For Birth Control "This was the 2nd time being placed on birth control, and it will probably be the last time I EVER take BC again. After only the first week of taking Taytulla, I experienced intense, horrible, debilitating migraines, neck pain, depression, and EXTREME fatigue. Pain was so bad that I cried for my boyfriend to take me to the hospital. After tests came in clear (CT scan, blood work, etc.), it hit me that it possibly was my new BC that I was on. The pain was so bad that I missed a whole week of work. When I decided to stop, I was one pill away from completing a full two weeks on Taytulla. And just like that, from one day to another, my migraines and neck pain TOTALLY DISAPPEARED! But then I became an emotional mess weaning myself off the BC. What a NIGHTMARE!"

For Birth Control "Positive: I never once got pregnant while on Taytulla, and my period that used to be 8-9 days went down to 4 days! I have huge ovarian cysts that were blocking blood flow to my left ovary, which in turn caused me to have my period once every other month or so. After many years, I was happy that for once I wasn't in pain and that everything was finally consistent. Cons: It takes about a month or so to get used to the hormones. My stomach every night felt ice cold, and in the morning I was so nauseated. Once that went away, I noticed I gained about 5 lbs. Asked doc, and he said it should go away... Here I am about a year later and have gone from 130 lb to 175 lb. And let's not even mention not even two months into taking this OC, I have had a severe yeast infection on and off for the last 7-8 months or so. Overall, between the physical symptoms and the fact that it has made my depression more severe (diagnosed with MDD about 10 years ago), I am calling it quits. I am barely 23, I want to enjoy being a young woman."

For Birth Control "Been on this medication, Taytulla, for about three months. The upside to this birth control is that it gave me shorter and lighter periods and protected me against pregnancy. However, I had anxiety, felt tired and sad a lot. My libido is nonexistent, and it has hurt my relationship. So it works, but the side effects make me want to get off and just do the withdrawal method."

For Birth Control "Do not take this birth control. It’s been a little over a month, and my depression is out of control. That is not normal for me. I am not a depressed person, and I will be calling my doctor tomorrow to get off this pill."

For Birth Control "I was on Taytulla for a little over a month, and I would have kept taking it, but I developed the side effect of a DVT!! I would have kept taking this medication had I not, but after getting this diagnosis, I am not touching any form of birth control pill ever again! Some of the other reviews mentioned weight gain, hair loss, and anxiety/depression, but I never experienced these, could be because I wasn’t on it for too long. It actually did seem to help with my anxiety, though. I did experience some spotting and cramping, but I have been experiencing menstrual issues prior to the pill, so this was no big deal for me. I would have rated this higher because it worked pretty well, but for the fact that I could have died, I wouldn’t recommend. This, however, should be taken with a grain of salt because everyone’s body is different and is going to react differently!"

For Birth Control "I used to be on BC for 12 years, stopped, and now, 2 years later, I am back on it for reducing the chance of getting cysts. My doctor chose Taytulla for me - huge mistake. I am assuming they have drug reps who are pushing Taytulla because he gave me a 3-month free sample and told me if I liked it to just call in after the 3 months to get a prescription. He did warn me if I started to get sad to stop taking it and recommended B-6 if I started to get bitchy. So, I started Taytulla, and literally within 3 days, I was already getting sad all the time for really no reason, and it was completely throwing me off. I would take it in the morning, and by nighttime, my hormones were everywhere, my mood swings just didn't make sense, and I was an emotional wreck. Taytulla does indeed work for your period and cycle and all of that, but it's not worth everything else that comes with it. I do not recommend this birth control."

For Birth Control "This is my first time ever taking BC, and I was prescribed Taytulla. It's been about a week, and I haven't had any side effects. No headaches, no weight gain, no feelings of depression or anxiety, and no nausea. It's still early, but so far it works well. I was scared to try it because of the reviews, but just give it a chance."

For Birth Control "Horrible experience. After 6 weeks of taking Taytulla, I started bleeding like a normal period. Only after 2 weeks my period ended, and then it turned very heavy with a lot of clots. This has been the case for 4 days. It has given me bad cramps and GI issues. It has set my anemia back to where it initially began. I also experienced nausea, anxiety, and depression. I’m definitely getting off of this!"

