth Control "I was on this for about two months, and I thought I was going insane. My depression was really bad, and my stomach hurt, and I have severe panic and anxiety attacks. Don't get this medicine if you have depression. It'll save you the tears and fights in your relationship."

For Birth Control "I was originally on a different pill, but my insurance wouldn’t cover the name brand, so I was switched to Mono-Linyah. The first month I took this, I suffered from painful cramps and mood swings. I attributed these to switching birth control, and after the first month, they went away. I continued using this pill for a year with little side effects and a lighter, shorter period, yay! But after a year, all the benefits stopped. My acne has exploded! My hair is thinning and falling out. I bleed randomly between periods, and during my regular period, I experience horrible cramps and really heavy bleeding. I started experiencing abnormal levels of anxiety and panic attacks, and I slipped into a really dark depressive state for 2-3 months. The only reason I’m still taking this pill is because it does its job in the sense that it prevents pregnancy. I will be seeing a doctor soon to switch."

For Birth Control "I’ve never left a review for anything before. Not a movie, nor a restaurant, nothing. This birth control is THE WORST. After being on Mononessa for a couple of years and having no issues, Walgreens changed the prescription to Sprintec (also no problems) and then to this Estarylla poison. I’m 18, almost 19, an extremely happy, healthy, active, hardworking person. Estarylla has completely demolished my self-esteem, leaving me in a weird, depressed, anxiety-ridden state for the one and a half months I’ve been taking it. I’ve been feeling like I’m in this weird, dreamlike state for the past few weeks and was so relieved to hear that other people on this medication have felt the same way. I’ve not had the motivation to get work done or socialize due to the extreme mood swings, depression, and fatigue that Estarylla causes. Please, please don’t take Estarylla. For the sake of your mental and physical health."