For Birth Control "So, I was perimenopausal-heavy and irregular periods, painful ovulation, anxiety, mood swings, depression, acne, etc. I started a low-dose birth control to try and regulate my system. I take Taytulla continuously and don't break for the 'period.' Before Taytulla, I was on LoLoestrin, then Microgestin. I like the inactive ingredients in Taytulla. LoLoestrin had too low estrogen for me (10 mcg) and dried me out horribly. My moods and energy are better. It took my body three months to adjust. Sex drive good. No weight gain. My breasts increased one cup, and I had to buy new bras-I don't really like this side effect. I am now DD. My anxiety is probably the same."

For Birth Control "I wrote a decent review for Taytulla previously, but would retract it if I could. Since then I’ve experienced bloating, water retention, weight gain, joints aching from wrists to knees and ankles, muscle weakness, fatigue, and have noticed feelings of depression and anxiety. Rarely dealt with any of those before I started taking Taytulla. I feel terrible. Exercising has become grueling. At this point, I’m also suspecting DVT due to some strange tender spots that I’m getting an ultrasound for soon. I came here to make a decision whether to try this Rx or not and read the reviews carefully. Don’t take Taytulla. It’s not a good option. Choose something else."

For Birth Control "I was on Taytulla for two years and stopped a month ago. The first side effect was depression. It wasn’t severe, and it balanced out within 2 months. My moods were stable and my period lightened up, although it never stopped (I didn’t have a very heavy flow to begin with). I gained 20 pounds, and my libido suffered. Despite the minor side effects, I would’ve continued with this pill had it not been for the headaches. I had never had a migraine before starting Taytulla. I then had an ocular migraine, but my doctor said it was unrelated to the pill. After that, I began to suffer from headaches 2-3 times a week and a migraine several times a month. I have not had one headache since I stopped this medication. If strokes or complex migraines run in your family or if you suffer from them already, I do NOT recommend this pill. I have read other reviews where other users began to have headaches as well, even though headaches are not a side effect listed for this medication."

For Birth Control "I’ve used only one other birth control in the past, and this has to be the worst experience I’ve had. It has been over half a year trying out this birth control. I tried to wait it out to see if my body would adjust, and it's unbearable anymore. I already struggle with anxiety, and this birth control made it so much worse. I’ve developed depressive episodes and extreme mood swings while being on this. At times, I even had suicidal thoughts, which has never happened before. Be very careful with taking this if you already have struggles with mental health. Not to mention, libido was non-existent. The only positive is my periods were light, and I gained no weight, but this was not worth it. Upon getting off, all the symptoms I’ve described went away very fast. I would not recommend this birth control at all."

"I've been taking Taytulla for about 7 months to help regulate my period. The first 2 months, I couldn't tell if it was helping regulate my period. Then I started to see it helping with much lighter periods, a little cramping at the beginning of each cycle. So I am happy about that, but I have been having a lot of anger issues, sadness, and anxiety. I am going to have to find a better option. I don't want to live like this."

For Birth Control "One month on Taytulla, and it’s my first time using birth control (to regulate my period). I’ve had my period for 11 days now, and it’s continuing. The blood flow hasn’t been terrible, and I would like for my period to end now. Cramps have been bad. Light headache that has been ongoing since I started this pill. Anxiety and depression worsened. My mood swings are all over the place. The only pro is that I did not get pregnant only one week into the pill."

For Birth Control "After a couple of months of taking this birth control pill, I had extreme anxiety and depression. I have never had anxiety or depression before in my life. This medication made me feel awful to the point I was so anxious I literally felt like my body was growing cancer. I started reading reviews, and they were very similar to how I was feeling. I stopped taking it and am feeling so much better!"

For Birth Control "Terrible!!! Constant migraines. On Taytulla birth control, I’ve had two periods each month. I still bleed just as much. If I’m not on my period, I spot every other day. I also have had super bad anxiety attacks, as well as depression. Switching off this birth control this week!!"

For Birth Control "If I could rate this a 0, I would. My insurance stopped covering Kaitlib, and I was going to have to pay $90/month. I had wanted to try something similar that my insurance would cover. I’ve been on this since January, and I wish I had never started. I’ve gained 30 lbs since January. I retain water like crazy. I’m severely depressed and have no reason to be. I have horrible anxiety to the point of paranoia. I get random pains in my chest and abdomen. I constantly feel like I’m in a fog to the point I can’t focus at work, and people are noticing. I have horrible nightmares that I wake up from, and horrible migraines. This medicine has made me a shell of myself the last 7 months, and I’ve done all that I could to try to hide it from people, but it’s just not working anymore. I’m going to bite the bullet and pay out of pocket for the Kaitlib because I can’t go on like this anymore. On Kaitlib, I at least felt normal, would only get occasional headaches, and somehow managed to drop 70 pounds."

For Birth Control "I've been on Taytulla for 5 months now. The first 3 months, I had no period. It was great. Then I had a period for the last 2 weeks straight. Now I am on a normal schedule. It has helped a lot with pain from PCOS, and, I feel, has also helped my depression and anxiety (which I believe to be related to the PCOS). It is no substitute for actually addressing mental health issues, but I have noticed it to be a little less severe."

For Birth Control "I've been on Taytulla for a month and 6 days, and it has been the worst thing I've ever done. I have tried 2 other birth controls before this (the injection and Nuvaring), and neither made me feel so depressed and anxious. I have also had bleeding with lots of clots for 54 straight days. The migraines and cramps are extremely painful. I was put on this BC because I am thought to have endometriosis from my OBGYN. The only good thing about this product is that I'm not pregnant."

For Birth Control "In the beginning, I had terrible migraines, breast pain, and depression for about 1 week. I was ready to give up, but I decided to give it a try. So glad I did, everything regulated, and now I feel great. Sex drive is kinda low, but no acne. Also, insurance covered it, no copay! Give it a try!"

For Birth Control "I'm 38, and I've been on it for a month. I cry just about every day, and the bloating is unreal. I read the reviews before taking it and was hoping that I would have a more positive experience. Vaginal dryness, mood swings, bloating, depression, and anxiety. I was on a generic of Yaz, and I'm going back to it."

For Birth Control "This was the very first birth control I had ever been put on. My OBGYN recommended it, so I gave it a try and told me to come back in about a month or so to see how my body handled it. It was about a week into taking it when I started feeling nauseous 24/7. I could not even get near food without feeling like I was going to throw up; therefore, I lost weight. This pill made my anxiety and depression skyrocket! The smallest little things made me cry or have anxiety for no reason. I was not happy for a long time because of this birth control. My boobs hurt so bad on this pill, so much that I had to wear only sports bras because even walking down a staircase made me feel like I got punched in each boob. My period was very irregular. I rarely bled on my four placebo pills; I only ever bled randomly; there was no regularity whatsoever."

For Birth Control "After 4 months on Taytulla, I developed depression, anxiety, fatigue, heart issues - episodes of increased pulse and blood pressure (pulse at 120 while sitting still), and abdominal pain. I didn't realize it was the drug and ended up having an abdominal ultrasound, which showed nothing wrong. Depression and fatigue got so bad I could hardly function. The heart stuff is the worst, though, as I felt like I was going to die each time it happened."

For Birth Control "This is the worst pill I have ever taken in my entire life. What happened was the following: I bled for about a month... not normal bleeding, but dark brown spotting. When it was time to get my period, I was incredibly confused because it only lasted one day, and my period usually lasts 5 days. I got the worst anxiety and depression, to the point I would argue and cry for no reason. I’m still suffering from the anxiety. One day I didn’t take it at 12 pm, the usual time I would take it, I took it two hours later... and bang! The dark brown spotting came back. I was on this pill for a month, and I couldn’t take it much longer. Not only did it make me bleed for a month, make me anxious and depressed, ruin my life, but it also gave me pimples, and I’ve never suffered from acne. Now that I’m off it, the anxiety has taken a while to go away, and my new period is super light and way too painful."

For Birth Control "This was the very first birth control I have ever taken in my life. Overall, it did not make me gain any excess weight, nor caused acne. I noticed the first few pills of the pack usually gave me a headache or some nausea. My periods went from extremely heavy to light. The only bad thing about Taytulla is it increased my anxiety and depression. I was a nervous wreck! If you have anxiety, please stay away from this birth control!!!!!"
